Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the direct and indirect effect of job description and jobplacement on organization effectiveness through job satisfaction. The population included all 212 employeePGT department PT CPI. The sample consist of 139 persons using cluster random sampling. Variabel that beingused is job description and job placement as independent variabel, job satisfaction as variabel intervening andorganization effectiveness as variable dependent. The data were analyzed using path analysis using SPSS.Purpose of this research is to see progress of organization effectiveness in PT CPI and to evaluate its jobsatisfaction during change of job placement and job deskription. Primary data are collected to reveal employeeperceptions of the effectiveness of organization and their knowledgein their new job description, job placementand job satisfaction.Results shows that organization effectiveness for PT CPI develop because job satisfaction , job description, andjob placement of their employee. Employee knows job description to filled in. Finding also shows job placementnot significantly affect the effectiveness of the organization. The results of this paper is limited to the ability ofworkers shows the results of the actual effectiveness of the organization.Keywords-organization effectiveness, job satisfaction, job description,job placement

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of simultaneous and partial as well as the mostdominant of the factors of leadership, work culture and work environment on the performance of personnelthrough work discipline Riau Police personnel. Collecting data using a questionnaire that was distributed to100 personnel as respondents with a proportional approach and purposive sampling. The primary analysis ofthe study data with the two-stage regression based factor scores in factor analysis, in addition to descriptiveanalysis.The results show, hasa very high work performance and discipline, and have very good leadership factors, workculture, and work environment. Taken together, leadership, work culture and work environment significantlyaffect labor discipline, butin the category of weak predictive ability.This is because the only significant leadershipas well as the positive influence of the most dominant.But the culture and working environment indicates its roleindirectly to the work discipline, through leadership. While labor discipline have a major positive effect andsignificant impact on personnel performance.In addition,the results also indicate no significant leadership,culture and work environmentt directly affects the performance of personnel in Riau Police.Keywords: Leadership and Discipline Working Police Personnel of Riau.

Abstract

Staple foods such as rice needs of Indonesia’s populationis in creasing annually in line within creasesin population. Consumer demand forrice vary fromone customer to another. Under standing the type and qualityof rice what is needed by consumers will facilitate indetermining the marketing strategy of rice. The purpose ofthe study was to determine the effect of direct and indirect perception of quality and price perception onpurchase interest through perceived value and corporate image. The study population are consumers of rice inthe city of Pekanbaru. The number of samples are 140 people selected by purposive sampling technique. Thevariables used are perceived quality and perceived price as an independent variable, buying interest as thedependent variable and the variable perceived value and image of the company as an intervening variable. Theanalysis too lis used path analysis (path analysis). The results showed that the direct perception of productquality and price perception is positive but not significant effect on buying interest. Perceived quality andperceived price positive and significant impact directly and indirectly on buying interest through perceivedvalue but not significant through the company’s image.While perceived value positive and significant impactonthe buying interest, while the image of the company but not significant positive effect on buying interest. The roleof mediating variables is greater than the perceived value of variables affecting the company’s image in theperception of quality and price perceptions of the buying interest.Keyword: Perception ofQuality, PricePerception, Perceived Value, Corporate Image and Interests.

Abstract

Background in research due to a decrease in employee performance PPL. For that to know the cause of adecrease in performance with attention to leadership and compensation, presented the formulation of the problem,namely : Does leadership and compensation simultaneously affect the employee ‘s performance extension agents at theExecutive Agency and the Food Security Extension Siak? Is leadership a partial effect on employee performance ExtensionOfficers (PPL) at the Executive Agency for Food Security Extension Siak? Is partially compensating effect on employeeperformance Extension Officers at the Executive Agency for Food Security Extension Siak Siak? The purpose of this studywas to analyze the effect of simultaneous and partial compensation to employee performance and leadership ExtensionOfficers at the Executive Agency and the Food Security Extension Siak.The population is all employees of PPL on the Executive Agency and the Food Security Extension Siak totaling 129people, using the Slovin thus obtained a sample of 57 respondents. The type of data used is primary data and secondarydata. Data was collected through interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis method used is descriptive andquantitative method, which is the value of analyzing the data obtained are tabulated by multiple regression formula.Based on the research results, we can conclude that the variable compensation assessed not affect performance becauseof the survey results revealed that the variable compensation assessed not affect performance because of the compensationreceived by an employee is already a provision regulated by Law no compensation can affect performance becauseaccording to respondents, performance their compensation earned will remain the same. Good leadership can improvethe performance of employees through motivation provided to employees. The existence of the leadership in the workplacecan increase employee performance, is seen when the leadership is in place PPL carry out their duties, then they will bespirit and enterprising in the line of duty, whereas if it is not the same in terms of leadership, usually PPL casual work .PPL ‘s performance needs to be improved because of the declining performance of PPL indications lead to the publicagricultural extension becomes effective and on target.Keywords : Compensation , Leadership and Performance

Abstract

The purpose of this research, is to analyze the effect of each service marketing mix factor – directlytowards loyalty or indirectly through consumer’s satisfaction. Data gathering is by questionnaires, spread to206 respondents chosen by the purposive sampling method. Aside from using Partial Least Square as a tool forvariance based Structural Equation Modeling, descriptive analysis is also done.The research found that, service marketing mix prediction model tend to be positive towards satisfaction. This iscaused by the significance price positive effect, human resources, process, and physical evidence. Even thoughit’s decreasing, service marketing mix direct prediction model altogether with the satisfaction towards consumer’sloyalty trend tends to be positive. This is mainly because of the dominance of satisfaction and price positive rolesignificance. Satisfaction Amplifying effect is more meaningful for human resources, physical evidence, process,and price factors. Price is the most important factor in the service marketing mix in increasing BPR consumerloyalty in the Riau Pesisir area, and by whole, the model has a positive predictive relevance.Key words : Service marketing mix, satisfaction, loyalty, BPR, Riau Pesisir.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there are differences in the Capital Adequacy Ratio(CAR), Net Interest Margin (NIM), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Return on Assets (ROA), Operating Expenses toOperating Income (ROA), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), and stock returns in the two periods of crisis in Indonesia.Namely the 1997 and 2008 samples in this study were all from the years 1993 to 2010 the banking company. Thedata analysis technique used in this study using a different test (t test).There are four hypotheses to be tested in the research ini. testing shows that for the variable CAR, NIM, NPM,ROA, ROA, and LDR there are differences in the performance of the company before the crisis of 1997 with theperformance of the company after the 1997 crisis, while, from the test results for the variable return stock showsthat there is no difference stock returns before the 1997 crisis after the 1997 crisis results show that there aredifferences in LDR and stock returns before the banking crisis of 2008 and after the 2008 crisis, while, from theresults of the test there was no difference before the 2008 crisis and post-crisis 2008 for the variable CAR, NIM,NPM, ROA, and BOPO.Hasil testing shows that there are differences in NIM, NPM, ROA, LDR and bankingcompany stock returns before the crisis before the crisis of 1997 and 2008, while, from the results of the test therewas no difference in the pre-crisis before the crisis of 1997 and 2008 for variable CAR and ROA. testing showsthat there are differences in the CAR, NIM, NPM, ROA, ROA, and stock returns after the banking crisis of 1997and after the crisis of 2008, while, from the results of the test there was no difference in post-crisis after the crisisof 1997 and 2008 for variable LDR.Keywords : Camel, Economic CrisisI.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the effect of giving education and training, job satisfaction andleadership on inpatient nurses performance in Local Public Hospital of Siak. There were 67 inpatient nurseswho participated in this research. The researcher used multiple linear regression analysis in order to determinethe effect between nursing education and training, job satisfaction and leadership and nursing performancesat Local Public Hospital of Siak. Based on the result of this study, it was clearly stated that some of variablessuch as nursing education and training, job satisfaction and leadership would give some positive impacts onnursing performances at Local Public Hospital of Siak. Therefore, the hospital managements should considerabout giving a good attention and motivation to their staff by providing programmed education and trainings,compensation adjustments, and the variable of job satisfaction and leadership. the result of this study canprovide some information or guidance for the nurses and hospital management staff to improve their educationand training, job satisfaction and leadership and nursing performances in the future.Keywords : Education and Training, Job Satisfaction, Leadership and nursing performance

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of financial ratios of banks consisting of CAR, NPL, NIM, ROA and LDR oncredit growth and profit growth in the 8 (eight) Regional Development Bank in Indonesia, especially on theisland of Sumatra in the period 2007-2011. The samples used were taken using census method is to include theentire population there to be sampled to be used in this study.Partial test results indicate that CAR is negative and significant effect on credit growth as well as a significantlypositive effect on earnings growth. NPL ratio partially no significant effect on credit growth but significant effecton earnings growth. ROA ratio is negative and significant effect on credit growth but not significant in affectingearnings growth. NIM ratio is negative and significant effect on the growth of credit, but does not significantlyaffect the growth in earnings. LDR no significant effect on credit growth but significantly and positively affectprofit growth while existing credit growth is able to mediate the perpetually perfect (perfect mediation) betweenfinancial ratios consisting of CAR, NPL, NIM, ROA and LDR on regional development bank profit growth inSumatra in the period 2007 to 2011.Keywords: Financial Ratios, Credit Growth and Profit Growth

Abstract

This research’s purpose is to discover and analyze the four dimensional brand equity effects whichconsist of brand awareness, perceived quality, brand loyalty, and brand association, either directly towardscustomer value or indirectly through lifestyle variable. This research is based on some of Pappu’s model (2005),by using brand awareness, perceived quality, brand loyalty, brand association, lifestyle, and customer valuedimensions. Measurement is done by the convenience sampling method. Data analysis is done by StructuralEquation Modeling using Partial Least Square.The research found that the prediction model is directly in agood state from the dimensions of brand equity with lifestyle, and only brand awareness has a positive effecttowards lifestyle. The other dimensions of perceived quality, brand loyalty, and brand association are notsignificantly and positively affected directly on lifestyle. However, on brand equity, there are only two dimensions- brand loyalty and brand association which positively affects customer value. Lifestyle dimension as interveningvariable in this research shows positive and significant effect in shaping customer value. As a whole, the modelon this research has a good predictive relevance value. In the next research, it is important to focus on creatinga non-monetary customer value. Perceived quality can be guided to increase brand loyalty and association, byincreasing brand function. Abstract

This research is to investtigate the influence of merchandise, price, place, promotion, Atmospher, and retail sevice effect on cutomer statisfaction and costumer loyalty. The reserach was done in Pekanbaru in January untilNovember 2013. Samples of this reserach were the Pekanbaru’s citizen and household needs. Convience sampling became theresearch’ choice in sampling method. 250 customer of Giant Hypermarket Pekanbaru was taken as sample. Data analysis technique of path analysis.The results ofthis study indicatethat Merchandise, price, place, Promotion, Atmospher, Retail service indicatesthat had positive influence. Ifthe higher Merchandise, price, Location, Promotion, Atmospheric, Retail service, the customer statisfaction is also getting strongerandthroughthecustomersatisfactionvariableswill directlyincreasecustomer loyalty. Price and promotion variables showed the most dominant influence than other variablesKeywords: RetailMarketing Mix, CustomerSatisfactionandLoyalty.
