Abstract

Joint life insurance is life insurance whose premium payments end at the first death of one of the insureds. This study aims to calculate the value of premium reserves using the Zillmer and Illinois methods for two insureds with data obtained from PT. Allianz where the insured is 33 and 29 years old with a protection period of 15 years, a premium payment period of 10 years. The Zillmer method uses prospective calculations as a basis for calculations that do not depend on the term of the product used, while the Illinois method is part of the prospective method by limiting costs charged to insurance participants with a limit of 20 years of payment. The results of this study are the value of premiums and premium reserves using the Zillmer and Illinois methods in this study are greater than the value of premiums and premium reserves from PT. Allianz. In the first year, the premium reserve value for the Zillmer method is IDR 80.005.964 while for the Illinois method is IDR 62.902.458 where the reserve value for the following year always increases with the reserve value for the Zillmer method being greater than the Illinois method. The premium reserves for the Zillmer and Illinois methods at the end of the year have the same value as the compensation value of IDR 1.130.000.000, which means that the insurance company is ready to provide compensation as much as promised to insurance participants.

Abstract

In this paper, we extend the capability of a newly developed numerical scheme based on our preceding linear conformal and non-conformal finite element methods (FEM) to study 2D shallow water equations (SWE) with various boundaries. Unlike usual approach, we approximate the unknown in a staggered grid due to the use of linear alternating basis. Here, the free surface is approximated using a conformal while the velocity potential is approximated using a non-conformal linear basis. As a result, the varational problem must be reformulated. The resulting scheme is a ODE system which is easy to solve by any time integration method. Therefore, our method is staggered in space, explicit, flexible and simple to implement. The simulation results show that the flexibility of the scheme can be interpreted as the successful use of various boundary conditions. Abstract

Soft set theory is seen as an effective mathematical tool in solving problems involving uncertainty, and has been applied in many theoretical and practical areas since its introduction. The basic concept of the theory is soft set operations. In this context, in this paper, a new kind of soft set operations called complementary extended soft set operation is defined in order to contribute to the theory. The properties of the operation are examined in detail together with its distributions over other soft set operations in order to obtain the relationship between complementary extended intersection operation and the others. We demonstrate that the collection of soft sets over with a fixed parameter set, along with the complementary extended intersection operation and other certain types of soft sets, form many well-known and important algebraic structures in classical algebra, including semiring, hemiring, Boolean ring, Boolean Algebra, De Morgan Algebra, Kleene Algebra, and Stone Algebra.

Abstract

Technological advances affect human life, one of which is in the field of trade, namely the existence of an online buying and selling system through e-commerce. The results of research conducted by Ipsos at the end of 2021 on the competition of several e-commerce proved that Shopee is the most popular and widely used e-commerce by the people of Indonesia. This is evident from the quality of Shopee services considered good by consumers so that increase consumer interest and motivation to shop at Shopee and consumer loyalty to Shopee. Therefore, this study aims to determine whether there is an influence of Shopee service quality on shopping motivation and consumer loyalty. To answer the purpose of this study, a hierarchical structural equation modeling (SEM) method was used. Based on the design of the research model and the results of the structural model analysis in the study, it was proven that the service quality construct can explain the shopping motivation construct by 46,3%, while the service quality construct can explain the consumer loyalty construct by 36,5%. Thus, it can be concluded that the quality of service affects shopping motivation and consumer loyalty.

Abstract

Information about inflation plays important role in economic policy. The government of the Republic Indonesia has put a great deal of effort to control inflation rate. The aims of this research are to forecast Indonesia’s inflation rate using deep auto-regressive networks and to compare it with other models such as deep state space, simple feed forward, and naïve seasonal. In this study we compare eighteen deep au-toregressive networks. Each model differs only in its hyperparameters settings such as the number of epochs, the number of layers, the number of cells, and the number of batch sizes. In order to check for consistency each model is replicated ten times. In total there are 180 runs for each of configuration including the replication. The results show that the deep autoregressive model with 50 epochs, 4 layers, 40 cells, 32 batch sizes produces the smallest root mean squared error at 0.218565. This root mean squared error also the smallest among the other models such as deep state space (0.28734), simple feed forward (0.350449), and naïve seasonal (0.336056). In conclusion, the median forecasts fluctuates but below 1 percent.

Abstract

In most cases, clinicians do not use the ICD-10 standard established by the WHO for diagnosing diseases. These issues may result in outcomes that are undesirable from the standpoints of patient safety and the law. The WHO ICD-10 standard collection of diagnoses that can’t be effectively searched using MySQL’s native search mechanism. Therefore, in order to automatically produce several keywords for each ICD-10 code, academics are interested in analyzing the natural language analysis of WHO ICD-10 data. When diagnosing illnesses, it is envisaged that the availability of numerous types of keywords can lead to more fruitful search results. Natural language analysis, a technique for removing stop words from sentences and simultaneously assessing the semantics of the language from which the keywords will be extracted, makes it possible to do this. Abstract

This study aimed to predict the spread of the Covid-19 virus in Maluku Province using the fourth-order Runge-Kutta method. The mathematical model of the spread of the Covid-19 virus is a system of differential equations which includes Susceptible (S) variables, namely human subpopulations that are susceptible to Covid-19 virus infection, Infected (I), namely human subpopulations infected with the Covid-19 virus, Recovered (R) namely subpopulation of people who have recovered and Vaccination (V) namely a subpopulation that has been vaccinated and is immune to the Covid-19 virus, used as initial values. The values of are parameter values that are numerically solved by the fourth-order Runge-Kutta method performed for 24 literations with . Data were obtained from the Maluku Provincial Health Office from March 2022 - November 2022. Based on the data obtained, the average of the data is used as the initial value, where . The initial and parameter values were substituted into the numerical solution and simulated using Matlab. The rate value of each class for the next 24 months for the Susceptible (S), Infected (I), and Recovered (R) classes has decreased until it approaches zero equilibrium. It shows that the subpopulation of the three classes no longer exists, and the Vaccinated (V) class has increased significantly because almost all of the population has been vaccinated in the next 24 months. It shows that after an individual is vaccinated, he does not return to being vulnerable.

Abstract

In the era of industrial revolution 4.0, investors in almost all countries are interested in investing in stocks. The wrong investment decision in deciding when it is the right time to buy and sell shares can cause big losses for investors. Therefore, technical analysis is required. One of the technical indicators used in intraday trading is the volume-weighted average price (VWAP). To predict the VWAP accurately in stock trading transactions, a genetic algorithm is used. The stocks that are suitable to be selected for conducting stock trading transactions are PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk. This research is applied research that uses secondary data from the website of PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk. The results showed that the predictive results of the VWAP testing data for PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk are close to actual data, which means that the genetic algorithm has good predictive abilities with an accuracy rate of 99.7% (very high method accuracy).

Abstract

Modular edge irregular labeling of graph G is an vertex labeling f from V(G) to {1,2,3,…,k} which is induced a bijection w from E(G) to Zn , where w(xy) = f(x) + f(y). Modular edge irregularity strength of graph G, mes(G), is the minimum number k such that f is a modular edge irregular labeling on G. In this paper, we discuss the modular edge irregularity strength of chain graph C(nCm), for m = 4,6,and 8.
