Abstract

Facebook is widely used in social communication, especially adolescents. Facebook can be easily accessed by using their smartphone. One of negative effect from facebook is unhealthy pre-marital sexual behavior. This effect can be minimized if the adolescents has a good self-control. This study was analyticobservational with cross-sectional design. The goal was analyze correlation between self-control of using facebook and pre-marital sexual behaviour. Self-control variable in this study foccused on accepting a friend request from someone who is never known, communicating with someone who is never known on facebook, asking to meet each other in real life with someone who is never known on facebook, and accepting to meet each other in real life with someone who is never known on facebook. The population was 13.532 adolescents (15–19 years old) who was living at Kapasmadya Baru, Tambaksari, Surabaya City, Indonesia in 2016. Sampling was simple random sampling and obtained 97 sample. The analysis used Chi-square test with α = 5%. The result showed that all of adolescents communicate easily with someone who is never known before. There were correlation between self-control of using facebook and pre-marital sexual behaviour (p = 0.000). So that, adolescents need support from their social living, especially their parents to control themselves during use facebook or another social media.Keywords: self-control, facebook, adolescent, pre-marital sexual behaviour

Abstract

Currently many teenagers only drinking when they are thirsty, while the thirst is a sign of dehydration. Moreover they have another habit, they didn’t allocate their money for buying drink and they also didn’t bring a tumblr at school. That unhealthy habit can lead dehydration. One of the dehydration’s impact was fatigue and lost of focus. The purpose of this research was to analyze the relationship between d rink’s expense and water consumption patterns with the h ydration status at SMP Unggulan Bina Insani Surabaya. This study was an observational study with cross sectional design using simple random sampling technique. The sample was 50 students. The variables were  drink’s expense, water consumption patterns, and  hydration status. This study was conducted at SMP Unggulan Bina Insani Surabaya. Data analysis using spearman/pearson and chi-square test with α = 0.05. The result of this study showed that most of the student had average  drink’s expense, less water consumption patterns, and Minimal Dehydration. There was a relationship between d rink’s expense (p = 0.047), and d rinking pattern (p = 0.000) with h ydration status. The conclusion of this study was the two independent variables such d rink’s expense and water consumption patterns show a significant relationship with h ydration status at SMP Unggulan Bina Insani Surabaya. Suggestions for the school was to provide counseling about the definition, signs, impact, and how to prevent dehydration in students in order to avoid the incidence of dehydration.

Abstract

Drug abusers increases every years, and the student is one of vulnarable group. The students are adolescence group who have emotional instability, and high couriousity about something new because they thinks they already adult. The purpose of this study was to describe drug abuse, and drug type of thestudent in Surabaya. The research was descriptive which analyzed secondary data in rehabilititation’s division BNN Kota Surabaya. The population of this study were the students in Surabaya during 2015. The purposive sampling was used to take sample in this study which consisted of 189 students whorecorded by BNN Kota Surabaya. The research was done at Agustus-September 2016 in BNN Kota Surabaya. The results showed that 80.95% the students were male, in the early teens (54.5%). Drug of Choice and drug most often used was double L with the amount of each 97.35%, and 88.89%, and most of the drug being abused was only one type (91.53%). Most of the students abused drug found in Sawahan and Tegalsari districts. It was concluded that most of the students who use drug were male, in early teen, using double L/Trihexyphenidyl, and coming from Sawahan and Tegalsari. Routine screening on students, and spot inspections need to be done.Keywords: drug abuser, drug type, the student

Abstract

The  forecast is a statistic analysis to predict what it will happen in the future using the data and information from the past. This research aimed to apply Artificial Neural Network method for estimate the f ertility rate in Surabaya. The study was descriptive which using secondary data providing from Dinas Kesehatan Kota Surabaya. The study used time series data by recapitulation of  fertility rate monthly from 2012-2016. The data analysis used R Program. The result showed the best estimator model for Artificial Neural Network method was 1-3-1 architecture with preprocessing normalized. RMS value of Artificial Neural Network method was 338.1551. The conclusion of this research was the Artificial Neural Network method for estimate the f ertility rate in Surabaya could be used for planning birth control program especially Badan Kependudukan dan Keluarga Berencana Nasional.

Abstract

HIV AIDS is considered as global threat due to the adverse impacts it brings to all sectors. The number of person with HIV-AIDS increases both in men and women. For pregnant women, HIV is not just a threat to the mother but also for the infant, therefore as to prevent the transmission and complication during pregnancy, screening should be made through an HIV test. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the number ofantenatal care and stigmatization on participation of pregnant women for HIV testing after counseling by Health Workers in the working area of Turi Public Health Center, Lamongan. This study applied cross sectional study. The population in this study consisted of 80 pregnant women. Simple random sampling was chosen for Sampling Technique and it was obtained as many as 42 respondents. Data collection was done using a questionnaire and interviews. Data were analyzed using frequency distribution tables and chi square test with significance level of 5% (p = 0.05). The results revealed that from as many as 42 pregnant women who made antenatal visit > 4 times, 100% of these pregnant women did not take HIV test while pregnant women who made only 2–4 times antenatal visit was as many as 16 individuals (64%) took the test, and only one pregnant woman who took the test on the first visit. Pregnant women who did not have the stigmatization, 100% took the HIV test. Statistical analysis showed no correlation between the number of antenatal visits (p = 0.000) and stigmastization (p = 0.000) of pregnant women for HIV testing after counseling by Health Workers. It is necessary to increase the provision of information and education for the pregnant women through health promotion concerning the importance of HIV testing and antenatal visits to the Health Care.Keywords: HIV test, Number of antenatal care, Stigmatization

Abstract

Every child has rights for survival, growth, development and protection from violence and discrimination. Family’s problem such as poverty, bad relationship between children and p arents, divorce, and acts of violence in children that affecting children become street children and abandoned children. Street children are very close to violence, neglected by  parents, economic problems that result in children not attending school or an inadequate life. Although children in UPTD Kampung Anak Negeri has background as street children and abandoned children but with training that provided, the children are able to achieve a proud achievement. The research was conducted at UPTD Kampung Anak Negeri Surabaya with descriptive method of qualitative approach. The first variable in this research is the characteristics of children consisting of the background of p arenting, achievements, and activities that are occupied. The second variable is the internal dimension factor of s elf-concept consisting of selfidentity, self-behavior, and self-assessment. Instrument in this research is guidance of interview and observation with informant amounted to 8 people who already have achievements. Most children already know their self-identity. Most children are satisfied with their self if it compared with before they in UPTD Kampung Anak Negeri. Most children are already aware and responsible with the task they do. The conclusions of this study indicate that the  self-concept supports the creation of good mental health.

Abstract

Every year, the Indonesian pilgrims reached 200 thousand people and the health risks were still high. Hajj health surveillance are conducted to determine the progression of the disease in terms of place and time in pilgrims, and used for prevention efforts. The purpose of this research was to evaluate the attributes of surveilance performed by Dinkes Kota Surabaya in 2015. The research was done in Dinkes Kota Surabaya. This research was descriptive and its implementation using interview techniques using an instrument such as a questionnaire sheet. Respondents were a managing officer of health surveillance program Hajj in Dinkes Kota Surabaya and at Puskesmas. Results from this study is the evaluation of the attributes of surveillance shows that health Hajj surveillance systems in Dinkes Kota Surabaya in 2015 already meet the attributes of flexibility, timeliness, sensitivity, representativeness and acceptability. The evaluation of the attributes of surveillance is not fulfilled on health Hajj surveillance systems in Dinkes Kota Surabaya are attributes of simplicity, data quality and stability, while the positive predictive value can not be calculated. Advice that can be given are making plans a schedule for examining prospective pilgrims, monitoring the reporting and increasing the number of surveillance personnel.Keywords: evaluation, atribute of surveillance, health hajj surveillance

Abstract

Low hemoglobin (Hb) level said as anemia, would reduce the ability to learn and endurance. Students who suffer from anemia will not have a hight enthusiasm for learning because it is difficult to concentrate. Consequently, anemia indirectly affect the value of courses and learning achievement. The aim of research was to analysis hemoglobin (Hb) level which influents to study achievement school-age- children. Statistic test of the research was linier regression with α 0.05 by applying cross sectional approach. The sample taken by simple random sampling, and I got 67 respondents school – age – children class II–VI. The result of the research showed that Hb had significantly influent to study achievement school – age – children by analysed regresilinier on grade p = 0.002.Keywords: hemoglobin level, anemia, study achievement

Abstract

The high demand for drinking water consumption leading to increase public interest to consuming refilled drinking water, because it’s more practice, hygienic and affordable price. But still many Refilled Drinking Water Depots which not yet fulfilled conditions of drinking water quality which have beenspecified. This aims of this researchwas to analyze the bacteriological quality of raw water and refilled drinking water in the refilled drinking water depots and the incidence of diarrhea in Sememi village, Benowo district. This research was an analytical survey by cross-sectional design. Interview conducted on 100 respondents who are use bulkdrinking water using simple random sampling. Interviews were also to handlers in refilled drinking water depot. The observation included condition and the type of disinfectant were used, and taking water sample to laboratory for examination. The independentvariables were bacteriological quality of refilled drinking water, while the incidence of diarrhea most of the dependent variable. Another variable that also studied including duration of use and period storage of refilled drinking water. For the result, all samples of raw water showed growth of E. coli, afterprocessing 2 depots were not eligible. The prevalence of diarrhea in consumens was 16%. It is concluded that 11 of 16 (68.75%) diarrhea patients are consume eligible drinking water refills. Supervision to depots also important to prevent and reduce the incidence diarrhea from drinking water produced.Keywords: Refilled Drinking Water, Drinking Water Depot, diarrhea, E. coli

Abstract

Lack care of childs  personal hygiene can cause some health problems such as diarrhea, worms, scabies, and others. Parenting contribute on the p ersonal hygiene behaviour. The aim of this study was to described childs  personal hygiene based on  parenting perception of children in UPTD Kampung Anak Negeri Surabaya. This study was a descriptive cross sectional study with quantitative approach. The sample was 30 f oster children with determining the sample by random sampling. Data were taking with questionnaires and interview. Instrument used in this study was questionnaires and interview guideline. Data analysis were conducted with descriptive analysis. The results was most of the  foster children were 12-16 years old. Most of the  foster children was in the road more than 7 months. The majority of  foster children was schoolless. Most of the  foster children was entered the UPTD because singing in the road. Most of the  foster children had a good  personal hygiene. Most of the  foster children had democratic perception on  parenting. The conclusion of this study is  foster children that have otoriter, democratic, as well as permissive perception on  parenting have good perception on  personal hygiene.
