Abstract

This study was conducted to find out how financial literacy and fintech lending services affect the financial management behavior of Muslim communities. This research uses a quantitative approach and surveys 272 respondents through electronic media. This research method uses the Structural Equation Model—Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) equation by taking a case study of Muslim communities in Indonesia. The results show that financial literacy, ease of fintech lending services, and trust in fintech lending services have a positive and significant effect on Muslim communities' financial management behavior. Meanwhile, the benefits of fintech lending services do not have a significant influence on the financial management behavior of Muslim communities. However, information is crucial in determining and making decisions. In the context of fintech lending services, speed and convenience play an essential role in shaping a person's financial behavior. Furthermore, the policy and legality of fintech lending are critical in improving public trust in the use of these services. Increased public trust in fintech lending services will have an impact on people's financial habits.

Abstract

Parents have increasingly limited control over their children's spending and consumption choices. Therefore, each individual needs to hone good money management skills in order to make wise financial decisions. Often they spend carelessly and irrationally when they do not have good money management, resulting in poor money management. The purpose of this study was to determine how heuristics and mental accounting can be used in personal financial management. This study was conducted primarily on students who have not worked at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Tanjungpura University, Pontianak. A systematic literature review approach was used in this investigation. The findings show that most of the study respondents are still in the process of learning to use mental accounting, and the use of heuristics by students from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Tanjungpura University in Pontianak is still lacking. Three main factors contribute to mental accounting and poor implementation of heuristics: low motivation, limited experience, and lack of information. Even though the sorting of the post has been completed, for students who have used mental accounting. However, this is impossible to achieve in practice because the respondents' financial decision making (heuristics) usually uses them to consume rather than save or invest.

Abstract

Cryptocurrency instruments show an increase in the number of investors in Indonesia, the increase in cryptocurrency investors is even bigger than the number of stock investors in the Indonesian capital market, even though stock investors also increase. The increase in stock and cryptocurrency investors is an indication that the investment climate in Indonesia is starting to improve, this must be accompanied by increased financial literacy regarding the returns and risks of an investment instrument, this research is important considering that understanding the returns and risks of an investment instrument is crucial in the decision making. The test in this study uses a descriptive statistics and independent sample t-test, if the sample does not meet the requirements of the parametric statistical test, it will use the nonparametric statistical test Mann Whitney Test, which aims to determine whether there is a difference in return and risk of cryptocurrencies and sharia stock prices for the period January 2015 to October 2021. This study finds that there are significant differences in the returns and risk of cryptocurrencies and Sharia Stocks. Based on descriptive statistics, the standard deviation of cryptocurrency returns is greater than the standard deviation of Sharia stocks, indicating that cryptocurrency risks are higher than Sharia Stocks.

Abstract

FinTech is a trendy topic that has increased rapidly in Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries, where Muslim consumers desire to use banking services in a Sharia conforming way. Thus, the research seeks to examine the effect of FinTech applied by Islamic banks of OIC countries on consumer retention.  The Islamic banking system in OIC nations has mainly been in the foreground in carrying FinTech to its operations at the initial phase. Although consumers typically do not select Islamic banks for technologies, the study tries to investigate the effect of FinTech in maintaining consumers. Data collection uses the strata sampling method; online questionnaires are spread and collected from 317 customers of chosen banks in OIC countries. SPSS 25.0 analyzes statistical data via numerous examinations such as regression analysis, factor analysis, sample adequacy, and reliability analysis. The results show that compliance, consulting services, and payments of FinTech affect consumer retention. However, financing services considered vital in conventional banks do not significantly influence consumer retention. The research tries to help Islamic banks satisfy their consumers by using FinTech applications and helping FinTech firms enhance their finance amenities.
