Abstract

This research background is active less of VIII grade SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan Sleman on the semester academic year 2016/2017 in the learning mathematics. This research aims to increase students' activeness in the learning of mathematics using cooperative learning model type Team assisted individualization (TAI) class VIII Junior High School (SMP) Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan, Sleman semester academic even year 2016/2017. This research is a class act. The setting used is a class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan, district Sleman totaling 28 students. The study was conducted in two cycles of the first cycle and the second cycle, each cycle consisting of three meetings. The first cycle and the second cycle using cooperative learning model type TAI. Data collected by observation using observation sheet student learning activeness, and interviews. Analysis instrument using content validity. Analysis of the data used is descriptive qualitative. The result showed that using cooperative learning model type TAI can increase students' activeness in mathematics learning in class VIII student of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan the school year 2016/2017. This is evident from the observation of students' learning activities in each cycle. The average percentage of student activity observation on the first cycle, 54,16%, reached sufficient criteria. On the second cycle, it increased to 63,77% that reached both criteria. From interviews with students showed a positive response to the students learning activeness.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of teaching materials in electronic modules to help students learn independently. This development research aims to develop, find out the feasibility, and know the students' response to the mathematics e-module subject matter for high school class XI students based on the curriculum 2013 using assessment from material experts, media Experts student responses. This research is development research with ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) models that produce products in the form of mathematics e-module subject matter sequence for high school students of class XI curriculum 2013 using Kvisoft Flipbook Maker Pro Software. Subjects in this study were material experts, media experts, and class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Sewon Bantul and State Senior High School (SMA Negeri) 2 Ngaglik Sleman in the 2017/2018 Academic Year. The object of this study is the product of e-modules developed. This data collection technique is in the form of a questionnaire technique. The research data were obtained from questionnaires for media experts, material experts, and student responses. The data in this study were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively to determine the feasibility of the e-module developed and to find out the students' response to the e-modules developed. This study succeeded in developing Mathematical e-module subject matter for high school students based on the curriculum 2013. From the expert material assessment results, an average score of 92.3 was obtained with eligible criteria. The media expert assessment obtained an average score of 104.3 with very feasible criteria. The assessment of student responses obtained an average score of 74.4 with good criteria. These results indicate that the mathematics e-module subject matter sequence for high school students in class XI based on the curriculum 2013 is appropriate for the classroom's learning process.

Abstract

Low student learning outcomes are associated with many factors. The relationship between numerical ability, students' attitudes on a math lesson, and learning lines is possibly related to learning outcomes. This research aims to determine the presence or absence of a positive and significant relationship between numerical ability, students' attitudes on a math lesson, and learning lines to mathematics learning outcomes in students class VIII of Junior High School (SMP) Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta in Even Semester in Academic Year of 2016/2017. The population in this research was the students of VIII of SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta in 2016/2017, consisting of class VIII A, VIII B, VIII C, VIII D, VIII E, totaling 162 students. Class VIII E was selected as a class of research sample with a random sampling technique. The writer uses the questionnaire method to collect students' attitudes on math lessons and learning lines. The test method to get numerical ability data and math is resulting in learning. The research instrument: validity test, different power test, and reliability test. Test requirement analysis includes a test of normality, a test of linearity, and independence. The writer uses product-moment correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to analyze the data. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between numerical ability, students' attitudes on a math lesson, and learning lines with mathematics learning outcomes in students class VIII of SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta in Even Semester in Academic Year of 2016/2017. Abstract

Based on the author's observation, many students have difficulty in solving the story problem. This study aims to determine student errors and the causes of student error using the Polya method. Polya error analysis is a method used to analyze mistakes made by students with four stages. This research is qualitative research with a type of descriptive research. This research is the students of class VII-B State Junior High School (SMP N) 5 Banguntapan Bantul. The object of this research is the student's mistake in solving the problem based on Polya. Data collection techniques in this research are problem-solving and interview. According to Miles and Huberman, data analysis techniques using data analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that the types of students' mistakes made by the research subjects on solving problem question of social arithmetic form were 50% misconceptions, 65% for made a settlement plan, 70% for executed a settlement plan, and reviewed the process and results by 65%. The most common mistake is at the stage for executed a settlement plan. Factors that cause errors are made because students are not careful in problem-solving.

Abstract

The use of media in learning mathematics helps students understand mathematics, but learning media is still not available. This development research aims to produce an interactive learning media mathematics with contextual teaching and learning approach in the proportion of junior high school (SMP) class VII semesters. The resulting media is tested on students' feasibility and responses based on the content and objectives, instructional quality aspects, technical quality aspects, and instructional design aspects. The ADDIE development model covers five subjects: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The instruments used are (1) assessment questionnaire by material expert, (2) questionnaire by media expert, and (3) student assessment questionnaire. This study's subjects were students of SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Yogyakarta class VIIC and students of State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 4 Patuk class VIIB. Learning media developed in the form of CD (Compact Disk) Interactive contains SK and KD material comparison. The material on the interactive CD comes with an exercise question and evaluation question. The media is also equipped with audio, images, and navigation quickly understood and used by students. The quality of interactive learning media is seen from material experts' assessment with an average score of 3.62 or very good. While the assessment of media experts with a score of 3.71 or in the category of Very Good. In comparison, assessing the assessment by students with an average score of 3.18 or in the category of Good. The results show that the interactive learning media of mathematics with contextual teaching and learning approach the subject of proportion SMP class VII odd semester is feasible to be used in the learning process and get a positive response from the students.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the presence or absence of a positive and significant relationship between self-confidence, social interaction, and learning activeness. Mathematics Learning Outcomes in Students Class VII of State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 9 Yogyakarta in Even Semester in Academic Year of 2016/2017. The population in this research was the students of VII of SMP Negeri 9 Yogyakarta in the academic year of2016/2017, consisted of class  VIIA, VIIB, VIIC, VIID, VIIE, VIIF, totaling 203 students. Samples were taken from VII C as the research sample class and with the random sampling technique. The writer uses the questionnaire method to collect self-confidence, social interaction, and learning activeness and test method to get the resulting math results. Abstract

Low students' learning outcomes are related to many factors. Learning motivation, learning environment at home, and learning intensity are among them. This study aims to determine whether there are positive and significant relations between learning motivation, learning environment at home, and learning intensity and mathematics learning outcomes of grade VIII students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta in the even semester academic year of 2016/2017. This study's population were grade VIII students of Junior High School (SMP) Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta in the academic year of 2016/2017, consisting of grade VIII students class G and H with a total number of 66 students. A random sampling technique was applied to take the sample of this research, which is grade VIII students class G. The data on learning motivation, learning environment at home, and learning intensity were obtained through questionnaires. At the same time, the data of the mathematics learning outcomes were obtained through the test. The research instruments were tested using a validity test, differential test, and reliability test. Analysis prerequisite tests include normality, linearity, and independence test. Product moment and multiple linear regression analysis were used to analyze the data. The results show positive and significant relations between learning motivation, learning environment at home, learning intensity, and mathematics learning outcomes of grade VIII students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta in the even semester of the academic year of 2016/2017. The results are evident in  which is 4.8 > 2.9 with R = 0,6 dan R2 = 0,3 with  , with RC = 55,7%, RC = 23,3% and RC  EC %, EC and EC  = 6,8%.

Abstract

The process of learning mathematics in schools that are still lacking in training students' abilities in solving mathematical problems. Practice questions given are still not enough to train students' ability to solve math problems. Research on giving quizzes aims to improve student learning outcomes. This research is included in experimental research, which intends to determine the differences in students' motivation and mathematics learning outcomes who use quiz learning methods with scientific learning methods. This research was conducted at Junior High School (SMP) Muhammadiyah 2 Minggir, Sleman Regency, with research subjects being grade VII students of Even Semester SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Minggir Academic Year 2017/2018. The research instrument in the form of tests of mathematics learning outcomes in multiple-choice questions. Data analysis using analysis prerequisite test consisting of normality test and homogeneity test. Test hypotheses using an average test. Based on the average test on the test results of mathematics learning, the average value of the experimental class's mathematics learning outcomes was 76.190467. The average value of the mathematics learning outcomes of the control class was 66.84818. This shows differences in the mathematics learning outcomes of the seventh-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Minggir Sleman in the even semester of 2017/2018 school year using quiz learning methods with students' mathematics learning outcomes using conventional learning methods. The difference in the average value of learning outcomes of the experimental class and control class is 9,342287, with the average value of the experimental class is higher than the control class. This shows the quiz learning method is more effective in mathematics learning outcomes for students of class VII SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Minggir Kabupaten Sleman even semester 2017/2018 school year.

Abstract

Lack of mathematical communication and students' learning independence and low creativity become obstacles in achieving educational goals. One of the teaching materials that can help to achieve education goals is a module. These research aims are to develop, test the feasibility and know the student's response to the development of mathematics module based on the learning model of reciprocal teaching on the subject of equations and linear inequality of one variable. The type of research conducted is development research (R&D). The development mathematics module's research subjects are media expert, material expert, and some junior high school students (SMP)Muhammadiyah 1 Godean and State Junior High school (SMPN) 2 Tempel. This research object is the learning module of mathematics based on reciprocal teaching forSMPClassVIIin the sub-material Equations and Linear Inequality One Variable. The data collection techniques are based on interviews in both schools. The research instrument use questionnaires. The data from the research results are analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The qualitative data get from interviews, and the quantitative data get from Questionnaires. The research results show that media experts give scores of ratings had an average of 131.5 in excellent criteria; scores by material experts had an average of 133.33 that indicate very well criteria. The result of the student response instrument calculations had an average of 124.12 in very well criteria. Based on the calculation, the mathematics module is developed can be used in learning mathematics.

Abstract

The problem that underlies this research is the low value of learning outcomes of students, especially in class VII D. This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of students by using a realistic mathematics education approach to students of class VII D in State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 2 Bambanglipuro even semester 2017 Academic Year / 2018. This study includes Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings. Data collection techniques used are interviews and tests. Data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation, conclusion, and verification. The indicator of the success of this study is the achievement of increased learning outcomes of students. Learning outcomes of students are obtained from the work of solving the description questions. This success is shown by students' learning outcomes achieving an average good category (≥ 61%). Based on the study results using a realistic mathematics education approach in the quadrilateral sub-topic, there is an increase in students' learning outcomes. This is evident from the first cycle test results to the second cycle test, which has increased by 1.76%. In the first cycle, the average test results of students were 42.47. In the second cycle, the average test results of students were 43.22. However, there has been an increase in learning outcomes but has not met the indicators of success.
