JUSIFO (Jurnal Sistem Informasi) is published twice a year; in June and December. In this journal, reviewers will review any submitted paper. Review process employs a double-blind review, which means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa. Abstract

This study evaluates land suitability in Nabire Regency, Indonesia, employing geographic information systems (GIS) and spatial analysis to enhance community quality of life. Rapid urbanization and increasing land use pressures have resulted in significant environmental challenges, including deforestation, loss of agricultural land, and reduced access to green spaces. By integrating criteria such as land cover, soil quality, water availability, and socio-economic data, the research identifies optimal locations for housing, agriculture, and conservation areas. Results demonstrate disparities in infrastructure and living standards, emphasizing the need for balanced spatial planning. The proposed land suitability map offers actionable insights for policymakers to foster sustainable development, improve resource allocation, and enhance urban and rural livability. This work underscores the critical role of GIS-based spatial analysis in addressing urbanization challenges and guiding equitable development strategies.

Abstract

This study evaluates the performance of Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Naïve Bayes Classifier (NBC) algorithms in analyzing user sentiments regarding the popular online game Genshin Impact. The dataset comprises reviews sourced from the Google Play Store and App Store in both Indonesian and English, reflecting linguistic diversity. Preprocessing techniques such as tokenization, stemming, and Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) were employed to enhance data quality. Sentiments were classified as positive, neutral, or negative using TextBlob-assisted processes. Results demonstrate that NBC outperformed SVM across all metrics, with an average accuracy of 71% compared to 63%. Notably, sentiment analysis on English datasets consistently achieved higher accuracy than on Indonesian datasets, emphasizing the challenges posed by the linguistic complexity of Indonesian. This research underscores the critical role of language-specific adaptations in improving machine learning algorithms for multilingual sentiment analysis. The findings provide actionable insights for optimizing user engagement through enhanced game feedback mechanisms.

Abstract

This study investigates the design and implementation of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system specifically developed to address the operational challenges faced by medium-sized enterprises in the digital printing sector, with Rio Digital Printing as a case study. The research identifies key issues such as communication gaps and the lack of real-time order tracking, which negatively impact customer satisfaction. Employing a prototyping methodology, the system was iteratively refined with active user participation, ensuring alignment with stakeholder requirements. Key features include real-time order tracking, automated notifications, and a comprehensive interactive dashboard to support data-driven decision-making. The results demonstrate that the CRM system significantly enhances operational transparency, improves customer engagement, and fosters loyalty. This study contributes to the academic discourse by addressing the underexplored application of CRM systems in small and medium-sized enterprises, presenting a scalable framework for adaptation in similar industries. The findings also provide practical implications, advocating for digital transformation as a strategy to improve competitiveness in dynamic market environments.

Abstract

The digital transformation in higher education necessitates a reliable academic advising information system to enhance student support and academic decision-making. This study presents the design of an Academic Advising Information System using a Human-Centered Design (HCD) approach to address various challenges in academic advising, including ineffective communication, fragmented platforms, and inefficient documentation. By applying HCD principles, the system prioritizes usability, accessibility, and emotional considerations, ensuring an intuitive and supportive user experience for both students and academic advisors. This study follows an iterative development framework, integrating user insights through observations, interviews, and iterative improvements to refine system features such as advising history tracking and streamlined communication channels. The results indicate that the application of HCD effectively optimizes advising interactions, reduces administrative burdens, and enhances student engagement. This study contributes to the broader discourse on user-centered educational technology, emphasizing the importance of aligning digital solutions with user expectations. Future research should explore the scalability and adaptability of this system across various academic institutions to validate its broader applicability.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the utilization of the Learning Management System (LMS) by students of Universitas Terbuka (UT). The primary focus of this research is to comprehend the usage of LMS in higher education, with the research locations divided into three geographical zones: West (UT-Jakarta, UT-Surabaya, UT-Serang, UT-Pekanbaru, UT-Palembang, UT-Aceh), Central (UT-Pontianak, UT-Samarinda, UT-Makassar, UT-Kendari), and East (UT-Majene, UT-Mataram, UT-Palu, UT-Ternate, UT-Jayapura). The focus of the research is to identify factors influencing students not to participate in online classes, particularly related to the suboptimal utilization of the Online Tutorial service. In this study, 400 respondents were surveyed, all of whom are UT students. Data analysis was conducted using the SmartPLS application, utilizing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The model involves both external variables and those within the TAM. The research findings indicate that the system quality significantly influences the use of LMS by students. Based on the gathered information, universities should enhance and regularly update features within the LMS to better support users efficiently.

Abstract

The medical record activity is supported by the creation of a daily outpatient census as one of the supporting factors. The daily outpatient census is a routine recording activity in each outpatient installation that records the quantity and relevant information about the served patients. Observational approach is used to identify issues arising in the patient recording process. This research focuses on the implementation of an electronic-based system design to record outpatient data using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 in a hospital in Bandung. The software development process is carried out using the waterfall approach. Interviews and data collection processes are conducted alternately in this study to obtain clear information. The results of this research indicate that the design of an electronic-based outpatient census system has been successfully developed. System maintenance is crucial to ensure smooth operational processes and minimize errors in recording outpatient census data.

Abstract

This study concentrates on examining the security of network infrastructure using the cyber kill chain framework approach. The research is conducted within a company operating in network security services. In its operations, it offers a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) containing various crucial information such as applications, internal data, client data, and product demos. Despite the attractive features of cloud computing, there are significant threats as well. Handling attacks cannot be swiftly and efficiently executed, resulting in temporary operational unavailability until the attacks are resolved. This research delves into the security of the company's infrastructure by testing several points of vulnerability exploited by malicious parties. The cyber kill chain framework approach is employed to systematically assess the company's infrastructure. The study reveals that certain issues have been adequately detected; however, security gaps persist, as evidenced by the testing conducted and the inadequate response from the company's security systems.

Abstract

This research aims to utilize computers as a tool for implementing information technology to enhance an individual's role as an information intermediary in tasks and processes, including the collection, transmission, processing, interpretation, storage, organization, and utilization of correspondence data to obtain high-quality information. The initial implementation of letter archive management involved manual recording of letters each day using a book, leading to insufficient detailed records of both incoming and outgoing letters, often resulting in difficulties in retrieving correspondence and impeding operational efficiency. The system development method employed is the waterfall method, characterized by the requirement to complete each step before advancing to the next, ensuring a systematic approach. The stages include software requirement analysis, design, coding, testing, and maintenance. This study addresses the challenges associated with manual recording of correspondence data using books, overcoming issues of inaccuracy and lack of precision in recording both incoming and outgoing letters through the implementation of an archive management application. With the integration of this application, the letter data processing becomes more accurate, detailed, efficient, and prompt, especially with the structured storage of data in a database.

Abstract

Sistem Informasi Akademik (SIAKAD) of Poltekkes Palembang is designed to facilitate the management of academic activities and the dissemination of information to users, including lecturers and students, in a structured and integrated manner. This research aims to measure the usage of SIAKAD at Poltekkes Palembang through usability testing. Additionally, the research also identifies shortcomings in the layout of SIAKAD, such as the presence of invalid or outdated information. The test results indicate that the majority of users are able to operate SIAKAD effectively. Furthermore, the measurement results show that the learnability, efficiency, memorability, errors, and satisfaction of SIAKAD overall reach a good level. Thus, SIAKAD plays a significant role in supporting academic activities at Poltekkes Palembang. Nevertheless, there is still room for improvement in the usage of SIAKAD. With a deeper understanding of the aspects that need to be addressed in SIAKAD, institutions can take appropriate actions to enhance user experience.

Abstract

Threads, a new application released by Meta in mid-2023, has sparked discussions across various social media platforms. This application has been widely compared to Twitter. This research aims to analyze the sentiment of Indonesian society regarding the emergence of Threads on social media. Various opinions were collected from Twitter posts and analyzed using the Naïve Bayes algorithm in RapidMiner to classify each public response. The results show that 28.8% of respondents view the introduction of Threads positively, while 71.2% express negative sentiment. Therefore, Threads should improve its application by adding additional features to gain broader acceptance among users. Although this research has not validated using other algorithms, it provides a general overview of the public's response to the newly emerging Threads application.
