Abstract

In an effort to limit smoking activities among employees, the Office of Education and Culture (P&K) of Sukabumi City implements Regional Regulation No. 3 of 2014 concerning Smoke-Free Areas. This study aims to determine how the implementation of the Smoke-Free Area (KTR) policy is carried out in the Office of Education and Culture (P&K) of Sukabumi City and the obstacles faced by the Office in implementing the KTR policy. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method and employs the theory of Diana M. DiNitto with four dimensions: communication, resources, bureaucracy, and attitudes. Data for this study were obtained from interviews and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Smoke-Free Area (KTR) policy in the Office of Education and Culture (P&K) of Sukabumi City is still not optimal due to inadequate resources, unstructured bureaucracy, and attitudes that show some employees still smoke inside the office. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of the Smoke-Free Area policy cannot proceed effectively due to several inhibiting aspects, namely communication, resources, bureaucracy, and attitudes. The recommendations provided include the need for more intensive and continuous socialization and education regarding the KTR policy, the enforcement of strict laws with clear sanctions for violators, the provision of supporting facilities such as separate smoking areas, and effective supervision by forming a special monitoring team responsible for ensuring compliance with the KTR policy.

Abstract

The number of cases of bullying that occur in the school environment makes important attention in the world of education today, one of which is in Central Java. Thus making the mass media joined the rollicking to report the case. This research uses qualitative approach with Robert n framing analysis method. Etnman. The purpose of this study to determine the framing of news cases of bullying at the level of Central Java in the online media Detikjateng.com and Tribunjateng.com. Data were collected from news articles published in September 2023-February 2024. The results showed that the media Detikjateng.com and Tribunjateng.com has an important role in conveying information about bullying cases, focusing on several elements, namely physical, verbal and social bullying. In addition, the news also covers the handling of cases by the authorities and the psychological impact experienced by victims. This study emphasizes the need for more attention to the handling of cases of bullying as well as increased public awareness of this issue to create a safer educational environment for students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Kota Tanpa Kumuh (KOTAKU) Program in addressing slum settlements in Pontianak City. The program is based on Law No. 1 of 2011 on Housing and Settlements and the Pontianak Mayor’s Decree No. 1063/D-PRKP/2020. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research examines the program's effectiveness through Richard Matland's policy implementation theory, encompassing the dimensions of the right policy, right implementer, right target, and right environment. The findings indicate that the KOTAKU Program has generally been effective in reducing slum areas through improvements in basic infrastructure and flood control. The right policy dimension reveals that the policies align with local needs, while the right implementer highlights the coordination between DPRKP, Community Self-Reliance Agencies (BKM), and other stakeholders. However, in the right target dimension, there is a disparity in perceptions between the community and program implementers, with communities feeling that the benefits are unevenly distributed. The right environment dimension indicates that the program has considered local conditions, though community participation in maintaining program outcomes remains low. The study recommends improving communication and transparency between program implementers and the community, ensuring a more equitable distribution of benefits, and strengthening community participation to sustain program outcomes. These steps are expected to enhance the program's effectiveness in creating livable, healthy, and sustainable settlements in Pontianak City.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis interaksi antar pemain dan faktor-faktor penyebab munculnya rasisme dalam penggunaan fitur teks chat dan voice chat pada game online Valorant. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh penggunaan serta dampak dari kedua fitur tersebut, yang sering kali memicu tindakan rasis dan memengaruhi dinamika permainan serta perilaku pemain. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Computer Mediated Communication (CMC), yang menitikberatkan pada bagaimana komunikasi melalui media komputer dapat membentuk perilaku dan dinamika kelompok. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis kualitatif dengan pendekatan observasi dan wawancara terhadap pemain Valorant. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teks chat lebih sering digunakan untuk komunikasi strategis, sedangkan voice chat lebih banyak dipakai untuk komunikasi cepat dan intens. Tindakan rasis sering kali muncul sebagai bentuk ekspresi dominasi, strategi psikologis, atau reaksi emosional terhadap situasi dalam permainan.

Abstract

Gianyar Regency is one of the tourist destinations in Bali. This tourist area is certainly not free from various problems, both problems that can be easily overcome and problems that can hinder the development of tourism itself. Common problems are related to waste management. Based on these conditions, the purpose of this study is to determine waste management in supporting the development of sustainable tourism in Gianyar Regency. The research methodology used in this study is qualitative research with observation. The data sources used are secondary data sources. Secondary data in this study are data obtained from documentation or literature studies from the research locus. The results of the study indicate that waste management that has been carried out in Gianyar Regency is sorting waste from households and scheduling waste delivery according to its source to the final disposal site. Waste sorting activities starting from households have a significant impact on environmental cleanliness and the development of sustainable tourism in Gianyar Regency.

Abstract

Garut Regency is a region in West Java that holds simultaneous Regional Head Elections. The number of social media users who are the millennial generation is 402,000. Through political communication carried out by the Regional Head candidate pair, Abdusy Syakur Amin and Putri Karlina, they managed to win the Regional Election with 915,780 voters (65% of the vote), where even though they won by a landslide, this pair's victory was not able to increase the votes of parties who use social media, such as millennials, where the votes of millennials were only achieved by 53% of voters from around 915,780 which is a total of 2,005,168 voters in the DPT. This situation is caused by the political communication carried out in the media by the Regional Head candidate in Garut Regency which is still not effective because there is still a negative campaign attacking the couple Abdusy Syakur Amin and Putri Karlina on social media by the successful team of Helmi Budiman and Yudi Nugraha on social media, so that they do not provide a good example to voters on social media, and often create black campaigns which tend not to make voters' sympathy on social media shift to the couple Abdusy Syakur Amin and Putri Karlina. The aim of this research is to determine and analyze the extent to which social media used for political communication or campaigns can influence positive public opinion towards candidates for Regional Head in Garut Regency. The research method uses quantitative descriptive methods with data collection techniques using observation, questionnaires and literature studies, while data analysis uses data quality tests, classical assumption tests, simple linear regression tests, t tests and coefficient of determination tests. From the results of existing research, it can be concluded that the use of social media in political communication has a positive effect on public opinion.

Abstract

In the 2024 Legislative Election, there were 648 legislative candidates, of which 216 were female candidates. However, only 4 female candidates succeeded in securing a seat, one of whom is Dewi Susanti from Padang 4 District representing the Gerindra Party faction. This success highlights the importance of an effective political strategy. This study aims to identify the winning strategies and the supporting factors that contributed to the success of female legislative candidates from the Gerindra Party faction in the 2024 Legislative Election in Padang 4 District. The research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method, involving data collection from books, literature, notes, and relevant reports. The findings indicate that key factors in Dewi Susanti's victory include the presence of supportive figures behind the candidate, the cohesion of the success team, and financial support for the campaign. Additionally, significant supporting factors in the victory include social, political, and economic capital. This study provides an overview of the importance of combining various strategic factors in achieving victory in legislative elections, particularly for female legislative candidates.

Abstract

Habib Ali Sofyan, 2010631190056. "The Influence of Erigo X JKT48 Content Exposure on the TikTok Account @Erigo.Store on Purchase Decisions for Clothing Products." Communication Science Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Singaperbangsa University, Karawang.The background of this research is TikTok as a popular social media platform in Indonesia, utilized by various brands, including Erigo, for marketing. One of its strategies is collaborating with JKT48 through the Erigo X JKT48 campaign, which attracts fans' attention. This study aims to analyze the influence of Erigo X JKT48 content exposure on the TikTok account @Erigo.store on purchasing decisions for clothing products.This study employs a quantitative approach with a causal method based on the philosophy of positivism, using the Uses and Effect theory by Sven Windahl. The research population consists of members of the TEAM48 Karawang community, with a sample size determined using the Isaac and Michael formula, resulting in 81 respondents. The findings indicate that exposure to Erigo X JKT48 content on the TikTok account @Erigo.store has a positive influence of 78.8% on fashion purchasing decisions, while 21.2% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Organizational behavior refers to the actions and interactions of individuals within an organization. Effective organizational behavior plays a crucial role in creating a positive impact, particularly in public institutions, by enhancing the quality of services provided to the public. One of the main obstacles to improving public services in government agencies is low compliance with established standards. Other factors, such as organizational structure, employee performance, organizational culture, and service systems, also affect public satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe organizational behavior in the context of public service delivery. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing library research as the primary method for data collection, followed by content analysis. The findings indicate that organizational behavior in public institutions is influenced by education, experience, work culture, leadership, training, and incentives. These factors collectively determine the quality of services provided. The research results suggest that the better the organizational behavior, the better the public services delivered. Therefore, organizations must optimize supporting factors to ensure continuous improvement in public service delivery.

Abstract

mployee performance in the public sector is a crucial element in assessing the effectiveness of government policies and service programs. One of the internal factors influencing this performance is organizational culture. A strong organizational culture is believed to foster a positive work environment, increase employee loyalty, and encourage the achievement of optimal results. However, not all public agencies possess a supportive organizational culture. This study aims to analyze and show that organizational culture in public institutions has an influence on the good or bad performance of the employees produced. It employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing library research as the primary method of data collection, followed by content analysis. The findings indicate that employee performance in public institutions is influenced by organizational culture. The study shows that the better the organizational culture, the better the performance of employees. Therefore, organizations should routinely review their adopted cultural values and provide training aimed at strengthening organizational culture and enhancing employee motivation.
