Abstract

The territory of Indonesia is a country that has the fourth longest coastline in the world. This vast sea should be able to produce salt abundantly. This natural resource has not been processed optimally so that until now salt has become an imported commodity. This problem has not been able to find the right solution so that Indonesia does not need to import salt. Man's role is a very decisive thing in every production activity that he does. This research will explain salt productivity in terms of human resources. This research method is quantitative research, data analysis using multiple regression analysis. Age and skill have a positive and significant effect on the productivity of salt farmers. Experience has a negative and significant effect on the productivity of salt farmers. Age is related to the energy possessed to work on salt fields, to be able to increase salt production it takes strong energy and physical strength. Skills are needed in making technical steps about environmental situations and weather changes that occur. so with a strong physique and good skills it is expected that salt productivity will increase.

Abstract

This study aims to see the impact of the corruption index which is suspected to be a barrier to Indonesia's rubber exports (HS-4001) to 30 major importing countries during the period 2010 - 2019. The type of data in this study is secondary data in the form of panel data with an estimated fixed effect model (FEM). to see the effect of the independent variables CPIS, ECONS, POPS and FDI on the dependent variable Indonesian rubber exports (HS-4001). The estimation results in this study indicate that the corruption index has no effect on fluctuations in Indonesia's rubber exports (HS-4001) which is caused by the long expiration of rubber products (HS-4001), while the variables of economies of scale and population of scale have a positive effect with different percentages. (2.7% and 49.14%) to Indonesia's rubber exports (HS-4001), for the FDI variable itself has a negative effect on Indonesia's rubber exports (HS-4001) with a percentage of -0.4%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of non-cash payments on theperformance of the primary sector in Indonesia. The independent variables consistof ATM/Debit cards, credit cards, e-money, check payments, and RTGS payments. The dependent variable of the primary sector is divided into two, namely agricultural GDP and mining GDP. The data used is a secondary data type with time series, observation period 2010.q1-2019.q4. The analytical method of this study uses the Error Correction Model (ECM) estimation to determine the effect of non-cash payments in the short and long term. The short-term estimation results in the miningsector only have a significant influence on the RTGS variable, while in the long termit is influenced by credit cards, e-money, and RTGS. The results of the short-termestimation of the agricultural sector have a significant effect on credit cards, checks, and RTGS, while in the long term only checks are significant

Abstract

The intense global competition requires the industrial sector to produce efficiently. Industrial efficiency is determined not only by internal factors but also by external factors. This study aims to measure industrial efficiency in regencies and cities in East Java Province and to determine the determining variables of industrial efficiency so that it can be used as material for government policy in the development of the industrial sector. The data used is secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency. Meanwhile, the analysis tools used are efficiency analysis and multiple regression analysis with panel data. The results showed that in general the industrial sector in districts and cities in East Java was not efficient. Meanwhile, the external variables that affect the efficiency of the industrial sector are the inflation variable and the district/city minimum wage. Regional governments are expected to be able to control inflation in their regions and be able to determine district/city minimum wages that can benefit both the industrialsector and workers.

Abstract

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as a facilitator of information between the government and the public by increasing network access and broadband services. Digital technology in ASEAN is worth up to US$625 billion by 2030 (8 percent of ASEAN's annual GDP), which can be derived from increased efficiency, new products and services, etc. According to the World Bank (2015), the use of digital technology contributes to economic growth. This study aims to analyze the effect of Individual Internet Users Percentage, Mobile Cellular Subscriptions (Per 100 Persons), Fixed Broadband Subscriptions (Per 100 Persons), Government Expenditures and Labor on GDP Per Capita in six ASEAN Countries in 2011-2019. The type of data used in this research is secondary data from the World Bank which is processed by panel data regression method. The results show that simultaneously the input of the Neo-Classical growth theory is capital through telecommunications infrastructure which consists of the Percentage of Individual Internet Users, Mobile Cellular Subscriptions (Per 100 people), Fixed Broadband Subscriptions (Per 100 People), Government Expenditures and Labor have an effect significantly to economic growth in the six ASEAN countries. While partially all exogenous variables also show a significant effect on the endogenous variables of economic growth with varying values. Telecommunication infrastructure based on the indicators of Individual Internet User Percentage, Fixed Broadband Subscriptions (Per 100 Persons), Government Expenditures has a positive significance on economic growth. Surprising results on telecommunications infrastructure with indicators Mobile Cellular Subscriptions (Per 100 people) is a significant negative effect on economic growth. Labor shows that there is no effect but positive significance on economic growth.

Abstract

In the development of shipping, the national frequency has increased quite significantly. However, the rate of ship accidents and incidents that occur in Indonesian waters has also increased. Developing countries including Indonesia have not succeeded in reducing the number of sea transportation accidents . This study aims to analyze the readiness of the fulfillment of navigation tools on motor sailing vessels to the safety of shipping on Indonesian-flagged vessels and describe how much influence the readiness of the fulfillment of navigation tools on motor sailing vessels has on the safety of shipping on Indonesian-flagged vessels. Quantitative research method using a survey approach. The analysis technique used is regression analysis and correlation analysis. The results showed that there was an influence of readiness to fulfill navigational equipment on motor sailing vessels affecting shipping safety on Indonesian-flagged ships (p value 0.000 0.05) and 53.2% of the effect, while 46.8 % was determined by other variables outside of this study. There is a need for further research on the influence of other factors from motor sailing vessels on shipping safety on Indonesian-flagged vessels.

Abstract

Facing globalization and industrial revolution 4.0 requires companies to continue innovation to maintain their existences. Innovation can be carried out well if the company can absorb and apply the latest technology to increase the efficiency of its business. Firms that are unable to adapt to technology will not be able to compete with their counterparts. Therefore, this research was conducted to see the effect of technology, the firm's characteristics (size and location), and productivity (productivity and company profit) on the firm's survival. Using logistic regression, this study shows that technology, the firm's size, and productivity have a significant positive effect on the firm's survival. The location has a significant negative impact on the firm's survival, and profit does not significantly affect the firm's survival. The Hosmer and Lemeshow Test show that the model used in this study is fit for estimating all variables.
