Abstract

Learning with discussion among friends in one table has been less effective. This condition makes the lowness of learning mathematics outcome. This research aims to determine whether there are differences outcome or not between using cooperative learning Pair Check (PC) type and using cooperative learning Think Pair Share (TPS) and comparing the effectiveness of cooperative learning Pair Check type and  Think Pair Share to the learning mathematics outcomes in class VII in second semester SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Gamping 2015/2016. The population in this research there are three class. Sampling takes two classes with a random sampling technique to the class. Collecting the data is done by the test method. Before analyzing the data, it takes the prerequisite test with contain normality test and homogeneity test. For testing the hypothesis of this research, it uses one side t-test with a significant level of 5%. The results of this research on a significant level of 5% and dk=72 show that there are differences in learning mathematics outcomes of the students who use cooperative learning model PC type and TPS type. It is shown by the value  and  which means  cooperative learning model PC type is more effective than the cooperative learning model TPS type to the learning mathematics outcomes of the students.  It is shown by the value of  and  which means.

Abstract

The conventional method in learning mathematics made the students passive to comprehend especially for the students 8 grade of SMP N 1 Rakit District of Banjarnegara. The purpose of this research was to improve the mathematics learning result of students through learning together (LT) type from the cooperative learning model. This research was Class action research (CAR). The subjects of this study were the first semester of eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Rakit in the academic year of 2016/2017 about 30 students. The object of this study was a cooperative learning model of learning Learning Together (LT) type. The data were collected through observation, interview, and final test cycle. The analysis of the data was used by descriptive qualitative data analysis. The results showed that the learning of mathematics through while of cooperative learning model of learning together (LT) type can improve students' mathematics learning results. This can be seen from the improvement score. In the first cycle, Most of the students got 72 by the percentage of students completed amount to 56.667%. it increased in the second cycle to 81.884 score with the percentage of students completed an amount about 96.667%.

Abstract

The research is conducted because the learning process only centered by the teacher so that the student’s ability is still not enough. The research aims to know the differences in the student’s ability for critical thinking. The learning process use probing – prompting learning model and live learning model then compare the effectiveness both of the model towards the student’s ability of critical thinking. The population of this research is VIII B, VIII D, and VIII F SMP N 1 Sedayu because the classes have the same ability. The sample was taken by a random sampling technique then VIII B was selected as the experiment class and VIII D as a control class. The design of the research is a posttest only control design. The technique of resource data use test. The instrument of resource data is problem description (posttest). The instrument test of resource data use validity test and reliability test. The technique of data analysis is a normal test, homogeny test, then hypothesis test with the first hypothesis test and second hypothesis test. The result of the hypothesis test with significant level 5% and dk = 60 show that : (1) , so there are differences in the student’s ability of critical thinking that use probing – prompting learning model and live learning model. (2)  dan  sehingga , so the student’s ability of critical thinking that uses probing – prompting learning model is more effective then use a live learning model.

Abstract

Limitation of learning resources is one factor that makes students difficult to understand a subject matter. One of the teaching materials that can help students' learning activities is modules. This study aims to develop the mathematics module that uses the contextual approach in sub-material the counting rules, permutations and combinations through think pair share strategies and to determine the appropriateness of the modules developed. The development procedure is adopted from the research and development that developed by Borg and Gall in Sugiyono (2014) including the step of identifying the potential and problems, collecting information, product designing, validation of product design, revising the product design, the pilot phase of products and product revision. Mathematics module developed based on the principals of contextual approach on Muslich, Mansur (2008). These products have been through the steps of revision based on advice and suggestions of media and subject matter experts as well as students' response to the module. The results showed from validations criteria and students' responses to the module. Based on an assessment by subject matter experts obtained an average score of 84 which satisfies good criteria, media experts obtained an average score of 93 which satisfies good criteria and results of students' response to the module also satisfy good criteria with an average score that is 110,21. These results mean the mathematics module is appropriate to use in the learning of mathematics.

Abstract

The learning model is still used for the submission of verbal / lectures make students who have the ability to listen to high would be effective, but the students who have poor listening skills will be difficult to understand the material presented. It is thought to make low yields mathematics learning. This study aims to determine whether there is a difference in learning outcomes of students learning math using TANDUR and expository models and assess the effectiveness of the model TANDUR and the model Expository towards learning outcomes in mathematics class VII SMP Negeri 3 Kasihanin the Academic Year 2015/2016. The population in this study there are five classes. Samples were taken two classes with the technique of random sampling of classes and class VII D was chosen as an experimental class and class VII B as the control class. The design of this research is the control-group posttest only design. Data collection techniques using documentation technique and test technique. Data collection instrument in the form of test results to learn. Test data collection instruments used validity, distinguishing features and reliability testing. Data were analyzed using analysis prerequisite tests including normality test and homogeneity, continued to test the hypothesis using the T-test. Results of research on the significant level of 5% and dk = 52 show that: (1) There are differences in students' mathematics learning outcomes using models TANDUR with mathematics learning outcomes of students who use the Expository models. This is indicated by the value of tcount = 2.4125 and ttable = 2.01025 so tcount>ttable, and (2) a model TANDUR more effective than Expository models on the results of students' mathematics learning. This is indicated by the value of tcount = 2.4125 and ttable= 1.67492 so tcount >ttable.

Abstract

Middle school math learning has many diverse issues, including the lack of school facilities and students' interest in learning mathematics courses, which are still low. This study aims to develop media-based interactive multimedia learning math using Adobe Flash CS6 and determine the feasibility of the learning media. This study using ADDIE development research. Subject trials in the development of instructional media consists of the validation test subjects and subjects of research. Subject of validation that media expert lecturers and subject matter experts Ahmad Dahlan University and teacher of mathematics majors of class XI IPA at SMAN 2 Banguntapan. The subjects were students of class XI SMA Negeri 2 Banguntapan. These data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. Analysis of data using qualitative data analysis is then converted into quantitative. As for the success criteria set out in this research is the minimum feasibility of the product is on the value of Agreed. Product development based on the development of mathematical learning media interactive multimedia using Adobe Flash CS6 on the subject of the enumeration rules High School Class XI Science majors are declared eligible to be used as a medium of learning based on assessment questionnaire with an average score 40.72727273 with the agreed categories. Based on these assessments, the multimedia learning of mathematics is fit for use as a medium of learning.

Abstract

The research aims to determine there are differences in mathematics learning outcomes between using model cooperative learning type Two Stay Two Stray and cooperative learning type Make a Match. And compare the effectiveness of model cooperative learning type two stay two stray and make a match in the VIII grade of Junior High School student of Muhammadiyah Boarding School Yogyakarta in the even semester academic year  2015/2016. This study uses a posttest-only control design. There is three class in the population of this study, samples were taken from two classes with random sampling techniques to the class. Data collection was conducted with the test model. The instrument used questions related to the subject of surface area and volume of the pyramid. Before analyzing data, there is a prerequisite test that consists of a normality test and a homogeneous test. To test the hypothesis in this study, the test was used one party with a significant level of 5%. The results of research on the significant level of 5% and dk = 64 indicates that: there are difference in the results of students mathematics leaning using cooperative learning model TSTS, and using cooperative learning Make a Match type. This is indicated by the value and  which mean and TSTS cooperative learning model is more effective than the cooperative learning model Make a Match type, against the mathematic learning student's results. Abstract

 This research was done because the results of students' mathematics learning is still relatively low. Students are reluctant to ask about the material they have not understood that the learning outcomes obtained less optimal. This research aims to determine the results of learning mathematics using of cooperative learning model type of NHT (Numbered Heads Together) toward mathematic learning of student grade VIII at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Minggir Sleman Regency of Even Semester in Academic Year of 2015/2016. This was design is Posttest-Only Control Design. The population in this research were students class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Minggir Sleman Regency. Samples of this research using random sampling techniques derived from class VIII B as an experimental class and VIII C as the control class. The data collection is done with the test method. Testinginstrumentusing validity test and reliability test. Data were analyzed before using hypothesis testing with t-test first using analysis prerequisite test including normality test, and homogeneity test Based on calculations by the significant level  and the degrees of freedom 49, we concluded that: (1) There are differences in learning outcomes of  students learning math using cooperative learning model type of NHT with learning using conventional learning model. This is indicated by the results of the first test of the hypothesis that and , so that . (2) The type of cooperative learning model NHT more effective than the conventional learning model. Abstract

The population in this study were eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Yogyakarta in the 2015/2016 academic year consisting of 5 classes. With the random sampling technique, class VII I was selected as the Structure Dyadic Method experimental class and class VII F as the Brain Gym experimental class. The design in this study uses factorial design. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and test methods. Questionnaire sheets are used to determine the level of student activity, while multiple-choice questions are used to find out the results of learning mathematics. The data collection instrument test uses a validity test and a reliability test. The data analysis technique used is the prerequisite test, normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing. Abstract

This research was conducted because students' mathematics learning outcomes were lack, the students had an opinion that mathematic was difficult and unpleasant, less active especially cooperation in learning, students perform other activities beyond teaching and learning strategies that teachers use less varied. This research is intended to find out the effectiveness of using cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) with type Course Review Horay (CRH) Toward The Mathematics Learning Outcome of the VIII Grade Students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Pundong In The First Semester of Academic Year 2016/2017. The population in this research were all the students of grade VIII students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Pundong in academic year 2016/2017 consist of six classes, VIII A, VIII B, VIII C, and VIII D. Samples were taken three classes using purposive sampling techniques, it is obtained class VIII B as an experimental class I, class VIII D as an experimental class II and class VIII C as a control class. The data analysis technique that is used to test the prerequisites including normality test with Chi-Square formula, homogeneity test with Bartlet formula, and test hypotheses including F test and Least Significant Different (LSD). The result of the significant level of 5% and db = (2,56) showed (1) there is a difference in the results of students’ learning mathematics that is taught by cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament, cooperative learning model type Course Review Horay and direct instruction learning model. It is evidenced by the value    and Ftable , as a result , so,  rejected, and (2) cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament and cooperative learning model type Course Review Horay are more effective than direct instruction learning model on students’ mathematics learning outcomes. It is shown with the LSD test with a significant level of 5% and 56 degrees of freedom obtained in the first case because and LSD , as a result  so,  is accepted and means that .
