Abstract

This study aims at investigating the influence of price, promotion, and service quality on the societies’ interest to register their children in the Vocational High School in South Tangerang. This study employed the explanatory research method by involving 96 respondents. Data were analyzed using statistical analysis methods including regression test, correlation test, determination test, and hypothesis test. The findings showed that price significantly influences the communities’ interest (32,4%) and the hypothesis test got the significance level at 0.000 < 0.05. Promotion is significantly influential at 36.9% and the hypothesis test showed a score of 0.000 < 0.05. The quality of the service is simultaneously significantly influential on the interest in Vocational High School at 30.2 % and the hypothesis test shows the significance score of 0,000 < 0,05. This indicates that price, promotion, and service quality can trigger societies’ interest to register their children into the Vocational High School. Thus, these three components can be solutions to increase the number of students in Vocational High Schools.

Abstract

This research purposes to prove whether a school not standard in the learning process or having unique resources is able to compete with general schools, which are in accordance with national standard of education in Indonesia. The results of this study showed that dynamic capabilities had a positive effect on core competencies in the agroforestry-based school. Dynamic capabilities did not affect competitive advantage in the agroforestry-based school. Core competencies had a positive effect on competitive advantage in the agroforestry-based school. Core competencies mediated the effect of dynamic capabilities on competitive advantage in the agroforestry-based school. Thus, resource capabilities should be able to form core competencies in educational institutions in order to be able to create competitive advantage for graduates of this school.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were (1) to describe the gross motor skills of children before and after being trained with rhythmic gymnastics, and (2) to identify the effect of rhythmic gymnastics on children’s gross motor skills. Approaches applied in this study were pre-experimental with one-group pretest - post-test design. The study involved 15 children from the B group of Pertiwi Kindergarten selected through a purposive sampling technique. The data were collected using a questionnaire, observation, and documentation. The research was carried out through some stages including planning, pretest, treatment, post - test, and data analysis.  Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. This study found that (1) children’s gross motor skills before trained with rhythmic gymnastics were in the categories of “not developed” and “starts to develop” and after the treatment, there was an increase on children’s gross motor skills thus the status shifted to the category of “developed as expected” and “developed very well” in performing locomotor, non-locomotor, balance, and flexibility movements like children could walk forward while both hands were on their waist, jump in place while swinging both arms, balancing the body by lifting one of the legs, and swing the arms back and forth alternately; (2) rhythmic gymnastics have effects on children’s gross motor skills, simultaneously treating children with rhythmic gymnastics with various interesting movements so that they become interested to follow them thus it is effective to be a media to form children’s gross motor skills simultaneously.

Abstract

This study investigated the effectiveness of implementation of distributed practice learning model by audio visual media to improve the results of learning basic techniques of badminton through. This research was a experimental methods one group Pretest-posttest design. The research object is students a 4th semester in grade 2018, amounting to 40 people obtained through purposive sampling techniques. Samples were given treatment for 8 times the meeting, in a week 3 times meeting.  Data collection techniques of badminton skills test in the form of Wall Volley test, short service, long service and clear test. Data analysis techniques using T-test.  The results of this study were a significant effects on the implementation of the distributed practice learning model using audio visual media to improve the basic technical skills of badminton students.  The audio-visual media in the application of distributed practice learning models is very effective in improving the learning outcomes of badminton basic engineering skills.  Besides being able to facilitate students in understanding the movements learned, also facilitate teachers in delivering learning materials taught at the time, because students can evaluate the movement directly to be perfect through video observation.
