Abstract

This research is based on researcher’s concern in the lack of social studies improvement regarding to students’ map understanding. This research aims to improve elementary students’ ability in understanding map. This research uses qualitative approach with classroom action research method. The research model uses cycle model which covers four components: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects are 35 fourth grade students of SDN 1 Cengal. The instrument uses quistionare, observation sheet, and field data records. Based on the research can be concluded as follow: first, lesson plan in applying assignment method has its own characteristic compared to another lesson plan method. Second, there is learning development process in each cyclus. Assignment method encourages students to be active in learning and stimulates to improve learning process to be better. Third, the average score in the cyclus I is 70,07, the average score in the cyclus II is 73,83 and the average score in the cyclus III is 82,00. From the explaination above, can be concluded that there is the development in each cyclus which means that assignment method can improve the map understanding ability in elementary students. Keywords: learning, map, assignment method, cycle.

Abstract

The research aims at analyzing the land use by farmers, identifying the causes, knowing the relationship of the students’ understanding with their attitudes, and formulating materials about using of land on environmental preservation materials. The method is descriptive analytic. Data were collected through field surveys, interviews, literature studies and documentation. The population includes farmers, eighth grade students and MTs teachers in Argapura District. Farmer samples were randomly stratified, learners were taken using a proportional random sampling and teacher samples were the whole population. Data were analyzed using percentages and simple and multiple linear regression. The results show that the land use in the Argapura District was largely incompatible with the slope and the frequency of attending counseling as a causative factor of land use has a negative significance level. Students’ understanding of the land condition is parallel with their attitude towards land use so learning materials should be suited to the conditions of their environment to produce meaningful learning. It is recommended that the land use follow the environmental land management rules to preserve the environment, and existing materials were only concepts. Therefore further research should be on land use materials on environmental preservation materials in Class VIII Semester 1. Keywords: Land use, teaching materials, preservation of the environment.

Abstract

Peranan lingkungan sosial memiliki peranan penting terhadap pembentukan sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik. Adapun lingkungan sosial yaitu lingkungan keluarga, sekolah, masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peranan lingkungan keluarga, sekolah, dan masyarakat terhadap pembentukan sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik di SMA Negeri Kabupaten Cianjur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian survey. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 100 peserta didik. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini berupa kuesioner, studi literatur, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linear ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa lingkungan keluarga, sekolah, dan masyarakat memberikan peranan yang berarti dan lingkungan masyarakat yang berperan paling tinggi terhadap pembentukan sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik.Kata kunci: Lingkungan Sosial, Sikap Peduli Lingkungan.

Abstract

Objek kajian geografi sejatinya ada yang berbentuk konkrit dan sebagian ada yang terkategori “abstrak”. Seseorang baru dapat mengetahui adanya persebaran suatu objek, interaksi antar ruang, interelasi, interdependensi, dan adanya proses yang bekerja dalam ruang jika telah divisualisasikan dalam peta, tabel, grafik, gambar, angka statistik, dan atau visual animasi. Sifat kajian geografi tersebut tentu saja memiliki implikasi terhadap pembelajaran geografi di sekolah apalagi ada kewajiban untuk disampaikan melalui pembelajaran dengan pendekatan saintifik. Implementasi pendekatan saintifik pada mata pelajaran geografi akan mudah jika tersedia data sekunder yang berasal dari berbagai instansi yang berwenang dan jika lokasi observasi lapangan relatif dekat dengan lokasi sekolah. Oleh karena itu, pengelolaan waktu pertemuan di kelas, sebaiknya berorientasi pada efektivitas pembelajaran dan bukan semata-mata memenuhi lima langkah saintifik pada setiap pertemuan. Kata kunci: standar proses, geografi, Kurikulum 2013, saintifik.

Abstract

Learning activity can be developed by making various activity in the class. The learning activity can make student more dominant in the classroom. It can be done by using various learning models that can improve student to study means. With the result that cognitive of student can be improve. This research aims to see differences from learning models of science technology society with learning model problem based learning. The method that is used in this research is quasi experimental design with research design nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. To get the data is done with cognitive test (pretest and posttest), and also observation sheets to see learning activity. Technique of analyzing the data use statistic test normalize, homogeny and test T with helping of SPSS Statistic 21. Besides that, this research analyzes enhance cognitive students, and analyze successful of learning model science technology society and learning model problem based learning. The result of this research shows that learning model science technology society and learning model problem based learning can improve students cognitive. The conclusion from this research is learning model problem based learning and learning model science technology society are successful to improve students cognitive in State Senior High School 1 of Kroya. Meanwhile Learning model of problem based learning is more successful to improve students cognitive better than Science technology society model.Keywords: Learning model of science technology society, Learning model of problem based learning, Improvement cognitive.

Abstract

This study aims to improve understanding of the concept of students in learning geography through the implementation of project-type approach to inquiry based learning with group investigation, understanding the concept of indicators analyzed in this study is the aspect of translation, interpretation and extrapolation. The learning model is applied for in accordance with the principles of learning, which is centered on the problems, real experience, and students must have feedback about the process of achieving goals. Data obtained using quasi-experimental research methods, with techniques pretest and posstest. Research data processing techniques apply normality test and homogeneity test. To test the hypothesis, researchers applied statistical calculations parametric and non-parametric statistical calculations softwere utilization. The subjects were students of class XI and class XI IPS 2 IPS 3 SMAN 1 Anjatan. The results showed; (a) in the experimental class with the model PPA there are differences in pretest and posttest results, from the t-test results obtained sig (2-tailed) 0.000 0.05, (b) the experimental class with GI learning there are differences in pretest and posttest results , of the t-test results obtained sig (2-tailed) 0.000 0.05, (c) Generally from the comparison shows that the PPA models superior to models GI, it is based on the average - average class n.gain The PPA is superior, (d) Model PPA and GI have a different effect on every aspect of understanding the concept, the PPA is superior aspect is translation and interpretation, while GIs are superior in the aspect of translation and ekstrapolation. Thus the type of project-based inquiry approach to learning can be compared to the main alternative diajadikan group investigation in increasing understanding of the concept of students in learning geography, especially the matter of environmental preservation. Keywords: project based learning model, model group investigation,concept

Abstract

Fokus penelitian ini adalah pemanfaatan lingkungan sekitar sekolah sebagai sumber belajar efektif dan efisien untuk meningkatkan berpikir kritis peserta didik dalam pembelajaran IPS. Melalui metode inkuiri peserta didik diharapkan mampu berpikir kritis pada masalah lingkungan sekitar sekolah di Kawasan Punclut (Bandung Utara) dimana merupakan bagian dari cekungan Bandung yang memiliki kondisi alam dan keterkaitan ekosistem sangat penting untuk menjadi kawasan hutan lindung, dan sebagai salah satu generator iklim mikro serta entry point bagi penataan kawasan Bandung Utara. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VII SMPN 52 Bandung tahun ajaran 2012-2013. Metode penelitian menggunakan kuasi eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara hasil pretest dan posttest berpikir kritis pada kelas yang memanfaatkan lingkungan sekitar sebagai sumber belajar melalui metode inkuiri dengan yang tidak memanfaatkan lingkungan sekitar sebagai sumber belajar melalui metode ceramah. Dengan demikian, pemanfaatan lingkungan sekitar sebagai sumber belajar dapat meningkatkan cara berpikir kritis peserta didik. Rekomendasi yang dapat disampaikan : 1) Dibutuhkan kepiawaian guru untuk merancang perencanaan pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran dan lingkungan yang berada di sekitar sekolah. 2) Sebelum peserta didik memanfaatkan lingkungan sekitarnya, hendaknya mereka dibekali wawasan keilmuan dan hubungan sosial dengan masyarakat sebagai landasan dasar berpikir kritis.Kata kunci: Pemanfaatan lingkungan, sumber belajar IPS, berpikir kritis, metode inkuiri.

Abstract

Earth hour, kantong plastic berbayar, dan penanaman sejuta pohon adalah wujud meningkatnya kepedulian manusia pada lingkungan yang semestinya diikuti pula dengan makin baiknya sikap siswa pada lingkungan, tetatpi sikap siswa pada lingkungan masih bersifat negative. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBM) terhadap sikap  siswa pada lingkungan. Model pembelajaran tersebut diterapkan karena sesuai dengan prinsip pembelajaran yang berpusat pada permasalahan yang terjadi nyata dekat dengan siswa. Data diperoleh menggunakan metode penelitian quasi eksperimen, dengan pengujian sikap pada pretest dan posttest, Teknik pengolahan data penelitian menerapkan uji t. Untuk menguji hipotesis peneliti menerapkan perhitungan statistik dengan memanfaatkan software SPSS versi 21. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPS 2 dan kelas XI IPS 4. Hasil peneltian menunjukkan: (1) sesudah penerapan PBM sikap siswa di kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan; (2) sesudah pembelajaran konvensional sikap siswa pada lingkungan di kelas kontrol mengalami peningkatan; (3) sikap siswa pada lingkungan kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol; (4) di kelas eksperimen sikap siswa kelompok atas pada lingkungan lebih baik daripada kelompok bawah. Untuk meningkatkan keaktifan siswa perlu penerapan PBM lebih intensif, dan penelitian ini sebaiknya ditindaklanjuti dengan penelitian pada prilaku.Kata kunci: model pembelajaran, pembelajaran berbasis masalah, sikap.

Abstract

Forest tourism always improve itself to be better as like as the progressive of sustainable tourism and tourist has knew to go back to nature. The sustainable tourism well going on it is the ecotourism. One of the ecotourism area who famous is it Ir.H.Djuanda grand forest park. As a nature-based tourism Ir.H.Djuanda grand forest park need strategy to increase number of visit’s, they using elements of ecotourism strategy. Elements of ecotourism as independent variable (X) is nature, education and sustainability, and dependent variable (Y) is visit decision. Sustainable and education differentiating ecotourism from “nature-based tourism”. This type of research was descriptive verificative research and sampling methode use was systematic random sampling with the amount of sampling was 100 domestic tourist who has visited Ir.H.Djuanda grand forest park. Techniques of data analysis and hypothesis testing used was multiple linear regression analysis. The result showed that the dimension of the element of ecotourism education and visit decision dimension on purchase timing at the lowest score if we compared to other dimension. However it can be concluded that the elements of ecotourism Ir.H.Djuanda grand forest park and the visit decision to Ir.H.Djuanda grand forest park in the category of avarage, and also elements of ecotourism has influence the visit decision.Keyword : ecotourism, visit decision, grand forest park.
