Abstract

The aims of research is: 1). Making map of flood susceptibility in Special Capital Region of Jakarta area, based on geomorphology approach using DEM SRTM satellite imagery, and 2). Data inventory element at risk of flood. The method of data analysis used qualitative, based on interpretation satellite imagery data using elements of interpretation. Indicators used to result map of flood susceptibility are elevation, slope, and landform, using scoring and overlay technique. The result of research is flood susceptibility of low area is 13.613,40 ha, medium is 23.238,67 ha, and higt is 27.216,72 ha. Based on it, the majority of research area have hight of flood susceptibility. Based on spatial pattern, it showed that areas with high flood susceptibility are mostly located in the northern part of research area, and areas with the lowest flood susceptibility are majority in the southern part of researh area. The result analysis of element at risk, it showed that element at risk affected by flood for high, medium, or low level is settlement.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the noise level due to transportation activity in Banda Aceh. This research was conducted in three locations, namely Simpang Lima, Simpang Surabaya, and Jl. Mohd. Jam. Data collection time during rush hour is morning, noon and afternoon. Data retrieval using the Sound Level Meter tool with a time span of 1 hour each time the recording. Each data listed on the tool is recorded every 5 seconds for 1 hour so that the average of each measurement is obtained. At Simpang Lima 74.12 dB (A) morning, 71.4 dB (A) noon and 77.14 dB (A) afternoon. In Simpang Surabaya 75.37 dB (A) morning, 75.19 db (A) noon and 76.08 dB (A) afternoon. The last location is on Jl. Mohd. Jam is 71.89 dB (A) morning, 71.74 dB (A) noon and 75.67 dB (A) afternoon. The results showed that noise increased in the afternoon and average noise above 70 dB (A). These findings indicate that the noise level in Banda Aceh has exceeded the threshold set by the government.

Abstract

This study aimed to know the distribution of extreme rainfall frequency in Babel using CHIRPS data for 36 years from 1981-2016. The determination of extreme threshold value uses four methods, those are BMKG heavy rainfall threshold, Percentile-99, Quartile (Q3 + 3IQR) and Peak Over Threshold (POT). The results of frequency calculations on each grid are then mapped with Inverse Distance Weight (IDW) method in the ArcGIS application. However, there are five areas with different patterns of consistency. Northern Bangka especially in West Bangka regency is indicated as consistent high frequency area, consistent low frequency region is east coast of Bangka, while non-consistent area is west coast of Central Bangka to South Bangka regency. Two patterns in Belitung consistently show high frequency in the west and low in the east. The findings of these patterns are similar to the three zones of the season (ZOM) in Bangka established by BMKG. It can be a consideration to make ZOM in Belitung.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of the existence of Keujruen blang customary institution to increase the yield of rice farmer of Manggeng Southwest Aceh. The study was conducted in 2016 against 54 farmers and 17 respondents Keujruen blang. Data collection using questionnaires, interviews and in-depth observation. Data processing using Likert scale and percentage of respondents answers to know the existence of Keujruen blang customary institution in improving the yield of Manggeng farmers. The result of the research shows that most (85,5%) of the respondents positive answer to the existence of Keujruen blang customary institution can increase the production of paddy farming of Manggeng farmers in order to improve the farming prosperity and food security in the future

Abstract

Water is a vital natural resource for human beings, while the existing water supply can not keep pace with developments that occur in all sectors of life. Therefore research on the evaluation and water compliance level should be done. The method used in this research was descriptive explorative method with population area on all land use in sub-watershed Cikeruh River, sampling research used purposive sampling. Data collection techniques used were field observation, literature study and documentation study. The data analysis was determined by the water balance formula and by counting the amount of water demand for land use in the Cikeruh sub watershed. The results showed that the availability of raw water insub-watershed Cikeruh River was positive in November – April, and  May – October is negative, water is sufficient to meet the needs of the household, livestock and industry sectors, so it can not meet the water needs in the agricultural sector.

Abstract

The aims of this research are: (1) To identify geographical condition in West Bandung regency related to geopark development (2) To analyze Geopark condition Based on Geo-diversity, Bio-diversity and Cultural-diversity. (3) Identify the various efforts that can be done for the development of Geopark area in West Bandung regency. This research is descriptive research with survey method. The results showed that the geographical conditions are very diverse, there are various formations covered by various variations of rocks. Ikim belongs to the middle classification. The results of research have 15 locations that have potential to become Geopark Area. Sturges calculation shows that West Bandung regency worthy to be made Geopark Area. Scoring results on variables expressed by the Global Geopark Network is still somewhat less so that requires management to make West Bandung District as a Geopark Area. Keywords: bio-diversity, cultural-diversity, geodiversity, geopark

Abstract

The aims of this research are to (1) analyze the type of infiltration well that can be applied in Mangkubumi District of Tasikmalaya, and (2) analyze the relevance of infiltrationwell manufacture with the ecological intelligence development. This research is a descriptive quantitative analytics with the research location of Mangkubumi District. The method of collecting data is secondary gained through literature review. Data analysis has been done through descriptive analysis of physical condition. The research result shows that Mangkubumi District generally fulfills the technical terms of infiltration well manufacture based on SNI 03-2453-2002. The type of infiltration well that can be applied in Mangkubumi District is type II, the infiltration well with adobe and red brick without cement plaster with a hole between them and type A retention pool. The infiltration well manufacture can be applied at school project learning method of geography subject therefore the ecological intelligence of students can grow and develop because they experience it directly.

Abstract

Residential area diversity became a challenge in building area information extraction especially when associated with the extensive space of residential areas formed in Indonesia. Using high resolution RGB aerial photographs with nDSM height data support, transferable GEOBIA developed to overcome the challenges and problems. Master rulesets arranged in the main area and applied to several test areas to compliment the characteristics as well as the stability of accuracy that can be produced. Segmentation and classification multilevel technique adapted in master ruleset to achieve best results with the lightest processing load. Transferable GEOBIA ruleset proved to provide accurate information of reliable building area on various characteristics of residential area. In the main area, the accuracy value reaches 91.25% while in other test areas the accuracy exceeds 85% which is 92.22%, 86.19% and 92.73%.

Abstract

Nowadays, fresh water availability is a problem and require serious attention from all parties. Urbanization in Kayuambon Village causes highly growth population and require fresh water to support the needs, it resources come from groundwater. This research aims to determine the groundwater direction and accumulation based on groundwater modeling using IDW, Kriging, Spline, and Minimum Curvature interpolation techniques. Result shows that Kriging interpolation technique has the highest validity then others with ME = 0.316833, RMSE = 10.68147, and R2 = 0.88934. Groundwater modeling results also found that Kayuambon Village has two cone of depression are located in the central and northern of the village which known as concentration of groundwater flow. This study is expected to be a consideration for people and stakeholders to realize sustainable groundwater utilization.
