Abstract

The library is an important part of a university. Especially for UIN Walisongo Semarang which states to be a research Islamic university based on the vision that has been announced. The library is a vital unit contributing to the realization of the vision of the institution because it is a storage place for various research results both from inside and outside UIN Walisongo Semarang. In addition, several problems occur in the library, so it is necessary to forecast the number of visitors to ascertain the number of librarians who serve it. Decomposition becomes a statistical method in predicting the number of visitors because this method breaks the components of a periodic series separately which can improve the accuracy of forecasting. This prediction has resulted in an increase in the number of visitors to the library of UIN Walisongo Semarang in 2020 compared to the previous year. Based on the results of forecasting the number of visitors, the number of librarians that must be provided is 42 librarians.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in a change in the learning system which was originally carried out face-to-face and replaced with distance learning or online. The purpose of this research is to describe distance learning management (planning, implementing, and controlling), the constraints that arise and the solutions to overcome them. The research method uses qualitative research with a case study design and an ethnographic approach. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 27 Surakarta. Primary data sources were obtained from school principals, vice principals for curriculum, teachers, and students. Data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The validity of the data was carried out using source triangulation techniques and double checking. Data analysis techniques in this study include data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that: (1) Distance learning planning at SMPN 27 Surakarta includes preparation of learning instruments, preparation of teaching materials, preparation of infrastructure, teacher training, and preparation of implementation schedules; (2) The implementation of distance learning has been running well and smoothly. Implemented using an LMS in the form of Google Classroom and Zoom, and supported by the Whatsapp (WA) application; (3) PJJ control is carried out by carrying out monitoring and evaluation activities; (4) The constraints found were divided into two, namely internal constraints (obstacles in the school) and external constraints (coming from outside the school); (5) The solution to overcoming obstacles is to maximize the teacher's role, increase the diversity of file types and sources of teaching materials, optimize features in Google Classroom, and work with parents to guide children's learning during distance learning implementation. The implication of distance learning management is the need for collaboration between school principals, teachers, students, and parents so that the implementation of distance learning can run well.

Abstract

The university ranking is an achievement indicator based on reputation, especially global reputation. The objectives of this study are (1) To determine the relevance of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and PTKINs’ reputation based on SMS and Webometrics ranking; (2) To find out the correlation between KPI and PTKINs’ Reputation. This study uses mixed methods or integration of quantitative and qualitative research. The research objects were 17 PTKINs. For the analysis technique, it uses person correlation and explorative analysis. The results showed that of 51 KPI criteria, only one was relevant to the reputation of PTKINs based on the SMS ranking. In contrast, there are 13 KPI criteria that fit PTKINs' reputation based on Webometrics ranking. KPI does not correlate with PTKINs’ reputation based on SMS ranking, while KPI correlates with PTKINs’ reputation based on Webometrics ranking. For this reason, a policy is needed to synchronize KPI with WCU standards that have been recognized globally. While the implementation of ranking based on SMS needs to be reviewed because it does not reflect PTKINs' reputation.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic caused turbulence in all sectors, including Islamic Rural Banks. The financial performance of Islamic Rural Banks has come under pressure due to the decline in SMEs financing quality. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the financial performance of Indonesian Islamic rural banks during the Covid-19. This research method uses a descriptive quantitative approach with secondary data in financial statements from 165 Islamic Rural Banks in Indonesia as a population and sample. Data analysis techniques use descriptive statistics to reveal the performance of Islamic Rural Banks during the Covid-19 pandemic for the January-December 2020 period, which includes Productive Asset Quality, Non- Performing Financing, Return on Assets, BOPO, Financing to Deposit Ratio, and Cash Ratio. The findings of this study show that most Islamic rural banks have experienced a decline in financial performance. The implication is that Islamic rural banks must strengthen risk management to deal with the possibility of similar or other pandemics in the future.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused changes in various sectors, including the education sector. These changes are found in implementing learning that previously took place in the classroom offline and must now be carried out online/blended learning. This study aims to develop a Physics Multimedia Learning (PsML), to test the product's validity and effectiveness in improving pre-service physics teachers' critical thinking skills on the subject of Static Electricity. This study uses a 4D development model. Data collection methods used are questionnaires, tests, and documentation. Validity testing is carried out through an assessment by two experts. The product that has been made is tested on pre-service physics teachers. The sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique by taking pre-service physics teachers who have taken the Basic Physics 1 course. The final product of Physics Multimedia Learning (PsML) contains covers, instructions for use, lists of materials and manuals, apperceptions, material content consisting of videos and pdf materials, activities, questions to make pre-service physics teachers think critically in finding concepts, Quiz, and the final project. The validator's assessment results show that the product is feasible in the excellent category. The experimental class's improvement of critical thinking skills is in the medium type, with a coefficient of 0.6. This increase was higher than the control class, which experienced an expansion with a coefficient of 0.32. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that PsML is effective for improving critical thinking skills in Static Electricity material.

Abstract

The housing complex around the campus is a laboratory for lecturers and students as the most effective embodiment of the tri dharma of higher education. This tri dharma is based on campus programs called environmental development, where the campus feels responsible for students living in villages around the campus. One pattern of bringing the campus world closer to the community is how to empower human resources around the campus. This article aims to describe the role of the State Islamic Religious College in empowering the Kampoeng Amanah Social Institution (Amanah Learning Center), a village whose mission is to make the village an English-language village. Research and service methods are carried out in a participatory manner, namely through social analysis of community potential and assisting them in realizing a language village pilot based on Islamic values. The assistance stages are through entrance, Diagnosis, Action Planning, Intervention, Evaluation and Reflection. The results of this research and service have brought about the reorganization of ALeC management based on a map of the human resource potential of Kampoeng Amanah who has a background in education, economics and religion. This assistance has also resulted in a sustainable ALeC program design and the implementation of these programs for ALeC's survival in creating a language village based on Islamic values. The housing complex around the campus is a laboratory for lecturers and students as the most effective embodiment of the tri dharma of higher education. Abstract

At weddings, after the marriage contract is carried out, Muslims are encouraged to hold a walimatul 'ursy, or what is also known as a banquet. In holding a walimatul 'ursy, there are procedures so that it is by Islamic law. In Islam, it has been regulated that the lives of men and women are separate, meaning that no mixing (ikhțilat) is permitted, and it has been explained in the Al-Qur'an and hadith regarding the harm that occurs if you give khțilat. It must also be applied during the walimatul 'ursy. The separation between men and women in the walimatul 'ursy is called walimah infiṣal. This research aims to find out the views of Islamic law regarding walimah infiṣal. This research uses qualitative methods with a case study approach, and the researcher took four wedding organizers from the PANATACARA organization in Bandung City for research. The research results show that the implementation of walimah infiṣal is highly recommended to avoid mixing between men and women who are not mahram. This is carried out in three ways, namely separating the aisle, separating guests, and separating the food buffet between men and women. At weddings, after the marriage contract is carried out, Muslims are encouraged to hold a walimatul 'ursy, or what is also known as a banquet.
