Abstract

In the world of construction services, employee performance is one determinant in measuring the productivity of the success of the construction project. Therefore, the performance of the worker is determined on three variables: attitude, skills and knowledge. This contribution is to be a perspective that should be owned by construction workers today, many concerns that occur in the field, the workers experienced various difficulties in the face of performance, because it is very shallow mastered these three things, so the implementation in running the project encountered many obstacles that lead to productivity performance is greatly decreased. Standard competence of workers in this era are highly demanded on softskills (1) consisting of interpersonal skills (a) and intrapersonal skills (b) and hardskills (2) consisting of transforming character (a), change management (b), stress management (c), time management (d). so, that the variables can be evaluated and analyzed through decision systems (decision support system) to make the performance of workers more productive and efficient on target (cost, quality and time).

Abstract

Korean Wave called Hallyu is the most phenomenal global culture that spread around the world as well as Indonesia. Along with Hallyu syndrome, plastic surgery began to be known by the Korean fans in Indonesia. Participation of the media, in particular, information technology became an important key by the Korean wave invasion. Korean idol who is so pretty and charming make Korean fans want to emulate his idol. This study aims to discuss how the views of Indonesian young women within decision making undergo plastic surgery in beauty experience as the effect of the Korean wave invasion. Data were collected using a qualitative method by face-to-face interviews. Purposive sampling will be used for election respondent to Indonesian young women as Korean fans. The findings from this study show that Indonesian young women wish to have a face and body like a Korean idol. However, they did not even think to undergo plastic surgery. Culture, religious, and social expectations are the reason they do not undergo plastic surgery. They prefer to empower themselves through cosmetic skills in make-up and exercising. And it is used as a vocational guidance especially in beauty experience.

Abstract

The family is the smallest part in the education unit, the role of parents as educators of children is not stopped just when children start to school and handed over all their children to school education. While the curriculum in 2013, which is based morals, that assessment is not just a numbers, but also the record of the school to the child's progress. To find out how much parents knowledge of the curriculum that is being taken by their child, more research needs to be done, one method is a survey to the parents whose children are still at the high school / vocational randomly either public or private. Questions in the survey is the essence and purpose of the curriculum and the extent to which parents learn and understand the principle of the curriculum as well as participation in their children's education during school. From the results obtained that 83% of parents claimed to already know the competencies that will be owned by his son, and 80% of them have a desire to participate in curriculum development of their children. One of the obstacles they are to participate in the development is the time and their competence in curriculum development. So if parents can also be involved in the curriculum development should been socialized continuously from the school authorities and parents . Who are willing to help the development of the curriculum to get the formula of what competency is needed most and ready to work after graduation.

Abstract

Employees are one of the most important components owned by the organization in achieving the purpose. Success or failure an organization in exercised their activities related to the capacity of employees (competence) works in the organization. Therefore need to may system does performance evaluation of can give picture of the performance of employees. Abstract

The challenges of vocational education is to answer the changed faced by people nowadays as well as to prepare the labor in particular number and quality according to the needs of different sectors, especially industrial and service sector. To prepare the graduate of vocational high school who fulfills the qualification of labor market, then the competency of the graduates of vocational high school need to be regenerated and increased. This research is to analyze the influence of entrepreneurships education and work training to students’ entrepreneur attitude. Students’ entrepreneur attitude can be seen from self-confidence aspect, oriented on task and result, risk takers, leaderships, originality and future oriented. Data was collected from 113 students at SMK N 2 Tondano by doing proportional sampling technique. The result of the research found that students’ entrepreneur attitude can be shaped through entrepreneurship education at school and work training or take apprentice programs outside of schools.

Abstract

Difficulties of learning mathematics, especially basic arithmetic like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, most commonly found in children of elementary school. The material covering basic arithmetic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division began to be taught to children aged 6-9 years that is between grades 1st to 3rd of elementary school. The research’s goals are developing interesting gameplay and interactive games as media learning of arithmetic for elementary school students in grade 1st to 3rd. Development of gameplay is expected to increase the interest of elementary school students on the concept of arithmetic and it will have implications for the success of teaching and learning arithmetic concepts for students. "Power Egg" is an interactive educational game. The game is designed based on the needs of gameplay by adding motoric exercises with the utilization of Kinect VR technology as input media. The game users target was Elementary Schools Students grade 1st to 3rd. The results of game testing showed that all students enjoy the games and 96% of students want to try the game again. After playing this game, the evaluation results of arithmetic material tested to thirty elementary school students showed an increase up to 8.8% compared to the evaluation before the students run the game.

Abstract

Education is functioned to prepare human to compete in overcoming various challenges. One of challenge faced by Indonesian nation is natural disaster. The effective method to reduce the risk of natural disaster (disaster mitigation) is by enhancing understanding of disaster in each individual.  Aceh Tsunami Museum (ATM) is one of important site which is build to remember the big disaster event which happened in 2004 in Aceh and as disaster learning source.  This study is aimed to find out the influence of ATM utilization in enhancing students’ understanding of disaster, by using outdoor study method (visit ATM) and audio visual media (Film with disaster themed). The research design is Experimental quasi. Sample of this study are students of class X-2 IS and X-3 IS with total of 57 students. Data is obtained from literature study, observation, test, questionnaire, and documentary study. The result showed that utilizing ATM by outdoor study method can better enhance understanding of disaster compared to audio visual media. Constructivism learning approach can create more meaningful learning.  Teachers are suggested to apply constructivism learning approach in learning process.
