Abstract

The purpose of this action research is to improve the competence learning material digestive system in class VIII G of SMP Negeri 2 Paron with scientific learning through the medium of the puzzle. Research carried out for 3 months starting in September 2014 to November 2014. The subject of this class action research was a number of 29 students. Data collection was performed by the method of observation and testing methods. Observation is aimed at three competencies: (1) the competence of attitude, (2) the competence of knowledge, (3) skills competency. The results showed that students' learning competence has increased, ie if the initial reflection completeness reached 59% in the first cycle increased to 69% and in the second cycle increased to 86%. Figures incompleteess decreased if the initial reflection of 41% then the first cycle decreased to 31% and the second cycle decreased to 14%. On average class increased if the initial reflection at 69 then the first cycle increased to 71 and the second cycle increased to 75. Thus, with these results it can be said that the puzzle able to enhanced student competence

Abstract

This aims to determine the use of critical analysis to improve metacognitive skills of students of SMP Negeri 2 Karangrejo on Topic Environmental Management. This research is a qualitative descriptive study is to describe the data obtained by identifying metacognitive skills of students through the use of critical analysis. This research was done in SMPN 2 Karangrejo class VII semester 2015. Researchers used 26 students as respondents and one expert as an observer. Data collection techniques is data metacognitive skills based on critical analysis of the workmanship scores of students, which is interpreted in the assessment of the level of metacognitive skills. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative. Results of the study are: (1) the use of critical analysis showed an increase in metacognitive abilities of students seen from the averagevalue of critical analysis in the first meeting and the second meeting, namely 50.09 and 66.13 (2) the observation of the quality of the implementation of learning have criteria " very good "seen from the average of the two meetings by an average score of 4.5 and a percentage of 91%.

Abstract

Learning biology is one area of Natural Sciences (IPA) which is integral with practical  activities. The lab activities are very important in understanding science concepts. One material that requires practical learning activities more meaningful so that the material of plant growth and development of class XII Science. It would require new innovation in the development lab manual. This study aims to make research the effect of duration of use and dose of manure mulchon plant growth chili as the building blocks lab manual.This research was conducted using a "Research and Development" (Research and Development). At this stage of research using Grid Design Divided (RPT) which uses two treatments, use of mulch and manure dose use with penggulangan 3 times, while in the Development stage using the results of research into practical instructions were validated by various experts. Based on the results of research and development,we can conclude several things: study the effect of long use of mulch and a dose of manure on the growth of chili can be used as the building blocks of manual lab work with Highlights Growth and Development Plant class XII Science developed in this study expressed very valid, based validation results from two experts namely materials experts and media specialists, with a 88% value validation.

Abstract

The research problem is how to integrate the character of responsibility in formo-based project-based learning and how to improve the character of student responsibilities after formo-based project-based learning. This research is a research and development research, with a sample of students of class X SMAN 1 Purworejo Lesson year 2017/2018. The results of this study are formo-assisted project-based learning that can integrate the character of responsibility through the use of formo planning at the end of the project preparation phase, the implementation formo at the project implementation stage and final form in the test result stage; 2) there is an increase of student responsibility from the beginning of preparation project up to the finished project ie from 80% to 100%.

Abstract

Learning in UIN Alauddin is still limited knowledge to students, while, one mission to improve the quality of educators Biology in terms of belief, moral and scientific attitudes have not been implemented. This is caused by a lack of learning resources that connects Biology Science and its relation to scientific Qur'an. Cell Biology as subjects that reveal about the phenomenon of the smallest unit of life, it can be studied with scientific Qur'an. Therefore, it is necessary to develop teaching materials of Cell Biology with scientific Qur'an to achieve one mission in Biology Education Courses of UIN Alauddin Makassar to improve quality in terms of the creed of Biology Educators, moral and scientific attitude. Cell Biology purposes of teaching materials even this can help students to better understand the concept of Cell Biology abstract to concrete, because in Cell Biology teaching materials displayed image by using a reference cell that contains the results of research conducted by experts Cell BiologY. Thus, the implementation and achievement of learning objectives can be achieved optimally so that it can support contextual learning of Cell Biology.

Abstract

The purpose of the research and development is to produce teaching materials such as textbooks supporting course in Biotechnology research based on the characterization of the sperm membrane proteins for students who take a course in Biotechnology. This research is a research and development, where the results of research become the teaching materials developed supporting Biotechnology course. Development models have prepared using ADDIE Model. Sources of data in this research include laboratory research and validation of the results sheet of Biotechnology material experts, instructional design experts, the media, and the trials in students. The analysis is used descriptive analysis and quantitative descriptive exploratory. The results of the research have developed become teaching materials like text books supporting courses and have been validated by the Biotechnology, the biotechnology material experts, instructional design experts, the media, the individual testing, and group trials. Based on the results of the validation material have obtained value of 89.56%, the results of the design validation and media experts to get the value of 93.75%, it means that the teaching materials has been developed which suitable to be used as a teaching material support biotechnology course. While the experiments performed to get a data the percentage of students that are equal to 88.98% and included in the category of “very good”, but still need to be revised based on advices and comments from students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know the learning and the carrying capacity of environmental literacy on the subject of environmental biology at Senior High School, apply the type of qualitative research and use purposive sampling in sampling, data collection by questioner and interview. The results showed that the learning done by the teacher has not fully supported the optimization of students' literacy.

Abstract

The low preservation of the environment makes the atmosphere less cool. One solution to the problem related to environmental preservation is by planting through hydroponics. The aim is to build an environmentally friendly attitude to students of SMP N 8 Semarang and to bring up students' desire to grow crops. Planting in a hydroponic manner in addition to helping preserve the environment, can also be useful to meet food consumption, health, and improve student concentration when the environment is beautiful. The hydroponics training was conducted by the laboratory at SMP N 8 Semarang for 3 days. The purpose of this study was to determine the environmentally friendly attitude of students of SMP Negeri 8 Semarang through hydroponic training. The method used is hydroponic observation training, interviews and questionnaires for students of SMP N 8 Semarang before being given training and after training using a behavioral checklist. The results of the study showed that there was a comparison of scores between before and after, namely the questionnaire before treatment obtained an average of 79.1 and the questionnaire after treatment obtained an average of 91.4. This data means that students care about the environment and students' interest in hydroponics is getting better. This was stated because students had taken the training activities seriously. This article concludes that to preserve the school environment the environment-friendly attitude of students of SMP N 8 Semarang is treated through hydroponic training.

Abstract

The objectives of the research were to know: 1) the effect of Jigsaw learning through Hypermedia and module toward  student’s achievement; 2) the effect of high and low memory ability toward  student’s achievement; 3) the effect of high and low social interaction toward  student’s achievement; 4) interaction between learning media and memory ability toward student’s achievement; 5) interaction between learning media and social interaction toward the student’s achievement; 6) interaction between memory ability and student social interaction toward the student’s achievement; 7) interaction between learning media and memory ability and student social interaction toward the student’s achievement. The research sample was determined by random cluster sampling technique that consists of two classes. Data collection techniques for achievement tests and memory skills, social interaction questionnaire for. Anova test hypotheses using 2x2x2 factorial design with the help of software Minitab 15.1.2. Based on the research were concluded : 1)  There was an effect of with hypermedia and module toward the student’s achievement. 2) There was no effect of memory ability to ward student’s achievement. 3) There was an effect of social interaction  toward student’s achievement. 4) There was no interaction between learning media and student’s memory ability toward student’s achievement. 5) There was no interaction between learning media  and social interaction toward student’s achievement. 6) There was no interactoin memory ability and social interaction  toward student’s achievement. 7) There was no interaction memory ability, social interaction, and learning media  toward student’s achievement .

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the abundance of phytoplankton in the waters of the inlet and outlet Reservoirs Bening. Hamlet Village Petung Pajaran Saradan District of Madison County as well as exploit some results of research on the abundance of phytoplankton as a medium of learning materials were shaped poster on the types of phytoplankton. This study uses the exploratory research is directly done by observing and identifying body shapes, locomotor and body color that is in the phytoplankton Reservoir Bening in the inlet and outlet by taking samples at two points each station with three replications samples. Phytoplankton that have been filtered observed under the microscope and then identified the species and grade as well as documented. Calculated amount of phytoplankton abundance at each inlet and outlet areas. The results showed that the abundance of phytoplankton in the inlet and outlet. Phytoplankton abundance in the inlet area of the Month December to February respectively is 330 ind/l, 286.291 ind/l, and 258.892 ind/l, while the abundance of phytoplankton in the area of the outlet of the Month December to February respectively Tutut 130.844 ind/l, 112.200 ind/l, and 98.430 ind/l. Phytoplankton species in the Reservoir Bening Saradan found 12 species of phytoplankton that is, Synedra ulna, Tetragonodium verum, Synedra acus, Surirella elegans, Ceratium, Surirella sp, Pediastrum simplex, Chlorocytrium lemnae, Nitzia palea, Crucigenia rectangularis, grevillei Navicula, Scenedesmus acumatus. Phytoplankton abundance is the most ubiquitous class Bacillariophyceae species Synedra acus.
