Abstract

This study aims to determine the achievement motivation, student perceptions about the principal leadership style and teacher competence, student discipline, and mathematics learning outcomes, the influence of achievement motivation, students' perceptions of the principal leadership style and teacher competence, the results of learning mathematics either directly or Not directly through the discipline of students of class X SMK Negeri 2 Majene. This type of research is ex post facto that is causality. The population of this study are all students of class X SMA Negeri 2 Majene lesson 2015/2016. The technique of determining the sample is done by using proportional stratified random sampling. Instruments in this study using questionnaires and tests of learning outcomes. Data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics of SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) method. The results showed: (1) Student achievement Motivation X Grade SMK Negeri 2 Majene is in the high category, students 'perceptions about the leadership style of headmaster are in the medium category, students' perceptions about teacher competence are in high category, student discipline is in high category Dan The results of mathematics learning are in the medium category; (2) Achievement motivation has positive and significant effect on mathematics learning result, either directly or indirectly through student discipline. (3) The students' perceptions about the leadership style of principals are not significant on the mathematics learning outcomes, and positive and significant achievement of mathematics learning outcomes through student discipline, (4) students' perceptions of teachers' competence have a positive and significant impact on the learning outcomes of mathematics, Directly or indirectly through student discipline

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of cooperative learning model two stay two stray (TSTS) with PAIKEM approach in mathematics learning in eighth grade material loop9 SMP Negeri 1 Makassar. This research is an experimental research. The study design used is Pre-Experimental Design, namely the One-group pretest posttest design.The study included all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Makassar and the sample class VIII9 selected by clusterrandom sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. Class VIII9 were given treatment that implement cooperative learning model two stay two stray with PAIKEM approach. The data collection technique used is the test result of learning, observation sheets, and sheets questionnaire. The results showed that: 1) the results of the eighth grade students to learn mathematics9 SMP Negeri 1 Makassar after the implementation of cooperative learning model two stay two stray by more than 74.9 PAIKEM approach (KKM) are in thecategory medium with a mean of 76.15, an increase result of learning mathematics (the gain) class VIII9 SMP Negeri 1 Makassar significantly and at the high category, the results of students' mathematics learning in class VIII9 SMP Negeri 1 Makassar after being taught to use the implementation of cooperative learning model two stay two stray approach PAIKEM achieve mastery classical, which is only 87.2% (over 80%), the standard deviation of 8.84, 2) students in learning activities with the implementation of cooperative learning model two stay two stray with PAIKEM approachin the category is very active with an average score of 4,54; and 3) a student's response on learning with the implementation of cooperative learning model two stay two stray with PAIKEM approaches are in positive category. Abstract

The study is experiment research which aims at: (1) describing the effectiveness of cooperative learning model of TPS-NHT type in Mathematics learning in classVIII at SMPN 1 in Makassar; (2) describing the effectiveness of cooperative learning model of TPS-TGT type in Mathematics learning in classVIII at SMPN 1 in Makassar; (3) discovering the comparison of the effectiveness of cooperative learning model between TPS-NHT type and TPS-TGT type in Mathematics learning in class VIII at SMPN 1 in Makassar. The population of the research was all of class VIII students at SMPN 1 in Makassar of academic year 2016/2017 and the samples consisted of two classes, namely class VIII.4 taught by cooperative learning model of TPS-NHT type and class VIII.5 taught by cooperative learning model of TPS-TGT type taken by employing cluster random sampling technique. The data which were collected consist of the students’ learning results, the students’ learning motivations, the students’ activities during the learning process and the students’ responses toward the implementation of learning model. The results of the research reveal that the score of Mathematics learning result of class VIII.4 students is in high category with the mean 83.85 and standard deviation 11.51, classical completeness is 85%, the average of normalized gain is in high category, the average score of students’ learning motivation is in high category, the average of normalized gain of learning motivation is ini medium category, the students’ activity in following the learning process is ini good category, and the students’responses toward the implementation of cooperative learning model of TPS-NHT type is positive. In general, it can be concluded that cooperative learning model of TPS-NHT type is effective to be implemented in Mathematics learning in class VIII.4 at SMPN 1 in Makassar. The score of Mathematics learning result of class VIII.5 students’is in high category with the mean 80.15 and standard deviation 9.79, classical completeness is 82.5%, the average of normalized gain is in high category, the average score of the students’ learning motivation is in high category, the average of normalized gain of learning motivation is in medium category, the students’ activity in following the learning process is in good category, and the students’ responses toward the implementation of cooperative learning model of TPS-TGT type is positive. In general, it can be concluded that cooperative learning model of TPS-TGT type is effective to be implemented in Mathematics learning in class VIII.5 at SMPN 1 in Makassar. The result of hypothesis test at the significant level α = 0.05 with t-test shows that H0 is accepted meaning that there is no difference of learning effectiveness between the students’ who were taught by using cooperative model of TPS-NHT type and the students’ who were taught by using cooperative model TPS-TGT type in Mathematics learning on SPLDV material in class VIII at SMPN 1 in Makassar

Abstract

This study aims to find out: (1) the profile of cognitive strategies of junior high school students in learning equation of straight line, both in understanding the material and in problem solving, (2) description of learning result of equation of straight line of junior high school student from the type of cognitive strategy used. This research procedure through two stages, namely through the preparation stage and implementation phase. The preparation stage includes the preparation of learning tools in the form of Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), Student Book, Teacher Book, Student Activity Sheet (LKS), Cognitive Strategy Brochure, and research instrument. The things prepared in this preparation phase are validated, except the cognitive strategy brochure. While the implementation stage includes the application of learning tools to students of class VIII1 SMP Negeri 2 Bantimurung as a selected class. In the implementation phase, it is obtained: (1) cognitive strategy in understanding the material displayed in the student's book and cognitive strategy in problem solving which is shown in the LKS (qualitative data), and (2) the score of learning result test (quantitative data). The results of the analysis on the qualitative part found in general cognitive strategy profile to understand the material of straight-line equation is to underline the important things of formulas and the profile of cognitive strategy to solve the problem of straight-line equation is deductive thinking strategy. Description of learning result of equation of straight line after learning by using cognitive strategy is average score 71,68 with standard deviation 12,33 from ideal score 100. Minimum score obtained by student is 50,00 and maximum score obtained by student is 94,83 With a score range of 44.83. Students who have a cognitive strategy profile are able to highlight important things, able to make summaries and able to complete concept maps, and have experience in solving problems by applying heuristic strategies, deductive thinking, and forward thinking have learning outcomes in very high categories, whereas Students who are incapable of completing concept maps and having no advanced thinking strategy generally have high learning outcomes, and students who do not have a strategy in understanding the material and have only experience in solving problems by implementing deductive strategies have learning outcomes in the medium category And low.

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to describe student errors types in solving solid geometry problems based on mathematics skills and to know the causes of student errors happened. The major mathematics skills consisted of number fact, arithmetics, information, language, visual spatial skill. This research was qualitative. Data collection techniques were done by test and interview. Respondents were 6 from 39 mathematics education students academic year of 2016/2017 in Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta that consisted of each 2 students in high, middle, low level respectively. This grouping were conducted based on the test results. Every respondent was interviewed about their answer of the test. The results of this research indicated that students in high level did errors on number fact and visual spatial skill. Students in middle level did errors on five type of mathematics skills. Students in low level did errors on four type of mathematics skills except arithmetics skill

Abstract

The Research is Quasi Experiment which aims to discover whether learning model and cognitive style influenced mathematics learning results of class VII student at MTs. Muallilimin Muhammadiyah Makassar. The populations on the research were all students at MTs. Muallimin Muhammadiyah in Makassar  consisted  of three classes in academic year 2015/2016. The samples were determined by using cluster random sampling technique. The samples chosen were class VII A and VII C with 38 students in class VII A and 34 students in class VII C. There were two variables in the research, namely: (1) independent variables consisted of learning model and cognitive style and (2) dependent variable was the students’ learning result in mathematics. The intended learning model is cooperative model of MMP type modified with STAD learning model and cognitive model of MMP typed modified with TAI types; whereas, the intended cognitive style is reflective and implsive cognitive style. The instrument of the resrch were MFFT cognitive style test and test of mathematics learning result. The data of research was analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistic analysis by using independent sampel t test analysis. The result of the research reveal that there is no difference f Mathematics learning result of student who were taught by using cooperative model of MMP type modified with STAD type  student taught by using cooperative model on MMP type modified with TAI type, there is no difference of learning result of students who have reflction cognitive and students who have impulsive cognitive style on the implementation of cooperative model of MMP type modified with STAD type, and there is no difference of learning result of students who have reflective cognitive style and the students who have impulsive cognitive style type on the implementation of cooperative model of MMP type modified with TAI type

Abstract

The low result of the assessment of math learning is the impact of teaching and learning process, copy and paste learning tools and also influenced by very limited facilities and infrastructure. To respond to these challenges, the development of STAD type cooperative learning tools is done. The formulation of the problem in this research is how the process and outcomes of STAD type cooperative learning learning tools with a valid, practical, and effective posing problem approach. The purpose of this research is To produce STAD type cooperative learning tool with problem posing approach which valid, practical, and effective. This research is a development research that refers to four D models (Model 4-D). The development process in the first and second phases leads to learning tools (textbooks, learners' activity sheets, lesson plans, and mathematics learning appraisals), development in the third phase of validation and device testing. For the purposes of testing the device is done by following the syntax model of STAD cooperative learning model with problem posing approach. While the fourth phase of socialization to friends of teachers in schools in order to refine the device developed. The subjects of the study were students of SMA Negeri 2 Bantaeng class X1 as many as 34 people. The instruments used include device validation sheet, observation sheet instrument (learning device implementation, student activity, student response questionnaire to learning and mathematics learning appraisal). The instrument, excepting the test, is an instrument that has been used in previous research by Fitriani (2005) but has been modified as an adjustment to the geometric material in this study. The result of the research shows that learning tools developed include Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), Textbook Lesson, Student Activity Sheet, and Mathematics Learning Appraisal after validation and testing are valid, practical, effective and efficient. Used in mathematics learning. Analysis of the assessment of mathematics learning obtained the average score of 81.7 students and 88% of students have achieved the value of KKM in classical. Mathematics learning outcomes of pesetas increased significantly after being taught using STAD type cooperative learning tool with problem posing approach

Abstract

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model kooperatif tipe talking stick dengan strategi mind mapping dalam pembelajaran matematika siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Rantepao. Keefektifan penerapan model pembelajaran ini mengacu pada 3 indikator ketercapaian yaitu hasil belajar siswa, aktivitas siswa, dan respon siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pra-eksperimen dengan pendekatan one group pretest-postest design. Populasi adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Rantepao tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 yang terdiri dari 10 kelas yang dibagi kedalam 2 kategori kelas yakni kelas unggulan (VII1 dan VII2) dan kelas regular (VII3 – VII10). Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik stratified random sampling sehingga diperoleh sampel yaitu kelas VII1 terdiri dari 41 orang dan VII5 terdiri dari 41 orang, untuk selanjutnya kedua kelas ini dianggap sebagai satu grup dengan perlakuan yang sama yaitu diajar dengan menerapkan model kooperatif tipe talking stick dengan strategi mind mapping.. Perangkat pembelajaran yang digunakan yaitu RPP, LKS, dan Buku Siswa. Instrumen penelitian yakni tes hasil belajar, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, angket respon siswa, dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran berada pada kategori sangat baik yakni dengan skor rata-rata 4,72, (2) Hasil belajar siswa (posttest) berada pada kategori tinggi yang mencapai nilai rata-rata 79,06 (KKM=76) dengan nilai gain ternormalisasi 0,73 atau berada pada kategori tinggi, serta ketuntasan secara klasikal sebesar 82% > 80%, (3) Aktivitas siswa berada pada kategori baik dengan rata-rata 3,7, (4) respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran yang menerapkan model kooperatif tipe talking stick dengan strategi mind mapping adalah sangat positif dengan persentase respon siswa 98%. Karena setiap indiator keefektivan yakni hasil belajar siswa, aktivitas siswa, dan respon siswa masing-masing telah mencapai kriteria eefektif, maka secara deskriptif dapat disimpulkan bahwa model kooperatif tipe talking stick dengan strategi mind mapping efektif dalam pembelajaran matematika siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Rantepao. Hasil uji hipotesis pada taraf siginifikan   dengan uji-t juga menunjukan bahwa model kooperatif tipe talking stick dengan strategi mind mapping efektif dalam pembelajaran matematika siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Rantepao. Kata kunci: Efektivitas pembelajaran, talking stick, mind mapping.

Abstract

High-level thinking skills based on a revised Bloom's taxonomy is an ability that involves the analysis, evaluation, and create the dikombainkan with dimensions of factual knowledge, conceptual and procedural. This research is the development (Research and Development), which aims to generate test Systems of Linear Equations Two Variables based on a revised taxonomy Bloom qualified to measure high-level thinking skills class VIII SMPN Sungguminasa Gowa. The subjects were the students of class VIII SMPN 4 Sungguminasa Gowa 117 people composed of 80 women and 37 men. Procedure development of instruments that are used to adopt the design development of formative research by Tesmer comprising the step of preliminary, namely the determination of the place and the subject of research, the stage of self-evaluation that is, identifying the learning material of mathematics, knowing the number of students and the information that the students have not got and do the problems higher level thinking and preparation of design problems of high-level description of thinking and formative stages of evaluation (expert review, evaluation of one to one, small group evaluation, and field test). The results showed that the test instrument system of linear equations of two variables based on Bloom's taxonomy developed revisions of quality in this case are valid, reliable, and has the potential effect of high-level thinking skills test that can be completed by students according to the level of mathematical ability. High-ability students can take the test high capability to the level of creation, capable students were able to take the test high caliber to the level evaluate, and low-ability students are only able to work on high-ability test at level analyzes
