Abstract

Land use is primarily residential zone uninhabitable, land units that have a large slope soil layer with low carrying capacity of the soil and rock that is not stable, less vegetative is an area that is prone to landslides. The land use changes and continuously can lead to the use of space be not as intended, many catastrophic events that arise due to changes in land use. Settlements built around the hills are generally less concerned about the stability of the slope, and the structure of rocks, from the geological processes that occur in the area and did not realize the potential danger of landslides that any time would threaten life and property. As with settlement Bakti Persada Indah Housing construction in Semarang Ngaliyan hill temple in Industrial Area. Based on this, it felt quite relevant location for research. This study uses a case study approach as well as on settlement construction in the residential hills of BPI in Block Q village location Purwoyoso Ngaliyan District of Semarang, in his review of the impact of land suitability can cause vulnerability to landslides. From the analysis of land suitability can be stated that the residential hill area BPI Village location Purwoyoso Ngaliyan District of Semarang to residential areas with a low density of the suitability of land is still appropriate.Keywords: evaluation, land suitability, settlements.

Abstract

Making of batik stamp conventionally can only be done by experts in order to form a opper ribbon to be batik image as planned according to the designed batik. Time to createeach batik stamp could be four weeks, so the price is expensive. Constraints of time and theexpensive prices for the process of making batik stamp are likely to be overcome by the application of milling machine 3 axis CNC router. The aim of this study was to analyze the design of batik stamp made of aluminum plate using CNC milling machines Router 3 Axis viewed from the aspect of technology, economics, and human resources.The method applied is enginering design approach that includes (1) identification of design considerations: batik images that are complex and unique, material of the stamp, long processing time,  expensive price, and the process of batik tasting; (2) The application of CNC milling machine router 3 axis: design of batik stamp made from aluminum plate,engineering applications software coreldraw, aspire vectric, mach-3, and the manufacture of batik stamp with CNC milling machines, analyzes the results of batik stamp regaring technological aspects, economic, and human resources. The results of this study indicate that the batik stamp made from aluminum plate using CNC milling machines have the technological and economic feasibilities. Transition of making stamped batik conventionally to applications of router axis CNC milling machines for batik communities still constrained by social and cultural issues.Keywords: CNC milling machine, batik stamp, engineering software

Abstract

Execution of a construction project requires a systematic and well-planned scheduling so that the project can be run in accordance with the plans that have been planned. Unfavorable scheduling system can cause the project to be inefficient. Execution of a construction project often needs to accelerate the duration of the project which resulted in the addition of indirect costs. Every effort to expedite the implementation of the project in general will result in increased project costs. By increasing the working hours can speed execution time, but the cost for that would be more expensive. This provides the necessary conditions so that the business dilemma that the project can be completed with optimum cost and time. Cost-time optimization needs to be done to determine which activities should be accelerated and how the duration of the acceleration due to the acceleration that the incremental cost to a minimum. The intention and purpose of this research is to accelerate the execution time by using the method of CPM overtime, so we get the optimal time and cost. This research method by forming a linear equation of the trajectory of the crisis and then analyzed by linier program LINDO. The results  on the Rehabilitation Project DI Sidorejo are is 161 days with optimum total cost of Rp 3,733,520,010.00, resulting in cost efficiency of Rp 10,480,990.00 of the normal cost Rp 3,744,001,000.00 or 0.28%, project duration of 19 days sooner than the normal time of 180 days or 10.56% Cost efficiency occurs because the direct cost necessary to speed up the project implementation period is smaller than the reduction in overhead costs.Keywords: acceleration, time, execution,  project.

Abstract

Pressing machine is used for pressing castor seeds (Ricinus communis ) to be castor oil that  used as an alternative fuel. Making pressing machine have been selected from several designs, just by  a gasoline motor elected, the selection of materials and the determination  some component based on laboratory test and theoretical calculations. Also discussed about the process of working, assembly, financing, outcomes of designing and maintenance,  the results of designing and making for castor seed of 9.65 kg capacity which can be processed in one hour, and the dimensions of the machine with a length of 900 mm, width 800 mm, height 800 mm with 5.5 HP power driven by gasoline motor.Key words :  Pressing machine, castor seed, and gasoline motor.

Abstract

Philosophically, sources potencial disaster accur from the natural activities of hydrological cyclus and vulcanical / tectonical (such as flood, earthquake, landslide, tsunami, vulcano eruption and so on) and human activities. Interaction in between natural and human will cause the magnitude of the disaster in various effects. How will the human and stake holder respond and prepare for the impacts of the disaster depend on the humans themself. Emergency operation and disaster relief action would be largerly concerned with the planning phase of disaster preparedness and should be done by all the stake holder and also necessary to be back up by legislative at national, regional and local levels to enable such planning to proceed, the warning communication, preparation for disaster fighting and for evacuation of people from danger areas. This writes is concerned with emergency phase when preparedness plans are brought into action. There are two main particular components, which are: 1. Emergency Operation involving the whole organization for disaster preparedness with all stake holder concerns and 2. Disaster Relief covering the action to be taken in order to bring relief to stricken areas. It is convinient to consider these two components separately although they are in fact highly independent. Both components will be described in their own settings represent the fullfilment of planning in the aim of sustainable achivement..Key Word : emergency operation and disaster relief, stake holder respond and preparedness.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education in schools was directly related to the students as learners and teachers as educators, and it could be seen from the performance of students learning. In an effort to improve student performance at SMP Negeri 1 Cawas, there are students who are less enthusiastic in learning and student performance still does not appear as expected. To improve student performance at SMP Negeri 1 Cawas, CTL learning methods (Contextual Teaching and Learning) could be implemented. This research aimed to describe the efforts of educators in implementing the CTL method to improve student learning performance in the learning material concept of life organization in class VII C SMP Negeri 1 Cawas academic year 2016/2017. The research was conducted in class VII C SMP Negeri 1 Cawas with 32 students, from June until December 2013. The focus of this research was the application of CTL method in learning material of life organization concept. Class Action Research used two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four steps i.e planning, action, observation and reflection. Once it’s done, then proceeded to discussion and conclusion drawing. The results of this research showed an increase in student’s performance, as seen in observed indicators of average scores of student’s learning test and percentage of completeness , proved by the scores obtained from the initial conditions, cycle I, and cycle II  has increased significantly. The average scores has increased from 59,37 to 79,53. On the other hand, the percentage of completeness has increased from 15,62% to 90,62%. Use of CTL method can helps teacher improving student performance, particularly in learning. This learning process requires teachers to be more active in class once the materials given to the students. This method also able to minimize the difficulties often faced by teachers in the learning process. As suggestions, teacher need to be more creative and innovative in creating variation of learning methods. Teachers are also need to be more actively involved, to enable the synergies between implemented learning methods with the quality of student output.Keyword : Learning Performance, CTL method, Material of Life Organization Concept.

Abstract

Coconut shell charcoal is one of the alternative materials environmentally friendly energy. The process of making briquettes made several stages, namely, coconut shell charcoal is made by way of  oven manually through later in the drum and closed until there is little ventilation in the charcoal drum. The next process of charcoal produced using diskmil and further make powder  coconut shell flour that has been filtered then mixed with 2.5% starch glue from coconut shell flour. After the ingredients are mixed evenly, then put into molds briquettes and then performed and the drying oven. This research aims to design and print tool making coconut shell charcoal briquettes with an automated system with pneumatic drive to improve the productivity of industrial briquettes. Display devices are planned and made briquettes have a production capacity of 36 briquettes / min size briquette diameter 30 mm, height 14 mm. Briquettes press tool has dimensions of 400 mm long, 300 mm wide, 650 mm high and 30 mm diameter, height (11-14) mm, capable of withstanding a load of 933.3 N at a temperature of 200oC for 22 minutes.Keywords: coconut shell charcoal briquets, Pneumatic

Abstract

Boarding house in urban development, especially adjacent to the campus is the potential, proven over the years similar businesses increasingly widespread, in the management of a persons generally done as a byproduct of domestic life that at first only as a sideline activity or as a social activity, but as with the progress of time and economic demands, then the business has become a boarding house and a promising business venture, in which the manager has dared to invest, to build him a place which is used as a boarding house business, and by taking a business loan in the bank as additional capital, because in fact the reality is a business that has long-term viability, the results of the economic analysis with the assumption of 20 years is a decent effort and has resulted in the value of profit with (NPV) = Rp.25.109.271, with a value of (BCR) = 1.05 with (IRR) = 15.822 %, payback (break even point) is reached at the age of 15.121 years running businesses. With 16 years already achieved payback, based on the assumption that the land is already available, while building and operating costs obtained with a bank loan. with the results of the economic analysis of the above-mentioned operations perspective boarding house enough to use as a sideline in which management is simple and easy.Keywords: Boarding House, investments, sideline, campus.
