Abstract

The present for green campus in University of PGRI Semarang is not only emphasizing on greening the campus, but also green living lifestyle that is green in everyday life. The concept of recycling for garbage which commonly referred as the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) is solution that can be considered, so that the economic value contained in garbage can be utilized. This study aims to analyze the volume and composition of waste from the existing condition of the operational techniques of waste management to optimize its development prospects through an action plan on the campus of the University of PGRI 3, Bendan Duwur Semarang. Data collection methods used were interview, observation and simple random sampling. The data is analyzed qualitative descriptively. The results showed that the calculation of the average volume of waste resulting from activities that occur on campus 3 Bendan Duwur UPGRIS is mostly obtained as much as 88% category leaves, twigs litter composition of 4.5%, 4.45% waste paper and plastic waste 2.51%. Largely organic waste, because at this location there are many teak trees. The amount of inorganic waste is very small because that place is not exclusively used for all lectures, but it mostly used for laboratory activities. From the analysis, it will be designed an action plan for waste management on campus 3 Bendan Duwur PGRI University, including the separation process waste from its source, measurement of waste generation and waste composition continuously, design of technology for the processing of organic waste appropriately therefore produce economic value product.Keyword : garbage, 3R, generation volume, the action plan.

Abstract

The process of bending steel hull plate was needed to form a body vessel in accordance with the outline plan drawings (body plan) in order to obtain the form that streamlines the hull. This bending process can be done with the cold and the heating method of lines (line heating). Bending line heating method is very beneficial economically, but have several problems, especially in setting the proper heating temperature in the heating process of his line. Heating is provided when line heating the plate hardness value can be changed. This study aims to analyze the influence of cold bending and line heating to changes : hardness value of material. The research method is a laboratory experiment is conducted using the test object (specimen) plate steel AISI-E2512, which treated the cold bending and bending line heating using three kinds of bending radius of  R.67, R.100, R.133 and hardness testing method Rockwell. The result showed that the treatment process of line heating causes an increase in hardness values of specimens are on average 14.31% and specimens only in cold bending hardness value increased by an average 9.04% of the normal plate hardness conditions.Keywords: Bending line heating, Hardness value

Abstract

Ginger (Zingiber officinale Rosc.) is one of the agricultural commodities such as spice plants that have high economic value. Drying ginger is one way to improve the product quality with a lower moisture content materials. This research was carried out by using a tray dryer with drying temperature are 40oC, 50oC and 60oC. The type of the dried ginger are red ginger, small ginger and big ginger. Sample is peeled before and cut to produce a thickness of sample 1,5cm, 1 cm and 0,5cm. After drying for 4hours, that known the drying rate increases with an increase in drying temperature. Drying rateis also influenced by the surface area of the sample ginger. The best drying rate obtained from ginger samples with a thickness of 0,5 cm. Three thin-layer drying models are used to compare the rate of moisture rate modeling with moisture rate experiments. Pag emodel is a model of a thin layer which can prove that the moisture rate modelling and moisture rate experiment has the best statistical correlation. Drying will cause a change in color, texture and shape of the sample. Abstract

The employee maintenance in human resource management (HRM) is an effort either to raise or to maintain physically and mentally the employee condition and attitude in order to be always loyal and to carry out the job productively for supporting the achievement of the company objectives. Thereby great attention must be seriously given to the employee maintenance, since less attention will consequently decrease the working motivation, attitude, loyalty, discipline, and will also increase the absence and the turnover, so that will weaken in supporting the achievement of the company objectives. The success of a company in achieving its objectives is strongly determined by the existence of the employee, so that is required to always keep up the guard and the maintainance of the employee in order to make them feel comfortable, constantly endure, and do the job well. The employee maintenance can be implemented effectively when based on the benefit and efficiency, the need and satisfaction, the equity and fairness, the legal regulation, and the company capability. Some methods in implementing the employee maintenance are such as the two-way communication, the incentive reward, the employee benefit, the safety and health insurance, and the industrial relation..Keywords: employee maintenance, management, human resource.

Abstract

Lecturers are professional educators and scientists with the main task of transforming, through the Science and Technology Education, Research, and Community Service. This study aims to determine the level of service each polytechnic lecturers in professional development in the implementation of Tridharma college. The research was conducted on four Polytechnic. Samples was determined using stratified random sampling technique. Data collection instrument used was a questionnaire. The results showed (1) the level of service Polines, PIP and Politekes in the professional development of lecturers in all areas A (Education and teaching), B (Research), C (Community Service), D (Supporting) category is very adequate and sufficient more of 50%; (2). Polimarin service level in the professional development of lecturers in all areas A (Education and teaching), B (Research), C (Community Service), D (Supporting) category is very adequate and sufficient less than 50%; (3). Abstract

Rework can not be separated from the world of construction. It is rare, if not impossible, to meet not rework the implementation of a construction project. Rework can have a negative impact on performance and productivity, both consultants and contractors. In addition, as described several sources, rework is one of the major contributors to cost overruns and project delays. The impact of the direct costs arising out significantly. In addition to direct costs, rework is also an indirect impact. Administrative costs (such as overhead and paperwork) and declining productivity, motivation and morale of workers and personnel are few examples of these indirect effects. In Indonesia alone, rework has been indicated as the second leading cause of loss of productivity, especially for workers, and is a frequent problem arising in the design and construction work and project delays. Taking into account that the adverse effects of a given large enough, then efforts to reduce rework in the construction phase is indispensable. However, achieving this goal will not work properly if the business is sporadic, without first studying its causes.Keywords : rework, document design, construction, quality management, human resources.
