Abstract

ARI is a major killer of toddlers the world, more than AIDS, malaria, and measles combined.  In the world, every year estimated more than 2 million toddlers died because of ARI (Unicef/WHO, 2006). This research was an observational study with cross sectional design. The population in this research were children was 50 toddlers. Sampling using cluster random sampling technique. The dependent variable was ARI in toddlers in Tumapel Village, Mojokerto District. The independent variables were toddlers characteristics and the physical sanitary home. The methods used to take primary data were interview with questionnaire, observation, and measurement. While secondary data collection was from the device of Tumapel Village, Dlanggu Public Health Center, and the Health Departemen of Mojokerto. This research used logistic regression with confidence interval 0,05 (α = 5%). The result showed there were 2 variables that had significant correlation with ARI, they were age of toddlers (p=0,013) and the physical sanitary home (p=0,015). The results of temperature and humidity measurement were not correlated, moreover, PM2,5measurement in the respondents’ house exceed the limit sets by the Ministry of Health (Permenkes No. 1077 Tahun 2011). The conclusion of this research was age of the toddlers and the physical sanitary home had correlation with ARI. It was recommended to improve toddlers immunity through giving the balance diet and to improve environmental health with closing house ventilation in the day and afternoon so the concentration of PM2,5in the house can be decreased to lower the risk of ARI.

Abstract

The Box-Jenkins forecasting method is one of the time series forecasting methods. This method uses past values as dependent variables and independent variables are ignored. Box-Jenkins (ARIMA) method has advantages that can be used on non-stationary data, can be used on all data patterns including seasonal data patterns so this method can be used to predict cases of DHF in East Java Province. This research was conducted to determine the best model with seasonal ARIMA forecasting model and also to analyze the result of DHF case forecasting in East Java Province. The analysis result shows that the best model for DHF case in East Java Province is ARIMA (1,1,2)(2,1,1)12. The best model has fulfilled the test requirement that is parameter significance test and diagnostics check. Forecasting results show the number of DHF cases in 2017-2018 will experience an upward trend. The total number of DHF cases in 2017 was 14,277 cases and increased to 22,284.54 DHF cases in 2018. The forecasting results showed that the highest peak of DHF cases occurred in January 2017 with 1,914.22 cases and then decrease in the next month until the lowest case occurred in October with 768.46. The forecast for 2018 also shows that the highest DHF cases occurred in January with 3455.55 and declined to the lowest in October with 1126.49 cases. MAPE value in the forecast is 43.51%. The MAPE value indicates that the forecasting is good enough, adequate and feasible to use.

Abstract

Indonesia is the second most populated country with TB in the world. The proportion of Tuberculosis (TB) and adult tuberculosis cases in Indonesia is increasing every year. East Java is ranked second in TB cases in Indonesia. Surabaya is the most common city of TB cases. Therefore, WHO recommends the DOTS program for TB control that focuses on finding and healing TB patients, especially TB children. However, the implementation of this program has an imbalance in the number of adult TB findings and child TB. Factors that influence the discovery of TB suspected children are the length of practice and knowledge of Independent Practice Doctors (DPM). The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of long time practice and knowledge of Practice Doctor Mandiri on TB child suspected finding. This research is an umbrella research of operational research of child TB treatment network with cross sectional study design. The sampling technique is simple random sampling with the amount of 42 people. Data collection is secondary data using data collection sheets. Data analysis using logistic regression. The result shows that there is a long effect of practice on TB children with p value 0,015 <0,05 and OR value is 8,182. Independent Practice Physician Knowledge has no effect on TB children with p value 0,297> 0,05 and OR 2,125. There is a need for regular socialization of child TB, especially the management of child TB and the commitment of the Independent Practice Doctor to the discovery of TB suspected
