Abstract

Pidekso Dam is located in Pidekso Village, Wonogiri Regency, Central Java Province. The Pidekso Dam Spillway Building mode test was carried out to verify any deficiencies or design errors that might occur. One of the scope works in spillway model is a carrier channel downstream of the spillway which is 360 m long. To overcome the scour that occurs in the carrier channel downstream of the spillway, in the 4th series test, a groundsill structure was installed as a basic stabilizer for the carrier channel. The method is used in modelling include physical modelling, drainage testing, and observation of water flow and scouring that occurs at the bottom of the channel. The carrier channel groove model and the groundsill structure are made with a 1:40 scale both upright and flat (without distortion). The model test shows that the water flow in the carrier channel upstream of the groundsill is even and uniform with the bottom material of the channel not moving. At the bottom of the channel on the outer side of the bend which is assumed to be granular material, it is scoured to a depth of 2.68 m on the Z9 profile. This profile needs to be protected by rip-rap of concrete blocks, unless the base of the existing channel is a hard bedrock.

Abstract

The USM tower consists of 10 floors used as offices, parking and educational facilities with a total height of 48.5 m. Earthquake resistance analysis needs to be carried out on buildings built in earthquake areas. This study uses dynamic analysis with the response spectrum method, aiming to evaluate the structure according to SNI 1726:2012. What is reviewed in this study is the period, base shear, drift, and the level of building performance. The results of the analysis show that the period, base shear, drift and the maximum deviation meet the specified requirements. The USM Tower's performance level is Immediate Occupancy according to ATC-40 regulations.

Abstract

Foam mortar can be used as an alternative to cement board mixtures in ceiling or ceiling construction. The purpose of this study was to obtain the physical and mechanical properties of lightweight foamed cement board, to analyze the effect of admixture on bending strength, and to determine the optimum admixture for lightweight foamed cement board. The study used an experimental method by molding cement board test objects. The independent variable for the composition of the mixture with a ratio of 1 Cement: 1.2 Sand: 0.47 w/c ratio, with a mortar ratio of 0.45: 0.55; 31% glass fiber and 1:30 foam agent as well as 6 different admixture variations, namely 0; 0.2; 0.4; 0.6; 0.8 and 1.0%. The dependent variables are density, specific gravity, strength of nailed, and bending strength. The results showed that the higher the admixture content, thee workability. Density and specific gravity are decreasing. Meanwhile, the strength of the cement board is nailed, it does not break, there are no surface cracks, and the nails are easy to pull out. Bending strength was increasing and the optimum at 0.8% admixture variation was 60.44 kg/cm2. For the long term, the composition of this foam mortar mixture can be used as a ceiling

Abstract

Provision of special houses for fishermen continues from year to year as a part of the government's efforts to transform coastal areas into well-ordered and habitable residential areas. Inappropriate targeting and user satisfaction levels that may differ from the government in the available facilities are a problem in providing special houses for fishermen. The purpose of this research was to determined the utilization in the provision of special houses was right on target for the fishing community and to determine the level of user satisfaction with the available facilities. The research method was carried out by distributing questionnaires to respondents for special housing for fishermen in Tanggo Raso Village, Pino Raya District, South Bengkulu Regency. The data from the questionnaire results were processed and analyzed using the SPSS 25 program which included validity testing, reliability testing, and multiple linear regression analysis with a 90% confidence level. The results showed that the special house users were right on target for the fishing community and the level of user satisfaction which was influenced by facilities and infrastructure, location factors, and building physical condition factors was 60.4%. The most dominant factor affected the level of user satisfaction was the location factor of 31.1%. The facility and infrastructure factor was 18.5% and the building physical condition factor was 10.8%.

Abstract

The modeling of broad crested weirs is expected to facilitate understanding, especially the behavior of the flow flowing through the measuring instrument. The flow behavior under consideration is hydraulic behavior, measurement accuracy, and discharge curve. In addition, there is a relationship between discharge and water level upstream and downstream of the spillway, as well as the relationship of the variation of discharge flowing through the broad crested weirs to the loss of energy height. From the results of this study, it was found that there was a relationship between discharge and water level upstream, downstream, water level above the threshold, and energy loss for wide-threshold spillway. The modeling of the broad crested weirs assumes that the Froude number that occurs in the model is the same as the Froude number that occurs in the field. So that the scale of discharge, time, velocity and volume will be able to represent the actual conditions in the field. The scale of length, width, and height of the prototype is 1: 100. The methodology used is to carry out testing in the hydraulics laboratory by varying Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, …. Qn, to obtain variations in water level upstream and downstream of the broad crested weirs. From the results of the study, it was found that the energy loss was relatively small with a trend of Y = 101.66x2 - 0.7359x + 0.0017 with the slope of the broad crested weirs downstream is 1:2, Y = 467.84x2 - 1.7816x + 0.0022 for slope of the broad crested weirs downstream is 1:1.5, and Y = -1140,4x2 + 0.6383x + 0.0077 with the slope of the broad crested weirs downstream is 1:1 where Y is the energy loss in meters and X is the discharge in m3/sec.

Abstract

Mix concrete practical 1pc: 2 ps: 3split, people used to build houses, has a specific gravity of 22-24 kN/m3. Density large concrete impact severity construction was, blend ingredients lightweight aggregates to produce lightweight concrete. One is used for lightweight aggregate material is waste plastic bags. Because the amount of waste plastic bags or piled carelessly discarded in landfills (TPA) impact of environmental pollution. This paper presents the study of the flexural strength and buckling the use of waste plastic bags as a partial replacement of coarse aggregate mix. The percentage of coarse aggregate replacement with waste plastic bag of approximately 30% is expected to produce flexural strength and buckling optimum reinforcement variation different. Bending beam size 10/15 cm length of 70 cm, variations in the tested reinforcement bending strength. While buckling strength using the dimensions of length 70 cm 10/10 with a variety of symmetrical and non symmetrical reinforcement. Effective capacity reinforcement ratio press the tensile reinforcement that generates maximum torque is 66.67%.

Abstract

The strengthening technique to retrofit a reinforced concrete structure is an effective strategy to enhance the local and global structure capacity. It could be the structure's strength, stiffness, and failure resistance. The retrofit strategy is selected in the wrapped column method using FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer). This study analyzed one column element using the static nonlinear procedure to determine the member of the structure toward seismic forces. The rectangular column was analyzed using Adaptive Pushover Analysis. This procedure operates the not constant lateral load, then attaining more realistic results by displacement-based inelastic element type. Three models were analyzed using Seismostruct with the non-retrofit column without FRP and two models with retrofitted FRP by carbon or CRFP and glass or GFRP. Those two materials have advantages under different conditions, so that this enhancement can install under different risks and circumstances. The column capacity increase wrapping CFRP reached more than 10 % compared with the non-retrofit column. Wrapping GFRP represents that column capacity failure resistance is more significant than CFRP in internal and aggressive environment types.
