This research aims to compile the programs for poverty alleviation by community empowerment model and review the determination program as effectiveness evaluation poverty alleviation program which still can’t be worked properly. Stages the compiling program of poverty alleviation is mapping the socioeconomic conditions of the poor, basic infrastructure conditions, socio-cultural issues, and potential issues; identifying the hopes and predicting the economic development opportunities; creating the poverty alleviation program by SWOT analysis and planning implementation program with KPD. Based on the result of SWOT and scoring analysis, the selected programs are training and assistance, the establishment of cooperative saving and loans, clean water for poor households, rural development with the utilization of clean water, household waste management, and package education program A, B, and C.

The development of informal sector in many cities in Indonesia, interests many scholars to analyse it. This research tries to describe and analyse the phenomena of under employment and gender discrimination in the informal sector at Surakarta. The research aims is to analyse the effects of education level, work experience and gender to productivity. The measurement of productivity uses level of income. This research tries to test the model proposed by Mincer (1974) and Jones (2001). The model contains of four variables, they are level of education, work experience and gender as the independent variable, while level of income is the dependent variable. To test our hypotheses we use double log econometric models.The setting of this research is micro retail entrepreneur or in Indonesia they called PKL. PKL, which become our respondents are those who locate in three PKL centre in Surakarta. Their location at around Monument 45, Manahan Stadium and Kotta Barat field. Our sampling method is purposive-sampling method and we interviewed 100 respondents to complete the data. The result shows that there are no positive correlation between level of education and gender to level of income. While work experience seems to have a positive effect to level of income. It concludes that there is a under employment phenomena in informal sector at Surakarta. While the hypotheses which said that there are gender discrimination is not supported.

The aimed of this research was (a) to study the backward linkage and forward linkage of foodstuff plants towards another economic sector in Pemalang Regency, (b) to study how value of material requistion and service from output of another economic sector used up for production process of foodstuff plants sector in Pemalang Regency and (c) to study how value of the usage of goods and services from output of foodstuff plants used up for production process by another economic sector in Pemalang Regency. The research method used descriptive method, by using the data of I-O Table Pemalang Regency, The analysis used linkage analysis and descriptive analysis. The linkage analysis divided into the backward linkage and forward linkage. Descriptive analysis were Asses Input Ratio and Asses Request Ratio. The data employed are table data of input-output Central Java of year 2000, Domestic Product Regional Bruto of Pemalang Regency of year 2003, Pemalang in Number of year 2003. Result of the research was (a) indicates that food stuff plants have low backward linkage by looking at Spreading Index. Thus, It was low enough in using output of another economic sector in production process, (b) The output of foodstuff plants sector is highly needed by another economic sector in Pemalang Regency. It can be known by forward linkage value of foodstuff plant measuring with a high Index of Sensitivity Degree value, (c) According to descriptive analysis result, foodstuff plants sector have the lowest Asses Input Ratio. It means that foodstuff plants needs the lowest Asses input from output of production process.(d) Based on the analysis result of Asses Request Ratio, foodstuff plants sector have low Asses Request Ratio. Means that it has output used for input between another economic sectors was smaller than output used as the last consumption. Mostly, another economic sector used by foodstuff plants were industry sector and foodstuff plants sector. The other economic sector that uses foodstuff plants was industry sector and restaurant sector.

In East Java Province, the government still provides subsidy to soybean production in the form of soft credit to production inputs. Since the government budget and subsidy have been limited, efficiency in production, marketing and trade become crucial issues. The conducted research will try to achieve some research objectives as follows: Analyzing soybean farmer income in the Blitar District at the different cropping system; Obtaining analysis on comparative advantage and competitive-ness of soybean by different cropping system; analyzing influences of social price changes to farmers income due to public investment; and analyzing government policy impact on farmers income due to market/actual price development. The research uses Policy Analysis Matrix to obtain competitiveness rate, efficiency and impact of government policy on soybean production under multi-cropping system and different ecological zones in the Blitar district.

Due to economic and political turbulencies in Indonesia people are becoming less aware in paying attention to their environment. Younger group might has a better awareness to the environment than the adults ones. This study aims to explore the behavior of younger people's awareness in Semarang City towards the environment.Four hundred and ten students and key-persons such as selected teachers and lecturers, headmasters, and other competent persons had have been interviewed. Descriptive statistics was employed to explain the behavior of respondents in environmental awareness.The study found that respondents in higher school have relatively better attitudes to their environments than respondents in university. It is suggested that we need to reform curriculum and teaching-and-learning processes in conducting formal education with sufficient color of environment. The role of parents and guardians are urgently important to attain the expected environment-awareness.

The issue of budget deficit financing strategy has been broad enough to gain attention in macroeconomic policy. This study is focused on Analysis of Budget Deficit Financing in Indonesia. How is the deficit financing management implemented such as what are the best sources and its contribution to the Indonesian economy. The study explains that the model used to estimate the impact indicators is capable to manage budget deficit financing, in which the variable domestic financing and external debt encourages the economic growth. Another research goal is to identify the amount of deficit financing sources and their effects on the economy. Under normal conditions in simulation 2. by increasing foreign financing about 15 percent, economic growth will increase about 1.40 percent, and inflation will fall about 0.11. In the crisis where the interest rate increased 15 percent and domestic financing increased with the same rate, economic growth will fall 0.08 and inflation 0.01 percent.

Sectors of the economy are vital to the economic growth of a region. A sector can be said to be high productivity levels and if the sector is able to absorb a large workforce and the use of human resources as efficiently as possible. Each area has advantages in certain sectors which could be a contributor to economic growth. This study was conducted to determine and explain the influence of the areas that have a particular advantage to economic growth. Measurements using the Location Quotient leading sectors, whereas the determinant analysis using panel data. This research is expected to know the areas that have the basic sector and determine its impact on economic growth in Central Java. An area is said to have a dominant sector if it has a score of more than 1 and is said not to have if less than 1. The sample used in this study are 15 city / county for the years from 2007 to 2011. The results of the analysis using the LQ shows that in 2007-2011 there were about eight areas that excel in the agricultural sector, 9 in the industrial and commercial sector.

This study aimed to analyze the efficiency of the banks which are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and empirically tests the bank effects on the stock returns of each bank. The sample of this study is all banks which are listed in the IDX during the period of 2009 to 2016. Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) used to measure the bank efficiency in each Decision making units (DMUs), which are obtained as the maximum ratio to know the efficiency level of stock performance by using DEA methods. From the total of 25 banks analyzed, acquired six banks which were always efficient in the period of 2009 to 2016. Moreover, to know the relation between the bank efficiency and the stock return, the regression testing is done by using fixed effect models. The result shows that the bank efficiency of Indonesian banks does not affect their stock return.

Local fiscal capacity plays a crucial role in the implementation of regional development. This study aims to examine the fiscal disparities among regions in Central Java province in 2007-2009 period. The research method used is the average difference test against various classes/groups of local fiscal variables, namely level of independence and the degree to fiscal dependency. From the results of the analysis, indicate a significant disparity between the city/county. For the analysis of disparities in fiscal independence, indicate a disparity of high and relatively constant. As for the analysis of disparities in fiscal dependence, indicate a relatively low disparities between city/county. These results imply that the city and district in Central Java province has continued in fiscal independence vary widely but tend to have nearly the same fiscal dependency. This condition will affect the low level of local government discretion in planning and execution of development in the region.

More child labors in Indonesia under the minimum age who work, that is 15 year-old will cause a new difficult problem not only for the child himself who works, but also for the country's future. This article is the result of a research on the economy social aspect and the child labors demography in the area of ex-residency of Surakarta. The locations of research are Sukoharjo, Karanganyar, Boyolali, Sragen, and Kodya Surakarta. The research population are the whole child labors who work in the formal and informal sector by using the method of snowball sampling and accidental sampling in taking the samples. The analysis used is description and regression analysis. The aspect analyzed is the income and working hours. Then the result of the multiple linear regression analysis can be mentioned that there is an influence of work status to the child labors' income. Those who work in the informal sector get higher income. The male child labors get higher income than that of the female child labors get. The child labors' income who study at school is higher than that of who do not.
