Abstract

Soil with a high value of shrinkage, the water is very influential on physical and mechanical behavior of the soil (Das, 1994). Expansive clay generally have less favorable properties such as low dry density (gdmax), low California Bearing Ratio (CBR), low shear strength, and tall swelling. Nature is what causes the often broken pavement repairs even though frequent pavement structure. Road conditions in the Sendang Mulyo also experiencing the same thing that is quickly damaged although often performed repairs on the road surface layer. To problem solve these issues one way or the method used is to improve the quality of the original soil (stabilization). This research was conducted to find out more about the effect.  of stabilizing agent husk ash with lime and magnitude of the carrying capacity (CBR), and swelling soil. Laboratory testing includes test compaction, CBR and soil swelling. Addition of rice husk ash percentage varies from 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%. While the addition of lime percentage varies from 5%, 8% and 10%. In the research showed that the addition of lime and rice husk ash clay has a tendency to increase the density of the soil, good soil CBR value on condition without soaking or by immersion, and can reduce swelling soil. This condition occurs in clay mixed with rice husk ash 20% and 10% limestone which produces CBR value of 20.86% and 1.59% swelling.Keywords: stabilization, compaction, CBR, Swell

Abstract

AutoCAD® widely used as computered drawing and designing tools. AutoCAD® also have ability doing a  calculation and then present the result as automation drawing technique. This will run by coding all of manual task in the form of program with Visual LISP language.  The facility of editing and compiling for Visual LISP is attached in AutoCAD®. The Visual LISP code applicable to design and make drawing work of vehicle components as mass product.  The hoisterous of assembling of car by student of  Vocational Senior High School in Indonesia  giving opportunity for himself to design the vehicle components. Visual LISP will short a design time, because calculations and drawings will automatically done. There is no materials content of Visual LISP programming in the Lesson Plan of   Vocational Senior High School in Indonesia, so it is an opportunity to introduce to some of teacher of  Vocational Senior High School  in Semarang.  The introduce of Visual LISP programming was conducted  on 1st and 15th of June 2013,  followed  by 40 teachers as participants. Result of evaluation  from participants  was  67% expressing very agree and 33% expressing to agree that technology accepted represent matter newly; 33,3% expressing very agree and 55,4% expressing to agree if contents of  Visual LISP programming continued for the others; dissimilar opportunity. Abstract

Waste sawn wood workshop practice POLINES is the waste generated from the waste due to the activity of the sawmill, this garbage is quite a lot and often cause problems in management, regular cope with burnt which eventually lead to air pollution, and pollution due to ash that can be carried by angin.Penelitian this aims to assess the sawn wood waste used as aggregate in the manufacture of cement bricks, useful things of this study is to provide a solution to the waste problem sawn wood, brick and creating products that are cheap so it can reduce the cost of construction perumahan.Hasil research suggests that sawn wood can be used as materials for cement bricks, cement bricks in terms of the severity of the aggregate of sawn timber belonging cukuo brick weighs about 1100 grams lighter which is equal to the brick or ceramic circulating in Semarang (Supardjo Research, 2002).Keywords: Waste wood workshop practice POLINES, Batako.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the students skills in appreciating the short story in the students of class XI MM 1 SMK Negeri 1 Klaten in 2017 / 2018. The subject of the research is the students of class XI MM 1 SMK Negeri 1 Klaten which is 35 students. Data collection techniques are observation / observation and written test. The research used cycle twice as many as cycle I and II with planning, action, observation and reflection. Data analysis technique using percentage and mean then compared / yield compared to each cycle. The results showed that through the implementation of cooperative learning model of Cooperative integrated reading and Composition (CIRC) model can improve students learning achievement on competency standard "literary elements of literature" for students of class XI MM 1 SMK Negeri 1 Klaten in the even semester of 2017 / 2018. This is shown by the results of the discussion: which shows the increase in yield from cycle to cycle as follows: The lowest value increases 50%  from 40 to 80, the highest value increases 5.5% from 85 to 95, the mean value increases 24% from 65.2 to 85 , 53 and the completeness rose from 82%  to 100%.Keyword : Short story Appreciation, Cooperative Integrated Reading and Com position Method.

Abstract

Tumbu sugar (brown sugar cane) is sugar produced from sugar cane moulding tumbu done traditionally by small scala industrty of brown sugar cane. Because there is no touch technology, the brown sugar cane low quality (second grade). Improving the quality of brown sugar cane be first quality have done through sulfitation method, but the main obstacle is sulphurous acid (H2SO3) is not available on the market, should produce in the laboratory. Then do the upgrading through fosfatation or method, used phosphoricacid that is readily availablein the market. In this first year MP3EI research, to develop a method of making brown sugar cane through fosfatation and analyze financial feasibility tobe implemented in small scala industry of brown sugar cane, but on this occasion no financial studies. The procedure is as follows: (1) the results ofthe milling of sugar cane juice is filtered dirty, discarded fiber(2) clean juice is heated in the open pan large capacity of 80-100 kg at a temperature of 55o–65oC, (3) mixed with calcium oxide to be pH8.0 then added phosphoric acid to neutral pH7.0 and boiled, (4) put a separator vessel and stirred until the dirt settles, (5) clean juice then matured or heated in a open  pan until at 100o C, (6) mature juice or liguor is poured into the mold, to solidify into brown sugar (tumbu sugar). The resulting brown sugar quality was analyzed by: (1) water content, (2) the sucrose content, (3) glucose content, (4) color, and (5) the weight of brown sugar cane and sugar cane juice ratio. Abstract

This study aims to determine the kind of big impact aluminium 7075 T351, and prove material temperature between  – 8 oC to 100 oC there was no significant difference in shock loads. Testing was conducted using Charpy, the sample size and temperature variations. Variation in the sample size standard ASTM E23, while the corresponding temperature variations not the temperature of the load shock. Large impact loads generated 0,24705828 Joule/mm2 and its potential energy 20,175625 Joule. Then based on the temperature and the load shows that the temperature with impact loads no significant correlation.Keywords: impact, charpy, aluminium 7075 T35

Abstract

In Indonesia, a lot of cultural heritage made of metal found under water in the form of a shipwreck, cannons, anchors and even submarines. Metal is the material that is prone to damage due to corrosion. Metals are submerged in sea water will corrosion rate at high speed. Cathodic protection system is a way of preventing corrosion with an efficient control of the redox potential and not destructive. Sacrificial anode round method is a cathodic protection system is more practical applied to cultural heritage made of metal found under water. The application field is selected on the steel ship that sank in 1960 in the waters of Karimunjawa, Jepara. The metal used as a sacrificial anode is zinc alloy. Measurement data is resistance, potential and electric current generated in the sacrificial anode zinc alloy and steel ship with outboard boats carried on the location of the shipwreck. Measurements were made with a multimeter, voltmeter and ampere meter. From the calculation, it can be concluded that the cathodic protection system to prevent corrosion of the steel ship that sank as objects of cultural heritage with an area of 1436.61 m2 within 7 (seven) years requires zinc alloy sacrificial anodes as heavy as 485 kg.Keywords: shipwreck, cathodic protection, cultural heritage

Abstract

The process of cutting material is reshaped by cutting. Non conventional cutting process is needed to overcome the shortcomings in the previous process is conventional. For ceramic type material that has properties; hard, strong and setabil at high temperatures, but brittle and easily broken or cracked. Emphasis on the brittle material resulted in local crack follow devormasi elastic. With the abrasive water jet machining (AWJM) technology is cutting the material with tap 4.2 bar mixture of 70% water and 30% abrasive able to overcome the shortcomings of conventional process.Keywords: AWJM, cutting of ceramic materials

Abstract

Traffic accidents on the road is an event that is unexpected and unintended , involving a vehicle with or without other road users , resulting in loss of life or loss of property (PP 43/93 Section 93). Traffic accidents can be: 1) the victim died (fatal), 2) severe injuries (serious injury), and 3) minor injuries (slight injury). The occurrence of road traffic accidents in urban areas can be identified there are several main factors are: human (driver, pedestrian), vehicle, road and environment. Conditions for each category of causes of traffic accidents on the road is different. Knowledge of the characteristics of the three factors causing the accident is required in an attempt to decrease the rate of occurrence of accidents on the highway. Pamungkas, NS, in his writings mentions that most of the accidents on the highway Surabaya-Gempol caused by human factors (63.09 %). The vehicle factors accounted for 28.33 %, while road and environmental factors accounted for 8.58 %. Knowledge of the behavior of motorists who need to be understood to include the characteristics of the drive, sensing, and perception and reaction. Keywords : accident, characteristics, sensing, perception and reaction

Abstract

The purpose of analyzing this is to analyze Cash Flow Statement at Pemerintah Kabupaten Demak for fiscal year 2008-2009 with using the growth of cash flow analysis and free cash flow analysis. The collection of data derived from Dinas Pengelolaan Keuangan dan Kekayaan Daerah in Pemerintah Kabupaten Demak that is by interview and literature study. Writing method used is the method of data description and exposition. Description Of the method used to find a general overview of Pemerintah Kabupaten Demak and Dinas Pengelolaan Keuangan dan Kekayaan Daerah, while the method of Exposition in the writing of data is to analyze the cash flow statement of the fiscal Year 2008-2009 in Pemerintah Kabupaten Demak. The results show that the growth of cash flow for each of the exiting cash flow activity in Cash Flow Statement at Pemerintah Kabupaten Demak is have good performance of cash financial, where as calculation of free cash flow is produce that have increase in financial performance on year 2009 than in year 2008.Keywords: Cash Flow Statement, Cash Flow Growth Analysis, and Free Cash Flow Analysis.
