In the distribution of electrical energy from substations to the load center distribution channels are needed. The problem that often occurs in distribution channels is short circuit interference. Often the location of the disturbance cannot be immediately located, thus slowing down the process of handling the disturbance. Disturbances that occur in the 20 kV distribution network are temporary (temporary interruption) and permanent (permanent fixes that take a long time). Even the interference that was originally only temporary can turn into permanent interference, because the protection system installed does not work optimally. To overcome this, it is necessary to analyze the disturbance zone in the distribution network. Protection on the electricity distribution network has a very important role for the reliability and continuity as well as the security of electricity distribution, especially at the end of the load and one-phase branching. The inter-safety coordination on the distribution network must be in accordance with the standards set by PT PLN (Persero) ). In one phase branching area there is a safety against the current interference that may occur, namely Fuse Cut Out (FCO). very small short circuit, for that we need to pay attention to the way the recloser works with FCO (fuse Cut Out) so that the two safeguards can work well and avoid coordination failures on one-phase branching lines, so that the blackout area can be reduced. do the OCR relay settings in recl oser and Determination of suitable FCO rating so that the type used can be in accordance with the standard and can be in accordance with the load conditions in the field.

The PDAM is still using an analog flow meter. For PDAM customers, information on analog flow meters is difficult to access and convert into payment amounts. With an analog reading system, the PDAM officer still records using the manual method of the customer's total water consumption data. From the problems above, we need a digital reading system that can display customer water consumption and payment data that can be accessed by customers. The reading of the volume of water consumed by PDAM customers via SMS is a device designed based on the Arduino Uno microcontroller, equipped with the ability to monitor water usage in real time using SMS media. The reading of the volume of water consumed by PDAM customers uses a water flow sensor that functions to read the flow of water that passes and provides pulse output. Arduino Uno receives pulse output from the water flow sensor which is then converted into a number that shows the number and tariff of water usage of PDAM customers. The LCD displays information on total usage, usage rates, time and date in real time. The SIM800L module sends SMS based on orders received from customers and PDAM officials. The results achieved in this study are the water flow sensor is able to read the amount of water consumption of PDAM customers with an average deviation of 0.034%. Tests show the results of payment conversions are in accordance with the PDAM payment model in Palu City.

The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education is one of the Faculties that has the most buildings in Tadulako University, which of course requires large capacity electrical equipment facilities and also requires large electric power as well. To provide optimal services so that lecture, practicum and other activities are not disrupted due to electrical problems. Electricity problems at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education are currently caused by excessive loading that is not adjusted to the transformer capacity at the Economic Substation, The distance that is served by the Economic Substation is approximately 950 meters so that it causes losses on the network. Based on the calculation of the total load obtained for lighting, room conditioning and auxiliary contact boxes of 167,402 kVA and considering the addition of Loads and Buildings within the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, the transformer capacity used is 200 kVA and according to SPLN Transformers with capacities below 200 kVA must use Portal substation construction.

Vehicle theft is one of the most common cases in big cities. The absence of a security system on a vehicle is one of the causes of the case. Therefore, we need a security system on the vehicle in the form of an alarm and can also perform the tracking function. This study aims to design a vehicle security system using GPS and SMS Gateway technology. This system uses the u-blox Neo6m GPS module, GSM SIM 800L v2 module and Arduino Uno microcontroller. The tracking system uses data from GPS coordinates sent to the user's smartphone number and displayed on the Google Maps application. The accuracy of GPS coordinates in this system when compared to GPS on smartphones has a gap of between 1 - 26 meters. The response time when the user sends a command to track the vehicle to get a reply sms that is ± 37.6 seconds.

Building or home security systems at this time are needed because there are still many security systems that can trigger crime, one of which is the use of padlock or conventional door locks and security that has not worked automatically. A security system is needed which has a high level of security and is automatic so that it does not bother users. Security systems are often a problem, namely the low level of security, how to use is not easy, and not automatic. The way to overcome this problem is to create a security system that has tight security, easy to use, works continuously automatically and can be connected to the user's mobile phone. Based on research that has been made this security system shows one of the security systems that have a high level of security because it is equipped with an infrared sensor that serves to detect the presence of humans, the camera takes pictures if the infrared sensor detects humans, a fingerprint sensor that functions as access to open the door and all The sensor works automatically and continuously and can be connected to mobile phones through the internet, this security system works well and can be relied upon.

Sometimes the classification of news categories is still an obstacle. Classification can be wrong because it is still subjective. As a result, the selected category does not match the uploaded news description. Based on these problems, the authors feel the need to make Classification of News Types with the Naïve Bayes Classifier Algorithm. The importance of this system is to be able to classify news and help news seekers to get the news they want. Based on the test results, the Naïve Bayes Classifier algorithm has a good performance for the classification of news types. This is evidenced in testing using news data taken from www.kompasiana.com, then news is classified into four categories namely politics, economics, sports, and entertainment. The classification results using 16 test news obtained an accuracy of 87.5%.

Electricity demand is increasing with the development of technology in various fields, such as agriculture, medicine, automotive and others. But for controlling electricity in a room or building there are still found to be less efficient. In controlling electricity or remote control using SMS need to pay attention to the signal that is on the SIM800L sms module. The way to get a signal is the need for power supply above 2 amperes for this SIM800L module. This final project produces a tool that can control electricity in a room that is connecting and disconnecting the electricity supply using an RFID card which can turn on and off each room, even more than two outputs at once, and use SMS media for remote control.

Utilization of synchronous generators on micro-hydro Power plant (PLTMH) need direct monitoring with some parameters such as voltage and current. From the results of the monitoring, the information can be obtained whether the synchronous generator installation is appropriate and produce the expected output power. In some studies, the results of current and voltage measurements are still done by manual use of multimeter, so that the data obtained can not be recorded continuously. The purpose of this research is to create a monitoring system on synchronous generators using arduino-based data logger. Monitoring system using data logger is equipped with timing system. Based on the research that has been done can be concluded that the monitoring system on synchronous generators using arduino-based data logger can record current, voltage, and power in real time resulting from generator performance and then record or save the data into the form of CSV file (comma separated values) every 2 seconds into the micro SD and the data can be displayed through Microsoft Office software namely Microsoft Excel.

The use of three-phase induction motors in the industrial world is increasingly growing, in addition to industry, the transportation department is also increasingly using induction motors with the development of transportation models that use electricity. But testing in the performance of induction motors is still not applied. Only the industrial world is able to set test standards for the performance of induction motors. Performance can be seen by monitoring how the output speed of the induction motor. This study aims to create a system that is able to see the performance of the induction motor output in a graph in real time and continuously. In the implementation results, it can be seen that the monitoring system can display a graph that matches the reading of the speed sensor mounted on the induction motor.

Central Sulawesi, precisely in the city of Palu, is one of the areas that frequently occurs in earthquakes and has high seismicity. The regional geology of the Palu area and its surroundings is dominated by quarterly deposits consisting of fluivatil and alluvium deposits. These natural conditions have several potentials that are detrimental, including the potential for liquidity. (Widyaningrum, 2012). Liquidation is an event that occurs when a soil becomes saturated or loses its ability to support the mass above it because the land changes form into heavy water or becomes liquid. Lack of further knowledge about the faction by the surrounding community causes a lack of vigilance in dealing with the faction. The things that people need to know about potentially liquefaction soils are data on soil moisture, changes in underground temperature, and vibrations that are felt underground when earthquakes occur shortly after liquefaction using a device in the form of an arduino nano-based data recorder. The Design of Arduino Nano Based Likuefaction Data Recording Tool can be used to record and record data on lycufaction disaster events. And is used to make it easier to analyze the potential occurrence of liquefaction in certain regions by utilizing the sensor to measure soil temperature, soil moisture, and vibrations that occur in the soil.
