Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know how to process information management special event conducted by organizers HUTTEL 62 ranging from research, design, planning, coordination, and evaluation in accordance with the concept special event belongs to Joe Goldblatt. Research methods a descriptive, qualitative data with the paradigm of positivism. The results of this study suggested that the management of the special event HUTTEL 62 categorized in five stages, namely research, design, planning, coordination, and evaluation. Research carried out in the form of informal research with secondary data searches ways be monitoring news coverage about SMA Negeri 3 Jakarta. Hasl research shows the overview of the situation of informing host HUTTEL 62 is the assumption that the community name of the example contained in the SMA Negeri 3 Jakarta not sesuaid with what happened at that school. The design of the color purple and blue created the Customize the theme carried HUTTEL 62 ‘ Return Teladanku ‘. Motion design elements and sounds indicated by performers in closing. 62 HUTTEL planning begins with setting goals to be achieved, namely restoring the image of ‘ exemplary ‘ to SMA Negeri 3 Jakarta Post acts of bullying incidents. Coordination is done by the Organizer HUTTEL 62 include coordination with internal and external parties the Committee involved in organizing HUTTEL 62. The communication is done by informal meetings and mandatory meetings and communications with online messenger. The evaluation was conducted to measure the achievement of HUTTEL 62, the evaluation is conducted in the Division and the Division of any series of events have been implemented and later serve as a report on liability. Hasl acquired evaluation of barriers in the internal Committee namely the barriers of communication and information in the internal Committee. A summary of this research menenujukan that special event management HUTTEL 62 made by SMA Negeri 3 Jakarta in conveying the message of anti bully hasn’t done effectively and optimally.

Abstract

Abstract. Activities cite literature is an integral part of the activities of writing scientific papers. In the writing of a work in scientific journals either in the form of research results or other study results quoting the opinions of other authors contained in the same journal or different journals but still in a clump of the same science often coloring a writing. In citation analysis activities a scientific journal is known to exist several terms such as a speed index that is a measure to find out how quickly a group of documents or articles from a journal is cited in the same year and an impact factor that is a measure for the influence of an article in a journal in a given period. This study aims to examine the index of velocity and impact factors of articles published in the electronic journals (OJS) socio-humanities of Padjadjaran University. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive method with research type of citation analysis. The period of the journal published human socio-humanities are jurnal period published 2012-2015 with the number of articles published 128 as many scientific articles. Based on the results of this study note that the index of the density and impact factors of the human socio journal of Universitas Padjadjaran is still low. This is apparent with the lack of articles published in the humanitarian socio journal of Padjadjaran University cited or dikutif by other authors in other imitation journals as well as scientific journals of the socio-humanities of UNPAD itself.

Abstract

Instructional design of hypnosis-based reading interest guidance is the development of guidance material of reading interest that previously has been created by Perpustakaan Nasional Indonesia (National Library of Indonesia) for the training of Calon Pustakawan Tenaga Ahli (CPTA) or Expert Librarian Candidate. The development of learning design that combines theory and practice is absolutely needed. Moreover, the result of class survey signifies that only 10% of CPTA training participants are interested in reading. This instructional design employs MINERVA model since it aims to result instructional system directing to the formation of CPTA employability skill. The skill in bibliotherapy for CPTA in a college to guide reading interest is required, especially to boost the motivation and learning capacity of civitas academica, specifically librarian who experience stress symptom due to final project. The skill in bibliotherapy requires provision in effective reading capacity and efficient reading comprehension. Through the learning of hypnosis-based reading interest guidance, firstly CPTA participants can reflect the level of reading awareness, secondly be the support of bibliotherapy program in college library, and thirdly boost mental awareness. Librarian is not only limited to administrative service, but also it has role as vanguard in mental literacy service through bibliotherapy.

Abstract

Abstract. Information Literacy (IL) Program is a library program that aims to improve the ability of library users to recognize when information is needed and have the ability to locate, evaluate, and use effectively the needed information. Information literacy learning is essential to be taught and applied in education from the beginning of the school so that students are able to find and organize information effectively and efficiently particularly regard to the school assignment and learning process. At present, various educational institutions began to implement online learning model to improve the quality of teaching and research quality. Due to the advancement of information technology, the information literacy program should be adjusted with the needs of library users. The purpose of this study was to design web-based information literacy model for school library. This research conducted through several stages which are: identifying the needs of web-based IL, designing web-based IL, determining the model and the contents of a web-based IL tutorial, and creating a prototype webbased IL. The results showed that 90,74% of respondents stated the need of web-based learning IL. The prototype of web-based learning IL is consisted of six main units using combination of the Big6 Skills model and 7 Concept of Information Literacy by Shapiro and Hughes. The main fiveth units are Library Skill, Resource Skill, Research Skill, Reading Skill, and Presenting Literacy. This prototype web-based information literacy is expected to support the information literacy learning in a holistic approach.

Abstract

Library of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) has a quality policy commitment to continuous improvement in every area and process. It can be achieved by continuously optimizing organizational learning. Web 2.0 is a media application that can help the organizational learning process because it has the characteristics of read and write, as well as having the flexibility of time use, but the application must be in accordance with the culture and character of the organization. Therefore, this study aimed to find out the Web 2.0 application that can be applied to the organizational learning in the Library of UPI. The method used is a mixed method qualitative and quantitative approach. Research stage refers to the stage of planning and support phases of Web 2.0 Tools Implementation Model. The results showed that the application of Web 2.0 can be applied to the organizational learning in the Library UPI. It refers to the tendency of organizational culture Library of UPI that is good and tendency of HR Library UPI attitude against the use of the Internet and computers are very good. Web 2.0 applications that can be used by UPI library are blogs, online forums, and wiki as a primary tools. Facebook, Youtube, chat application, twitter and Instagram as a supporting tools.

Abstract

Abstract. This research identifies the information seeking behavior of women who reside in the slum area of Kampung Poncol, Jakarta, Indonesia in the fulfillment of the triple role; those are reproductive, productive, and social. A qualitative approach with phenomenology method is used in this research while the data are collected by non-participant observation and in-depth interview with six participants. The results of this research show that the steps of information seeking behavior of those women are the initiation, selection, formulation, collection, and presentation; while the exploration step does not appear at all. Based on the role of reproduction needed by the informants in relation to their role as housewives, the information needed by the women are about the price of basic commodities, family healthcare and well-being, children education, as well as information about the flood. On the productive role, the information needed are vary among the informants depends on their occupations. While for the social role, the information needed by the informants are related to personal health, fashion, entertainment, and politics. The primary source of information is informal source those are relatives and neighbors.

Abstract

Functional position is applied for librarians who work in the library of government agency or librarian of Civil State Apparatus. The implementation of functional position is the effort to assign and measure the performance of librarian through the assessment system of work implementation with credit numbers. Librarian as profession and functional position is demanded to have good performance in doing his/her task and function. Librarians perform professional performance in the field of library based on Permenpan Reformasi Birokrasi No. 9 tahun 2014 (Regulation of the Minister of the State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform Number 9 Year 2014). How is the perception of librarian in that regulation? Does this perception influence the implementation of performance standard in library? Both questions are studied by using descriptive quantitative method and the research sample is purposive sampling, which use 14 librarians in central library of Indonesia University of Education. Fifty percent of librarians agree, and 36 % of them very agree that the cluster, task, function, and stage of librarian functional position concretely provide explanation and comprehension in doing their performance. Fifty four percent of respondents significantly agree while 23% of them very agree that their comprehension in the standard of professional performance contributes to the implementation of performance, which includes quality, quantity, and teamwork.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of study was to determine user satisfaction toward credibility of staff library service at Library and Scientific Information Center at Economics and Business Faculty, University of Padjadjaran (FEB UNPAD). The research of library staff's credibility based on perceptions and expectations (minimum and maximum expectations). There are three components to measure in this study:(1)Trustworthiness, (2) Expertise, and (3) Fascination. The population in this study is determined based on the number of users who come to the P2I2 of FEB UNPAD. Sampling technique that used in this study is Purposive Sampling with 99 people as sample. Data was collected by questionnaire, conduct observation, and literature study. The results showed that overall users are coming to the P2I2 of FEB UNPAD were satisfied with the services. This user satisfaction based on the gap (gap) between the perceptions and expectations of service users indicates that the P2I2 of FEB UNPAD has good credibility and is in " zone of tolerance ", in other words the services provided by library's staff at Faculty of Economics and Business, Padjadjaran University, has meet the user's expectations.

Abstract

Abstract. This research is motivated by the development of information and communication technology (ICT) in the library world so rapidly that allows libraries in the present to develop its services into digital-based services. This study aims to find out the school community’s perception of library apps developed by Riche Cynthia Johan, Hana Silvana, and Holin Sulistyo and its influence on library empowerment at the library of SD Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung. Library apps in this research belong to the context of m-libraries, which is a library that meets the needs of its users by using mobile platforms such as smartphones,computers, and other mobile devices. Empowerment of library is the utilization of all aspects of the implementation of libraries to the best in order to achieve the expected goals. An analysis of the schoolcommunity’s perception of library apps using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) includes: ease of use, usefulness, usability, usage trends, and real-use conditions. While the empowerment of the library includes aspects: information empowerment, empowerment of learning resources, empowerment of human resources, empowerment of library facilities, and library promotion. The research method used in this research is descriptive method with quantitative approach. Population and sample in this research is school community at SD Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung. Determination of sample criteria by using disproportionate stratified random sampling with the number of samples of 83 respondents. Data analysis using simple linear regression to measure the influence of school community perception about library apps to library empowerment. The result of data analysis shows that there is influence between school community perception about library apps to library empowerment at library of SD Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung which is proved by library acceptance level and library empowerment improvement.
