Abstract

To develop agro-industrial areas is very important to determined right commodity.  We need a basis data to selection right commodity. It was required a decision support system based on several criteria. The objective of this research is to build software to help decision making of suitable commodity for regional agro-industry. The software was built using a computer programming language based on Weighted Product (WP). It was used to assess each alternative to each criterion. Based on Black box and Acceptance testing performance category, the software met the expected functionality of the system and running well

Abstract

Cassava is one of important sources of carbohydrate and potential to developed as an alternative food diversification. Morfological and nutritional value characterization of cassava’s tuber including β-caroten, protein, Fe and Zn, has been conducted on seven genotypes of cassava. The seven genotypes tested were Adira 1, Adira 4, FEC 25, Mentega 1, Mentega 2, Ubi Kuning and Roti. Tuber of characteristic of seven genotypes showed variation in term of colors of the outer skin, inner tuber’s skin and  flesh, root shapes, average tuber weight per plant, length and diameter of the tuber. There was a positive correlation between diamater and weight tuber per plant.  Nutritonal content  of seven cassava genotypes tested were varied  with  value ranges   0,011-0,026 ppm, 1,19-2,6%, 34,46-133,07 ppm and  6,63-18,95 ppm for β-caroten, protein, Fe and Zn respectively.  The tuber with higer β-caroten content  up to 0,011 ppm possessed yellow flesh color. Based on nutritional value  data it was found   that Mentega 2   containing highest β-caroten, protein, Fe, and Zn.than the others genotypes

Abstract

The research objective is to analyze the influence of factors of production and farm income on rice and corn crops. The study was conducted in the District Semangga, Merauke Regency, Papua Province. The reaserch method used is descriptive analitycal method, with 47 respondentsin the sample taken at random sample. Data were analyzed with analysis of farm and cron crops Cobb-Duglas Function. Based on the research results can be concluded that the factors of production that significantly affect the production of rice seed production is a factor of 68,2%, and fertilizer production factor of 34,6%. While the factors of production that do not significantly affect the production factor labor by factor of 13,4% and pesticides production by 0,4%. On farm corn production factors that significantly affect seed production is a factor of 84,7%, and pesticides factor of 15,2%. While the fertilizer factor of 11,6% and employment by 5,8% did not significantly affect the production of corn farming. Revenues for the farming of corn is greater than the income rice farming. Corn farmers who are farming income is Rp. 25.847.097.40 and rice farming is Rp. 6.449.494.40. when farmers are seeking the two together in a single family income of Rp. 32.296.591.80 during the planting period.

Abstract

Increased imports of oil and world oil prices expected to encourage the use of biodiesel as an alternative source of solar energy and fuel. Bio-diesel is one option to be used as an oil substitute energy sources. Bio-diesel can be made from biological sources or biomass, such as jatropha. Problems encountered in the development of distance is the lack of understanding of plant cultivation for farmers, especially in terms of pruning the plants. Pruning aims to establish a framework of generative growth of vegetative growth towards a more productive so that the amount of fruit obtained per plant more and more productive. The experiment was conducted at Gowa regency Parangloe which lasted from Marth until June 2009. The results showed that the treatment plant pruning distance effect on the number of branches, number of panicle, number of fruits per panicle, number of fruit per plant, number of fruit per plot, number of ripe fruit, seed number per fruit, weight of 100 grains of jatropha, dry weight and specific leaf area. Trimming by leaving 35 cm distance of the plant canopy growth and production yield a better distance than the pruning that leaves 25 cm and 15 cm distance of the plant canopy. Trimming by leaving 35 cm of the plant canopy distance produces the highest number of fruit harvested at 52 992 grams per plant. Correlation analysis showed a positive correlation between growth, production and plant physiology aspects of the distance.

Abstract

Objective of the experiment to evaluate wheat growth of some plant density and the proportionof inorganic nitrogen and compost nitrogen.The research was conducted in the Sirapu Village, Semangga District, Merauke Regency using Randomized Complete Block Design with 3 blocks as replication. The first factor was plant density of three level, i.e., 25 cm x 10 cm, 25 cm x 15 cm, 25 cm x 20 cm.The second factor was proportion of inorganic nitrogen and compost nitrogen consists of six levels, i.e., compost 0% + urea 0%, 0% compost + 100% urea, 25% compost +75% urea, 50% compost + 50% urea, 75% compost + 25% urea, 100%compost + 0%.The experiment results showed that there was interaction between plant density and the proportion of inorganic nitrogen and compost nitrogen for plant dry weigh and crop growth rate parameters.Plant density in 25 cm x 15 cm and proportion of inorganic nitrogen and compost nitrogen in 25% compost +75% urea showed the best effect in plant dry weight and crop growth rate at 42 to 63 DAP.

This research done on which tribe Marind-anim in farming is generally carried out by women.The majority of the tribe marind anim having high body above 165 cmThe research was done starting from august 15 2012 until 12 may 2013.Pulse sample measured to see the level of employment sample.The purpose of this research to identify the body of woman resilience tribe marind-anim in the process of land management by using traditional agricultural tools in the form of a hoe that is in working in posisis often bent.

Abstract

Waste with high level of salinity is usually difficult for microorganism to degrade because the high level of salinity concentration in the environment can hamper microorganism to reduce organic materials. This research was aimed at studying degradation process of organic materials in anaerobic condition with high level of salinity concentration. The main research was conducted with three operation conditions with inoculum as much as 15% out of total sample volume in which a number treatments in terms of adding salt fiom 0 mg/kg, 32 mg/kg and 52 mg/kg. This research was used some synthetic liquid waste (molases) with inoculum came fiom salt made location. The initial COD content in molases which has been made into liquid is averagely out of two test was 400000 mg/l. The COD content required for this research was 4000 mg/l.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to know the chemical composition especially the crude fiberof Centrocema pubescensand Calopogonium mucunoides that grow in Wasur area as ruminant feed. The research was conducted in Wasur Village, Merauke regency and the proximate analysis was conducted in the Biologi Hewan laboratory of PAU Bogor Agricultural University.Sample used in this research werefeeding grass of leguminose which grow around Wasur area. The results showed that the crude fiber content inC. pubescensand C. mucunoides was 17,59 and 19,36%, respectively.

Abstract

Long Storage is one of place of water supplies to provides water for the societies needs, the same as long storage at Mimi Baru village in Jagebob District. That long storage was built to fulfill the societies water need especially for agriculture`s irrigation needs. But infact the usenes of water in long storage is not optimal yet. Survey of the long storage`s water profiency in Mimi Baru Village Jagebob District purposed that the water in this long storage can be used maximalize by the societies there, especially farming needs. The methodology used by the writer in this research is literature study and  also field study where the writer colleted datas related with the tittle of the writing and than making an analysis how to get the profit water which can be used for the  agriculture`s irrigation. Based on the counted of long storage volum that the total capacity of water is 74.100 m3 with the maximal capacity is 180.975 m3. This capacity in enough or qualified for agriculture’s irrigation with the total width 27,22 hectares, because the water needs for irrigation technicaly is 0,102 lt/second or 8.797,594 ltr/days. While, based on the laboratory tested which was done by the PU Instance of Papua Province was recomendated that the water  in this long storge is save to be ued for agriculture`s irrigation, because the chemist unsures in that are stil in save level for agriculture and harmless for the plants.

Abstract

Experimental planting of mustard (Brassica juncea L) asing seed color as the treatment, carried out on clay soil in the village Asano, Abepura district in June to August 2006. The results showed that the color of the seed treatment was statistically not give different results on observations of plant heigltt, Ieaf number, flowering, Ieaf number a harvest, fresh weight and & dry weight of plant cultivation; but based on observation data seen a tendency to produce brown seeds growth and better production
