Abstract

The transition toward digital transformation in higher education institutions is imperative for enhancing efficiency, transparency, and sustainability. This study evaluates the digital transformation readiness of administrative personnel at the University of Papua, focusing on organizational readiness factors: resource availability, cultural adaptability, and ICT infrastructure. The moderating role of technology anxiety, alongside demographic factors such as age and gender, was also analyzed to understand their influence on the institution's preparedness for digitalization. Findings reveal significant associations between readiness components and the ability to effectively adopt digital technologies, while technology anxiety was found to moderate these relationships. The study underscores the critical need for addressing environmental concerns, including paper waste, by implementing sustainable digital practices. Through robust statistical methods and an organizational readiness framework, this research provides actionable insights for institutions aiming to navigate the complexities of digital transformation successfully.

Abstract

The digital transformation of rural governance is critical to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and fostering community self-reliance. This study develops a comprehensive Enterprise Architecture (EA) framework tailored for smart rural communities using the TOGAF 9.2 methodology. The framework integrates business, data, application, and technology architectures to address inefficiencies, enhance transparency, and optimize governance processes in rural Indonesia. The research adopts the Design Science Research Methodology (DSRM) to ensure systematic artifact development and alignment with strategic goals. Key outcomes include improved administrative services, asset management, and community engagement, demonstrated through case studies involving systems such as SIMIDES, SISMANDES, and OpenSID. The proposed EA framework directly contributes to enhancing Village Development Index (IDM) scores, supporting SDGs like poverty alleviation, quality education, and reduced regional disparities. While the framework presents a scalable model for rural governance, challenges such as IT infrastructure limitations and stakeholder readiness remain. Future research should explore the integration of emerging technologies like IoT and AI to further enhance the model’s adaptability.

Abstract

This study explores the development of a blockchain-based e-certificate system designed for secure and transparent credential management at the Muhammadiyah University of Gresik. Leveraging private blockchain technology, the system addresses the challenges of certificate forgery and unauthorized alterations by ensuring data immutability and integrity. Through the implementation of a distributed ledger, the platform facilitates seamless issuance, verification, and storage of e-certificates. The methodology encompasses system design using the waterfall model, including stages of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, integration, and testing. Smart contracts are utilized to automate certificate verification processes, enhancing efficiency and reliability. The research findings demonstrate that the blockchain-based system not only secures the certification process but also streamlines operations by eliminating intermediaries. This innovative approach holds promise for broader applications in academic institutions and beyond, offering a scalable solution for secure document management. Future studies may expand its applicability across diverse industries.

Abstract

This study evaluates land suitability in Nabire Regency, Indonesia, employing geographic information systems (GIS) and spatial analysis to enhance community quality of life. Rapid urbanization and increasing land use pressures have resulted in significant environmental challenges, including deforestation, loss of agricultural land, and reduced access to green spaces. By integrating criteria such as land cover, soil quality, water availability, and socio-economic data, the research identifies optimal locations for housing, agriculture, and conservation areas. Results demonstrate disparities in infrastructure and living standards, emphasizing the need for balanced spatial planning. The proposed land suitability map offers actionable insights for policymakers to foster sustainable development, improve resource allocation, and enhance urban and rural livability. This work underscores the critical role of GIS-based spatial analysis in addressing urbanization challenges and guiding equitable development strategies.

Abstract

This study evaluates the performance of Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Naïve Bayes Classifier (NBC) algorithms in analyzing user sentiments regarding the popular online game Genshin Impact. The dataset comprises reviews sourced from the Google Play Store and App Store in both Indonesian and English, reflecting linguistic diversity. Preprocessing techniques such as tokenization, stemming, and Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) were employed to enhance data quality. Sentiments were classified as positive, neutral, or negative using TextBlob-assisted processes. Results demonstrate that NBC outperformed SVM across all metrics, with an average accuracy of 71% compared to 63%. Notably, sentiment analysis on English datasets consistently achieved higher accuracy than on Indonesian datasets, emphasizing the challenges posed by the linguistic complexity of Indonesian. This research underscores the critical role of language-specific adaptations in improving machine learning algorithms for multilingual sentiment analysis. The findings provide actionable insights for optimizing user engagement through enhanced game feedback mechanisms.

Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into software development has significantly reshaped the programming profession. This study investigates the dual impact of AI—particularly Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT and Codex—on programming jobs, examining both the potential threats and emerging opportunities. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, 18 peer-reviewed articles published within the last five years were analyzed. The findings reveal that while AI automates routine tasks such as code generation, debugging, and testing—raising concerns about the reduction of entry-level roles—it simultaneously enables programmers to assume more strategic functions in AI integration, system design, and ethical governance. Additionally, AI fosters inclusive programming environments by empowering non-experts through accessible development tools. The study emphasizes the need for continuous skill enhancement, human–AI collaboration, and policy support to ensure sustainable adaptation. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of AI's transformative influence on programming and proposes strategies for thriving in an AI-augmented digital workforce.

Abstract

The digital transformation in higher education necessitates a reliable academic advising information system to enhance student support and academic decision-making. This study presents the design of an Academic Advising Information System using a Human-Centered Design (HCD) approach to address various challenges in academic advising, including ineffective communication, fragmented platforms, and inefficient documentation. By applying HCD principles, the system prioritizes usability, accessibility, and emotional considerations, ensuring an intuitive and supportive user experience for both students and academic advisors. This study follows an iterative development framework, integrating user insights through observations, interviews, and iterative improvements to refine system features such as advising history tracking and streamlined communication channels. The results indicate that the application of HCD effectively optimizes advising interactions, reduces administrative burdens, and enhances student engagement. This study contributes to the broader discourse on user-centered educational technology, emphasizing the importance of aligning digital solutions with user expectations. Future research should explore the scalability and adaptability of this system across various academic institutions to validate its broader applicability.

Abstract

This study proposes a barcode-based medical asset management system designed to address persistent challenges in hospital asset tracking, integration, and condition monitoring. Using the Design Science Research (DSR) methodology, the system was developed and implemented in Bhayangkara Sartika Asih Hospital, Indonesia. Key features include centralized data entry, QR code generation for unique asset identification, advanced search filters, and a real-time dashboard for visualizing asset conditions and distribution. Black box and usability testing involving 10 users demonstrated a 100% success rate in functional execution and high user acceptance, with 87.5% of respondents expressing satisfaction with the system’s usability and effectiveness. This system enhances traceability, reduces redundancy, and supports data-driven decision-making in asset procurement and maintenance. The study also highlights the potential for broader adoption across Indonesian hospitals, with future integration of IoT components recommended to enable automated real-time asset condition updates. The proposed system contributes to the digital transformation of healthcare infrastructure in line with national health priorities.
