Abstract

Realitas yang plural mengantarkan masyarakat pada perbedaan yang seringkali menimbulkan konflik, ketidak siapan masyarakat atas perbedaan agama, idiologi, keyakinan dan ritual pada lingkungan sosial menjadikan agama keluar dari fungsinya sebagai penuntun pada perdamaian. Agama merupakan sistem yaitu sebagai kontrol sosial yang pada dasarnya mengontrol manusia agar manusia dapat senantiasa menjadi insan yang ihsan. Melihat realitas idiologi dan keyakinan yang berbeda menjdikan fungsional bagi sebagian segmen dan menjadi tidak fungsional bagi sebagian segmen yang lain, dalam hal tersebut perlu kiranya memunculkan kembali sub sistem yang memang pada dasarnya merupakan bagian dari  sistem agama yaitu toleransi, toleransi dibutuhkan sebagai upaya menjembatani perbedaan tersebut dengan menekan rasa egoisitas dan kepentingan untuk kemaslahatan bersama dalam hidup berdampingan.

Abstract

Jama'at Tabligh atau disebut juga dengan Thablighi Jama,at adalah satu di antara gerakan-gerakan Islam grassroot yang paling berpengaruh pada abad ke-20 di anak benua Asia selatan. Secara bervariasi, ia dikenal juga dengan nama Jama’at, Tahrik (gerakan, movement), Nizam, (sistem), Tanzim (organisasi), Thabligh (dakwah), dan Tahrik al-Iman (gerakan iman, faith movement). Jika dibandingkan dengan beberapa gerakan Islam yang lain, ia dikenal sebagai sebuah gerakan yang “apolitis", dalam pengertian tidak terlibat dalam kegiatan-kegiatan politik baik dalam tataran wacana maupun praktis.

Abstract

Indonesia as a pluralistic country inherited the spirit of tolerance, peace and recognize religious pluralism and unity of truth as a form tantularisme, the religious fervor that has a religious typology, non-doctrinaire, tolerant, accommodating and optimistic. To achieve harmony among religious believers in Indonesia, every religious followers should understand and respect the religious beliefs of different shapes. There are five concepts of thought offered by Mukti Ali to respect religious diversity and creating a harmonious: syncretism, reconception, Synthesis, replacement, and agree in disagreement. The fifth concept is realized in the form of dialogue as a means of forming harmony. Inter-religious dialogue is the means used Mukti Ali in his efforts to form unity. Dialogue and harmony among religious believers is a bridge that can not be separated, both will be interrelated because in the quest for harmony be required also inter-religious dialogue as a means of dialogue, friendship and cooperation in creating an ideal social order.

Abstract

Budaya Jawa menempatkan sisi terdalam dari kesadaran budayanya melalui rangkaian simbol yang terstruktur secara rumit. Meskipun demikian, makna simbolik itu akan selalu menjadi acuan bagi perilaku budayanya. Di dalam memposisikan perempuan, secara simbolik masyarakat Jawa, khususnya di kalangan keraton juga memakai rangkaian simbol. Dengan demikian perilaku yang langsung terkait dengan posisi perempuan dalam masyarakat Jawa harus dimaknai simbolik dari fenomena poligami di lingkungan Keraton Mataram. Dengan melihat dari sisi sejarah penulis ingin mengungkapkan pandangan budaya Jawa terhadap posisi perempuan dalam sistem kebudayaannya, terutama dalam konteks poligami. Kata Kunci: Poligami, Dinasti Mataram

Abstract

In the tradition of mainstream Christianity, the Trinity is a very central dogma as a faith in God as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It can be seen in the 12 creeds of the Apostolic Creed where the faith of the Trinity was first, second, and third. There is one school of Christianity, calling themselves Jehovah's Witnesses, rejecting the dogma of the Trinity in their divine concept. According to Jehovah's Witnesses, the word Trinity is not originated of the Bible. The Trinity is also not taught by early Christian Fathers and Pre-Nicene. The Trinity Dogma was introduced by Constantine for some reasons, and even continued in the Athanasian Creed. Jehovah's Witnesses therefore believe that the Trinity dogma is an apostate that the Bible has foretold, and is influenced by ancient beliefs and Platonism.

Abstract

Sejarah setiap agama hampir pasti menoreh sisi kekerasan di dalam menegakkan ajarannya. Barangkali gambaran suram agama inilah yang mengekskalasi munculnya berbagai asumsi tentang hipokritik ajaran dari dari agama, di satu sisi mengajarkan kedamaian tetapi di sisi lain juga mengajarkan kekerasan. Memang secara eksplisit tidak ada agama yang mengajarkan kekerasan, tetapi secara implisit kedamaian yang diajarkan agama itu mau tidak mau harus memakai tumbal yang berupa kekerasan. Terlepas dari benar tidaknya fenomena ini, realitas yang muncul justru mendukung komitmen bahwa sejarah agama itu “selalu” berwarna “merah”, dan, dengan menelusuri akar normative agama dan realitas tentang munculnya kekerasan di dalam agama.

Abstract

This fi eld research deals with the juvenile religiosity among the narcotic abuse, a casestudy on different religious adherents in Al-Qadir Islamic Boarding School, SlemanYogyakarta. The focus is on how the method of teaching carried out among juvenilenarcotics abuse that based on different religious adherents in Pondok Pesantren Al-Qodir. It includes the religiosity prior to and the aftermath of their relation with thePondok. Applying a qualitative type of approach with an in-depth interview, theresearch shows that, fi rst, the process of nurturing is manifest on the juvenile narcoticsabuse from different religious adherents in the Pondok and second, the religiosity amongthe juveline prior to and the aftermath of their relation with the Pondok PesantrenAl-Qodir is profound.

Abstract

Human life can not be separated from the natural world around it. Nature is the main source of humans to connect the chain of life. Suber food basically comes from nature which is then processed in such a way by humans. That way, it is very necessary to have actions that are caring and conserving nature so that it is maintained. In Hinduism, there is the term Panca Yadnya which contains the worship or sacrifice which is done sincerely and sincerely from the heart. One of the elements of the five Yadnya is done to the Butha to preserve nature and harmony of human life during the world called the Bhuta Yadnya. In another sense, Bhuta Yadnya is an offering made with the welfare of plants. Of course this is also related to natural conditions which are an important component in supporting the survival of human life. The relationship between nature and humans is inseparable because the two are interrelated, therefore, it is necessary to have a reciprocal relationship in maintaining a balance between the two. In this paper, it explains about the role of the Panca Yadnya ceremony or the five types of sacrifices performed in Hindu beliefs, especially regarding the Bhuta Yad whose role is to preserve nature. In undergoing the life cycle of the world, humans play an important role in preserving the surrounding natural preservation.

Abstract

Ritual is religion in action. gumbregan is one of the rituals carried out every year by the community of Saptosari Gunungkidul. This ritual is only carried out by Gunungkidul farmers who have cattle. Cows as pets that are considered meritorious for the people of Saptosari who mostly work as farmers because they help in cultivating agricultural land. The gumbregan ritual is held every seven months at the time of Wuku Gumbreg (Javanese calendar). The purpose of the gumbregan ritual is related to the myth of the farmer, they have hope that the atmosphere is peaceful and avoid negative things, such as disturbing the peace of the soul. The author uses the theory of Victor Turner's liminality which analyzes the state of society when performing religious rituals and for studying aspects of the ritual. The author explains this gumbregan ritual using a field research data source. Which is supported by using the method of observation, interviews, documentation, and processed using descriptive analytical methods. This ritual is interpreted as a warning to the prophet Sulaiman who has ruled all animals in the universe, a form of gratitude to God, and as a step to unite the community in order to create safe and peaceful living conditions so as to foster a sense of togetherness in social matters.Keywords: Gumbregan ritual, religious social life, farming community.
