Abstract

Dealing with the low learning motivation, the students who don’t have a good process of learning and peers that don’t support the learning activity are estimated relates to mathematics learning outcomes. This research is aimed to know ‘is there any positive and significant correlation between students learning motivation, students learning style and peers with mathematics learning outcomes in 8th-grade students in odd semester in SMP Negeri Berbah, Sleman Regency in academic year of 2016/2017. The population in this research is all students in class 8 which are spread in 4 classes, in odd semesters of SMP Negeri 2 Berbah Sleman Regency in the academic year of 2016/2017. Then, the sample of this research is taken from 8D class and 8A is as the tested class by using the Random Sampling technique. Data collecting techniques are test and nontest technique. Data collecting instruments are questionnaires. Instruments tested which used are validity test, difference test, and reliability test. The prerequisite test which is used is a normality test, linearity test, and independent test. Data analysis which is used to test the hypothesis is correlation analysis and linear regression analysis. The research result shows that there is a positive and significant correlation between students learning motivation, students learning style, and peers with mathematics learning outcomes, double correlation coefficient (  0,5562 with the regression equality , at 5 % of the significance level, is got  is  and  is , so . It is got that relative contribution of students learning motivation is 21,3092 %, relative contribution of students learning style is 71,4523 % and relative contribution of peers is 7,2385 % then, the effective contribution of the way of students learning is 6,5920%, effective contribution of students learning style is 22, 1038% and effective contribution of peers is 2,2392 %.

Abstract

Based on the information from SMA Negeri 1 Turi, student motivation in learning is still lacking, there are students who spoke with the classmate during the teaching and learning activities, as well as some students learning intensity is low. This study aims to determine whether there is a positive and significant relationship between motivation to learn, peers and learning intensity with mathematics learning outcomes in class X SMA Negeri 1 Turi Odd Semester of the school year 2016/2017. The study population was all students in grade X SMAN 1 Turi MIPA odd semester of the school year 2016/2017. The study was taking the  X MIPA 2 class as the research sample by random sampling technique toward the class. Data collection techniques in the form of technique tests and questionnaires. The research instrument test was using validity testing, different power testing, and reliability testing. Prasyarat test analysis included a normality test, independent test, linearity test. Analysis of the data for testing hypotheses was using correlation analysis and linear regression analysis. The results showed that there was a positive and significant correlation between motivation to learn, peers and intensity of learning with learning outcomes mathematics, with   , and the linear regression equation . The donations were measured relatively X1 = , X2 = , X3 =  and also effective contribution X1 = , X2 = , X3 = . This indicates that the peers (X2) have a greater relationship with mathematics learning outcomes compared to the study motivation (X1) with mathematics learning outcomes and learning intensity (X3) with mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of Student Activity Sheet (SAS) mathematics are using the curriculum 2013, particular in SMP Muhammadiyah 6 and 9 Yogyakarta as the learning process in the classroom. The purpose of this research is to develop a SAS based on curriculum 2013, determine eligibility based one matter expert assessment and teacher assessment, as well as student's response to SAS. The study was conducted through the model of Research and Development (R &D). Steps that passed include two aspects, namely the development of the SAS and its feasibility. SAS development includes: (a) collecting information (b) the designing of SAS (c) Validating SAS to the expert review by the mathematics teacher of SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Yogyakarta and SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta (d) revising the product. The feasibility of SAS include (a) trial test (b) data analysis (c) the feasibility of SAS. the subject's research was students SMP class VII. The results of research and development has developed the Student Activity Sheet (SAS) on the scale and comparison in class VII SMP based on the curriculum 2013. The results of matter experts assessment and teacher assessment on the obtained an average score of 82.5 with very good category, so the SAS can be declared feasible. The student's response to the SAS is included in very good categories indicated by an average score of 85.3225. These results indicate that the Student Activity Sheet (SAS) in the scale and comparison in classVII of SMP based on the curriculum 2013 can be used in the learning process.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the reasons student low mathematic result learning, are less active in learning, rare and shy to ask. Math as a difficult subject and learning model used by teachers less varried. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of cooperative learning model NHT, learning models jigsaw and the result learning mathematic in second grade MTs Muhammadiyah Karangkajen in first semester academic year 2016/2017. The population in this study were all students of class VII MTs Muhammadiyah Karangkajen in first semester of academic year 2016/2017 is divided into five classes totaling 150. Samples were taken 3 classes using random sampling techniques, derived  class VII D as an experimental class I, VII C class as the experimental class II, and VII A class as the control class. Data analysis techniques used for the prerequisite test including normality test with chi-square formula, bartlett homogeneity test by test, and test hypotheses include F test and significant raced different (LSD). Results of research on the significant level of 5% and db (2,87) show (1) there are differences in result learning of mathematics that uses model jigsaw, NHT learning model and conventional learning model. It is indicated with Fcount = 9,7078 > Ftable = 3,115 and (2) Cooperative learning NHT, jigsaw and more effective than conventional towards mathematics learning result. These results indicated by result of hypothesis testing 1-SD where the significant level of 5% and 87 degress of freedom is obtained in one case because of  then  accepted means . In case II  then  is rejected and > means , while in the case III   then  is rejected and dan  > means .

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of Student Activity Sheet (SAS) in the study of mathematics for students of class VIII SMP/MTs. The purpose of this research is to develop a SAS based problem, determine eligibility based on expert assessment and teacher assessment, as well as students' response to SAS. The study was conducted through the model of Research and Development(R &D). Steps that passed include two aspects, namely the development of the SAS and its feasibility. SAS development includes: (a) collecting information (b) the designing of SAS(c) Validating SAS to the expert review by the mathematics teacher of MTs N 2 Yogyakarta and SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Yogyakarta (d) revising the product. The feasibility of SAS include (a) trial test (b) data analysis(c) the feasibility of SAS. The subjects were students. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis to describe the inputs from expert assessment of products, SAS assessment by expert assessment of products, teachers and students' responses to the SAS based problem. The results of research and development has developed the Student Activity Sheet (SAS) on the circle in class VIII SMP/MTs based problem. The results of expert assessment and teacher assessment on the products obtained an average score of 75with good category, so the SAS can be declared feasible. The students' response to the SAS is included in very good categories indicated by an average score of 87, 7093335. These results indicate that the Student Activity Sheet (SAS) in the circle in class VIII of SMP/MTs based problems can be used in the learning process.
