Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the differences of rate of return, risk and coefficient of variation on Islamic stock and non-Islamic stock in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) 2011-2013. This study was using quantitative approach with Mann-Whitney U test. The population in this study was Islamic stock and non-Islamic stock which listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) within the time period (2011-2013). Determination of the number of samples using probability sampling, where the sampling randomly taken from members of the population without considering the level, and 10 Islamic stock and 10 non-Islamic stock where being selected. Data that being used was secondary data. The data was collected from official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The results of this study showed that there was no significant differences of rate of return, risk and coefficient of variation on Islamic stock and non-Islamic stock.

Abstract

This research attempt to analyze the effect of variabel inflation, gold price and Hang Seng Index to the volatility of Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) in period of October 2011-October 2014.The subject is index of Jakarta Islamic Index in period of October 2011 until October 2014. Typed of data used are the secondary data. This research using quantitatif methods and the analytical methods is multiple linear regression with a significance level of 0.05.The result of this research indicate that the inflation, gold price and Hang Seng index partially provide an insignificant influence on the volatility of Jakarta Islamic Index. However the inflation, gold price and Hang Seng Index simultaneously provide a signification effect on the volatility of Jakarta Islamic Index. Based on the coefficient determination ( ܴଶ) of 0.236 or 23.6% shows that the volatility of Jakarta Islamic Index is influenced by inflation, gold price, and Hang Seng Index.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the decision making process of the customer of Muamalat Bank in choosing mortgage product. The process comprises problem recognition, information search, evaluation of alternatives, product choice, and the outcomes.A qualitative approach is applied in this research with the descriptive case study method. The collection of data uses purposive sampling to determine the key informant and uses snowballing sampling to determine the informants. The key informant in this research is an employee of Muamalat Bank. Meanwhile the infomants consist of four customers of Muamalat Bank. Two of them take murabahah contract and the rest takes musyarakah mutanaqisah contract. The collection of data is conducted through several steps including comprehensive exploration, focus exploration, and confirmation step. The data analysis in this research uses domain, taxonomic and componential analysis.The result of this research shows that both the murabahah and musyarakah mutanaqisah customers had already passed through five steps in decision making process comprises problem recognition, information search, evaluation of alternatives, product choice, and outcomes. The difference between two of them is revealed in the problem recognition and the product choice. The customer choose the mortgage contract based on some features.

Abstract

This research is to know the trend and the differences of financial performance between Bank Syariah Mandiri and Bank Muamalat in the periods of 2004-2013. This research used quantitative for the research method, purposive sampling for the sampling technique, Bank Syariah Mandiri and Bank Muamalat for the sample. This research conduct the trend analyzed,and conduct the comparative analyzed with independent sample t-test. This research used seven variables to evaluate the financial performance which was CAR, NPF, the fulfillment of PPAP, ROA, BOPO, cash ratio, and FDR.The trend analysis showed that Bank Syariah Mandiri has better progress on CAR, BOPO, cash ratio, and FDR, whereas Bank Muamalat has better progress on NPF, the fulfillment of PPAP and ROA. The comparative analysis showed that there are no differences on BOPO and cash ratio, whereas there are differences on CAR, NPF, the fulfillment of PPAP, ROA, and FDR.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the implementation of business ethics within the restaurant “Mie Akhirat”. This Research uses a qualitative approach entailing a descriptive case study of the object and a purposive sampling technique. The data used are collected through a semistructured interview. Analysis of data is carried out by using the descriptive analysis model. The result of this research is expected to reveal the business ethics implemented within the restaurant. This research hopes to benefit by exposing examples of islamic business ethics implemented by the restaurant. This research suggests that the implementation of islamic business ethics would be of great benefit for the whole of society including their economiccondition.

Abstract

The main purpose of these research is to get the information about recitations affection on the consumption behavior of Al-Ikhlas Rungkut Surabaya recitation community.This research use qualitative case study explanatory method. Data collection was done by interviewing, observating, and documentating on the Al-Ikhlas Rungkut Surabaya recitation community.The result obtained is recitation activity have an impact on consumption behavior undertaken by the majority of Al-Ikhlas Rungkut Surabaya recitation community with giving more attention to the appropriate Islamic consumption behavior, namely: 1) Halal and thayyib, 2) Not improvident and extravagant, and 3) balancing the consumption in the world and afterlife. Some members can be said to be improvident and extravagant because of their excessive consumption of goods and use the goods not according to their function, and eventually became redundant. It happens because they can not control their desire really well, although it does not harm them. Then, the behavior of consumption in order to fulfill the dharuriyyat, hajiyyat, and tahsiniyyat for the sake of religion, life, intelligence, descent, and propertys maintenance have also been able to reach and fulfilled in a good way even though it is not perfect.

Abstract

Islamic Banking in Indonesia are developing rapidly. it can be seen by the number of offices that increase from year to year. This development of islamic banking can make a competition between the islamic banking. Therefore, to face the tight competition, islamic banking needs the right strategic marketing that compatible with sharia principle. The strategic marketing consists of three components. They are segmenting, targeting, and positioning. This research aims to know how the application of strategic marketing in Bank Syariah Mandiri Branch Office of Jemur Handayani Surabaya.This research is using qulitative approach with case study strategy. The datacollecting method is using direct interview with Bank Syariah Mandiri Branch Office of Jemur Handayani’s office workers. The data analysis method is using descriptive qualitative approach.The result of this research shows that strategic marketing which is applied in Bank Syariah Mandiri Branch Office of Jemur Handayani are compatible with sharia principle. Market segments in Bank Syariah Mandiri Branch Office of Jemur Handayani are from lending and funding. For targeting, Bank Syariah Mandiri Branch Office of Jemur Handayani is using the full market coverage pattern. And the positioning is done by raising the quality of service.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know motivations which encourage moslementrepreneurs decide producing imitation product.This research used a qualitative approach with explanatory case study strategy which is able to answer the question arised. Data collecting process was done by interviewing moslem entrepereneurs in Tanggulangin. Analysis technique which used in this research is descriptive, because author tried to describe a symptoms, occurance, and events which happened nowadays. Author tried to capture events and occurance that happened and being a central of attention to be explained as it seen on the location.The result showed that there are many forms of motivation why moslem entrepreneurs decide to produce imitation products. Those motivations were classified and explained based on the Islamic motivation theory by Abdul Hamid Mursi. That motivation theory is physiological motivation, psychological or social motivation, and working and producing motivation.

Abstract

This research aims to know and analyze the moral values of the functional strategy in the Wong Solo restaurant of Gresik branch. The aspects of the moral values consist of responsibility, globalization, truth, good working and good services. The success standard of the moral values of the functional strategy can be seen from the achievement of the employment in doing the aspects above. The research is a qualitative approach with a case study strategy. Data collection is done by using interview and observation to the object of the research. An used analysis technique is descriptive-qualitative by narrating the result of the interview and observation to the object of research. The result of this research of Restaurant Wong Solo of Gresik Branch in developing the business has been able to do some moral values well. It can be seen from the responsibility of the employments. The success by doing the moral values can also be seen by good aspect. The company gives some facilities to the employments such as: financial, and healthy. In doing operational strategy, thecompany has operational standardization in the production process. All employments perform that standardization of the rule that is stated by the company.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether the implementation of the sale and purchase agreement online istishna applied by Mr. H. Fiter Kuntajaya there has been no good pleasure.The research method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive case study. The case study is a qualitative research trying to find meaning, to investigate the process and gain a deep insight and understanding of individual, group, or situation. Data collection was conducted by interviewing informants in this study is the owner of UD. KUNTAJAYA. In addition, interviews were also conducted with several other informants as a consumer as a process of triangulation.The result is the application of the sale and purchase agreement online istishna based in accordance with the rules of Islamic purchase made by H. Fiter Kuntajaya against consumers it did not affect the consumer to fully understand the applicable contract. However, the implementation of online trading Fiter H. Kuntajaya implement trading system in accordance with the rules of Islamic jurisprudence purchase turned out to fruition in the form of the pleasure of the consumers, so that consumers who had dealings with H. Fiter Kuntayaja feel comfortable, satisfied and loyalty arise in transaction.
