The tools are designed to assist and simplify the machining process, and increase the number of products that can be manufactured with quality maintained. The tools aredesigned to use in the manufacture of the carburetor connection with the Freis. Freisprocess here to cut the work piece that originally shaped like a rectangle into a rhombus.The tool is made by using the principle of supporting and supported by the use ofclamping. Supporting made with a flat surface so that the entire supporting surface is assumed to touch the entire workpiece. Meanwhile, the use of bolt clamping aims to unifyworkpieces with supporting so that the workpiece can not be separated and do not moveduring the machining process takes place. This is evidenced by the equation forcesgenerated by the clamping, the force generated is positive so that the proper tool to use.With this tool, production time becomes shorter and the resulting product is also more precise so that the quality and quantity of product is assured. Production costs necessaryto complete the carburetor connection is also cheaper than without using tools.

Idler shaft is the engine components that are often produced in the automotive field, the shaft serves to continue the effort together with the rotation. Making idler shaft through several machining processes such as lathes, sekrap, and Freis. At this time laporn designed tools to process and Freis sekrap in the production of idler shaft. The design of this tool using the clamping screw. Placed on the front clamping tools for process sekrap. Based on the results obtained, the time spent with the tools and shorter setup times smaller than that obtained without the tools, so the production cost by using the tools is greater than the production costs without the tools in this case the production shaft idler.

Cement industry as one of economic agents in addition to technology-intensive production requires good planning also requires planning and transportation patterns of distribution of efficient and effective way to market their products. This is the focus of each cement producers, including PT. Semen Padang. Problems of distribution and transport in the PT. Semen Padang today is not having an optimal assignment system for the delivery of bulk cement sea. Distribution of bulk cement transportation model created is one form of the application of linear programming model integers. This model uses a binary 0 or 1 as a decision variable, in this case is the assignment of the ship. The objective function of this model is the minimization of transport costs to meet demand in each of the packing plant. Approach to fuzzy concepts can be applied to accommodate information that is not definite as, the number of requests in each packing plant.

Brake pads is used to stop the rapid of vehicle while braking process is done. In making process if brake pads is needed a tool to make a operator work easier and can produce the brake pads component more precision, especially in making a hole process. A tool which is designed in drilling process in production of brake pads component use locator 3-2-1 principt in a placement the locator, using clamping to grip the component, and construction of jig dan fixture that is designed must be suitable with needs of making a hole process this brake pads component. To produce this tool, the cost must be calculated, such as direct cost, indirect cost and fixed cost to cover the 1200 lot sizes of this brake pads component. Based on design of this tool, it can be concluded that a tool which design of the drilling process can give benefit because it can help the operator in their work and it can produce the brake pads component more precision, and the rejected product can be minimized presisi. In addition, the set up time can be decreased and the cost be reduced.

A product can look like a system, which is something that still has room for consideration of revisions (evaluation). In the evaluation, value engineering is one technique that systematically by using the techniques of identification of the functions required, apply the values and develop alternatives that achieve the best functional balance between cost and performance of a system or product. In compos Mini Machine products, value engineering done to the component cost is quite high (grade A on the ABC classification). Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) is an important thing that needs to be calculated on the value engineering. The selected alternative for this article is the replacement of roofing material from metal plate to the plastic pulley with cost savings of 55%.

Bank BRI Unit Pasar Baru merupakan unit yang baru didirikan beberapa bulan belakangan ini. BRI unit ini melayani berbagai transaksi perbankan, diantaranya menabung, penarikan uang, peminjaman bahkan melakukan transfer baik sesama bank BRI maupun ke beberapa bank yang lain. Bank ini didirikan karena banyak nasabah yang berada di sekitar Pasar Baru yang biasanya melakukan transaksi ke BRI Unit Bandar Buat sekarang sudah dapat dilakukan di BRI Unit Pasar Baru. Ini merupakan salah satu langkah dari BRI untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanannya kepada masyarakat. Dalam melakukan kegiatan transaksinya bank ini mempunyai dua teller. Kedua teller ini melayani semua jenis transaksi, sehingga teller harus memahami masing-masing sistem dalam setiap jenis transaksi. Berdasarkan keterangan diatas, Hal ini merupakan masalah yang menarik untuk dibahas karena sistem yang ada pada bank ini masih melakukan penyesuaian dalam operasinya dikarenakan bank ini merupakan unit baru dari Bank BRI. Setiap hari bank ini melayani banyak nasabah untuk melakukan transaksi yang berbeda-beda. Jumlah nasabah yang melakukan transaksi tertentu tidak sama setiap harinya, kadang-kadang pada hari tertentu jumlah nasabah yang menabung tinggi, misalnya pada awal bulan dan begitu juga sebaliknya. Oleh karena itu, keadaan yang dinamis seperti ini perlu dilakukan simulasi sistem agar probabilitas atau kemungkinan dari sistem pada setiap harinya dapat ditentukan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari simulasi yang dilakukan Bank BRI Unit Pasar Baru Padang adalah jumlah teller yang dimiliki sekarang yaitu sebanyak 2 teller cukup untuk melayani nasabah Bank BRI untuk wilayah Pasar Baru dan sekitarnya. Hal ini dikarenakan jumlah nasabah yang datang perhari rata-rata 13-14 nasabah, sehingga utilitas masing-masing teller adalah 0.204 pada teller 1 dan 0.221 pada teller 2.

Antrian terjadi apabila waktu proses lebih besar dari pada waktu antar kedatangan. Dalam hal ini dilakukan pengamatan pada SPBU Gunung Pangilun. Tujuannya adalah untuk melihat bagaimana sistem antrian pada pengisian bahan bakar yang dikhususkan pada kendaraan roda dua. Ukuran performa dari sistem ini adalah jumlah antrian, waktu antrian dan nilai utilitas. Berdasarkan ukuran performa dari simulasi yang dilakukan inilah diberikan suatu usulan perbaikan terhadap sistem yang telah ada sehingga diperoleh sistem yang lebih baik (continuous improvement). Berdasarkan data pengamatan yang diperoleh lalu dibuatlah suatu model simulasi terhadap sistem yang diamati. Dalam penyelesaian permasalahan ini digunakan software arena. Hasil yang diperoleh dari simulasi tersebut adalah terlihat bahwa terjadinya antrian dari entiti yang diproses. Sehingga diberikan usulan skenario perbaikan yaitu penembahan server dengan tujuan permasalahan antrian dapat diatasi. Rekomendasi perbaikan yang diberikan berdasarkan hasil simulasi yang dilakukan adalah tidak perlu dilakukan penambahan server karena akan membuat menurunnya nilai utiliatas dari server tersebut. Sehingga menyebabkan kurang optimalnya pemanfaatan dari server tersebut.

PT. X berencana akan melakukan relokasi gudang ke area yang lebih besar. Pengaturan tataletak produk saat ini menggunakan metoda randomized storage. Produk dengan jenis yang sama ditempatkan pada lebih dari satu lokasi dan tidak adanya lokasi penyimpanan produk yang tetap. Cara penyimpanan seperti ini tidak efisien karena operator pengambilan akan membutuhkan waktu untuk melakukan pencarian terutama jika operator yang bertugas mengambil dan menyimpan produk adalah orang yang berbeda. Disamping itu, cara ini juga dapat mengakibatkan jarak tempuh operator menjadi lebih panjang. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang ulang tataletak gudang untuk lokasi baru dengan kriteria maksimasi utilisasi luas lantai, memperlancar proses penyimpanan dan pengambilan produk di gudang, dan minimasi total jarak tempuh operator. Perancangan tataletak gudang dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode dedicated storage location policy. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan diperoleh rancangan tataletak gudang usulan memiliki total luas lantai terpakai sebesar 343,80 m2 dengan Ekspektasi total jarak tempuh 4.137 m per hari.

echnological developments lead to the entire company continues to enhance innovation in creating products derived from it, including the telephone industry.In a few years, the telephone industry introduced a variety of smartphone, including smartphones based on operating system RIM (Research in Motion) which produces branded Blackberry and smartphone based Android operating system with one of the companies that have joined with the operating system is Samsung Android. The research was conducted by measuring the consumer based marketing mix and should be able to explain what factors areas sociated with the sale of the two smartphones. Marketing mixis a set ofmarketing toolsused by companies to continuously achieve their marketing goals. The marketing tools are classified into four groups namely known 4Ps: product, price, place, and promotion. This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to the respondents as many as 160 pieces and 160 pieces of Blackberry smartphones to the Samsung Android smartphone respondents. Tests performed with Kendall Tau correlation test using SPSS 15 software. The results showed that the variables of product, price and promotion has a significant correlation to the consumer buying decision on Blackberry smartphones. However, variable rates become very dominant variables related to consumer purchasing decisions for Blackberry smartphones. Meanwhile the Kendall Tau correlation test on the Samsung Android smartphones, only products have a price and a significant correlation on consumer purchasing decisions against Samsung's Android smartphones, and variable products become a dominant variables related to consumer purchasing decisions. Thus it can be done by both companies marketing strategies in order to achieve sales targets and products in accordance with marketing objectives.

The purpose of this study to design a logistics management information system, which is able to overcome the problem of delay in sending information data items. This information system is designed to be easier to manage enterprise data, and makes all job become more effective and efficient. One of the conveniences one would be given through this information system is in search for an information about an item because all the data items will be recorded for inclusion into the database so that the information search an item will be easy and fast.
