Abstract

Learning outcomes are influenced by many factors. Parent's attention, activeness learning, and independent learning are some of the factors that were related to the learning outcomes. This study aims to determine whether there is a positive and significant relationship between parent's attentions, activeness learning and independent learning with the learning outcomes of the eighth-grade students in the first semester of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta academic year 2016/2017. The population in this study were all eighth-grade students of the first semester of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta academic year 2016/2017 which consists of 7 classes with a number of 197 students. Random sampling techniques used to get class samples and collected VIII E as a sample that consists of 30 students. Techniques of data collection were conducted by questionnaire to parent's attention, learning activeness and learning independent. Being a test method for mathematics learning outcomes. Test instruments used validity and reliability. Prerequisite test analysis using normality test, independent, and linearity test. Hypothesis testing data analysis using simple linear regression analysis and multiple regression analysis and correlation. The results showed that there is a significant correlation among parents attention, learning activeness and learning independence with mathematics learning outcomes with Fcount  = 16,525 and Ftable = 2,98 so Fstat > Ftabel multiple correlation coefficient is 0,8099 and the multiple determination coefficient (R2) is 0,6559 while the multiple regression equation is , relatively contribution X1 = 4,3075% the relatively contribution X2 = 83,7543% the relatively contribution X3 = 11,9381%  and effective contribution X1 =2,8256% the effective contribution X2 = 54,9403%  the effective contribution X3 = 7,8311%

Abstract

Students often make mistakes in solving problems are the function of misconceptions, miscalculations and errors procedure. That's because students do not have the ability to understand the concepts, capabilities in the calculation and the ability to understand the procedure better. This research aims to determine the percentage of types of misconceptions, miscalculations, and procedural errors function procedure eighth-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Godean the academic year of 2016/2017. The research was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Godean in class VIII C that all students totaling 32. The selection of research subjects taken on the recommendation of teachers, selected class VIII C because this class has an average mathematics achievement is low. Data collection techniques in this research using the test method and the interview method. The instrument used was a problem in narrative form as much as 6 questions and interview guides students. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis techniques to identify each type of mistakes made by the students. The results show the average percentage of misconceptions made by students of 82,292% (very high), the percentage of miscalculations made by the students of 42,708% (medium), and the percentage of procedural errors made by the students of 67,708% (high ). Mistakes made by students of class VIII C SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Godean relatively the same: there is no answer, wrong in understanding and translating the question, in applying the formula to resolve the matter, one to operate the calculations, one in determining the final outcome, not coherently in writing step completion, incomplete in writing steps to resolve and does not use logical reasoning to draw conclusions

Abstract

The use of media in mathematics learning is used to assist students in understanding learning materials. The background of this development research is the absence of media that used in mathematics learning at SMP Muhammadiyah Seyegan and SMP Muhammadiyah Kasihan besides textbooks and worksheets as a learning resource. The purpose of this study was to develop learning media stop motion animation based on material tangent to the circle and to determine eligibility based on the assessment of experts and the students' responses. This research, the method used is Research and Development method. The subjects were expert lecturers, subject teachers, and students in grade VIII SMP and SMP Muhammadiyah Seyegan and SMP Muhammadiyah Kasihan. The object of this study is the learning media stop motion animation in the material tangent to the circle for grade VIII Junior High School. The stage of collecting data through direct observation, interviews, and questionnaires with research instruments such as questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is the analysis of qualitative data. The results showed that the developed learning media are included in the category of very decent (ideals percentage of 85.98%). Judging from the aspect of media, materials, and instructional media student responses are developed each get an average score of 89.5 respectively (criterion ideals 85.6%), 71.5 (percentage ideals 89.38%), and 57.85 (percentage ideals 82.64%). Thus mathematics learning media stop motion animation based on material circle tangent to class VIII SMP fit for use by students and teachers as a learning medium.

Abstract

The learning activity is still dominated by the teacher that makes students tending to be passive in participating in teaching and learning activity in the classroom. The students’ learning interest is low due to the students assume that mathematics is one of the difficult subjects, and it will affect the results of the students' mathematics learning. This research aims to find out the effectiveness of mathematics learning using the model of TeachingReciprocalof the students’ learning outcomes of 8class SMP Negeri 1 Sawangan Magelang regency Odd Semester Academic Year 2016/2017. The research population is all students of 8 class consisting of 6 classes. Sample is taken by using the sampling random technique of the classes and it is achieved by VIII B class as the experimental and VIII C as the control class. The data collecting technique is done by documentation and test method. The instrument used is the documentation paper of UTS value Odd Semester of 8 class students and the test question of learning outcomes. Data analysis techniques are hypothesis testing and precondition test of analysis including normality test and homogeneity test. The result of research shows (1)There are differences in the mathematics learning outcomes between students using the learning model of Teaching Reciprocal than students using the direct learning model. It is based on the first hypothesis test with a significance level of 5% and 61 freedom degree that it is achieved   = 2,38748 and  = 1,99996 then  rejected and  accepted. (2) The Learning Model of Teaching Reciprocal is more effective than the direct learning model on the results of students' mathematics learning. It is based on the second hypothesis test with a significance level of 5% and 61 freedom degree that it is achieved   = 2,38748 and  = 1,670385 then  rejected and  accepted.
