Abstract

t has been conducting research about Implementation of learning multiple model Group Investigation and MURDER in learning chemistry especially Buffer Solution. This study aims at finding out the effetiveness of the learning multiple model Group Investigation and MURDER (MGIM) could significantly improve students. This quasi-experimental study involved students of class XI SMAN 3 Banjarmasin of South Kalimantan as a subject. Test instruments were used for measuring students learning outcome. Questionnaire were used for measuring students affective aspect. Students activity measured by observer. By using one way Anava and LSD analysis, this study shows that  the implementation of MGIM in Buffer Solution gives better activity learning outcome than just GI and conventional learning. Implementation of MGIM in Buffer Solution gives better learning activity and affective learning outcome too.Key words: multiple model, GI, MURDER, and Buffer Solution

Abstract

The applications of peat as a farm there are many limiting factors, among others, the reaction is very acidic soil and low nutrient content available. To overcome these problems usually done liming the soil. The addition of lime causes an increase in pH and nutrient  availability. This study used the eggshell and husk ash as a source of calcium to overcome the lack of calcium in the soil and to determine the effect of manure on the growth of kale. This study used 1.5 kg of peat per polybag and one plant per polybag. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial. The first factor eggshell  with four levels namely: 0,0-1,5-3,0 and 4.5 g per polybag then the second factor with four level husk ash  are: 0,0-5,0-10,0 - 15.0 g per polybag. The third factor of manures are: 0.0 and 50.0 g per polybag. Do six replicates of each treatment combination. Growth parameters were observed plant height, number of leaves, fresh weight of shoot and root, root shoot ratio, pH of peat soil, content of Ca and Fe in shoots. Data were analyzed by Anova and a further test using Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the test level α = 5%. The addition of manure increased plant growth of kale. The addition of egg shells raise the pH of peat soil. The addition of rice husk ash and manure on peat soil decreases the concentration of Ca and Fe on shoot of kale. Keywords: peat, kale, egg shells, rice husk ash, manure

Abstract

The research on human motion system class using cooperative learning model types of “TGT” method was conducted. This study aims to find out students 'improvement, student’s activities and responses on “TGT” method. This research used class-action-research design with 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings. Research subjects is 8th grade student of SMPN 1 Banua Lawas, totaling 27 people. The data was collected by observation, giving the test, deployment questionnaire. The data obtained were analyzed by qualitative descriptive. The results showed that (1) the ability of teachers in the first cycle in implementing design of learning (RPP) was 97.82% in the category of pretty good and the second cycle teachers can implement the learning design was 100% good category, (2) student learning activities in the first cycle, active students on average of 96.29% and the students who are active in the second cycle an average of 97.23%, (3) student learning outcomes in the first cycle average of 71.48 and 85.18% classical mastery learning and the second cycle has increased to 77.59 with a classical mastery learning 96.30%; (4) student responses to learning activities is positive.  Key word: TGT, reflection, human motion system, science in junior high school, respond

Abstract

Has done research on the application of the model STAD on the material of natural resources and environment in the fourth grade student of SDN 9 Tanjung. Classroom action research is intended to increase student's understanding of the relationship of natural resources and the environment and increase positive attitudes fourth grade students of SDN 9 Tanjung to the environment. This study uses a classroom action research model of Kemmis and Taggart spiral from one to the next cycle. Each cycle includes (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) reflections. The results showed that: (1) model with cooperative learning type STAD can improve student learning outcomes in the matter of natural resources and environment marked by increasing exhaustiveness student learning by 50%. (2) The application of cooperative model type STAD can improve students' positive attitudes to the environment. Key word : cooperative model, STAD, natural resources and environment

Abstract

Characterization local clay ceramic in South Kalimantan  have been conducted in body system consisting of clays Nagara-Quartz-Feldspar with optimization using ternary triangle. The resulting ceramic body characterized by X-Ray Diffraction, and physical properties testing. The results showed that of the 15 compositions obtained six compositions that appropiate the SNI. with optimum combustion temperature 1100 o C. The optimum composition of ceramic body system Nagara clay 43.15%, 22.84% 34.01% quartz and feldspar with a total shrinkage of 8.71%, the modulus of 184.8 kg/cm 2 broken modulus and water absorption 12.21%.Key words: Nagara clay, ceramic body, shrinkage, broken modulus.

Abstract

his study aims to determine the influence of Biological Science Inquiry Model (BSIM) and student’s learning styles to learning outcome of acid-base subject matter. Research population are Class XI IPA of SMA PGRI 6 Banjarmasin. This quasi experiment research applied factorial design. Learning outcomes datas obtained through pre-test and post-test, meanwhile, psychomotoric as well as datas of learning styles and students response to the learning process collected by using questionnaires. Then, to evaluate effect of BSIM and learning style to learning outcome, they were analyzed using ANAVA. This study showed that (1) Implementation of BSIM learning models affects to student’s learning outcome (2) student’s learning styles had no effect to the student learning outcomes in acid-base subject matter where BSIM was applied and (3) the students give positive responses to the acid-base learning process which applied BSIM.Key words: Biological science inquiry models, learning styles, acid-base

Abstract

Has done research on understanding the concept of built space by using visual aids. This study aims to enhance student's understanding on the concept of nets up space that is taught with visual aids, student activities and teachers in learning. The research was carried out in two cycles. each cycle consists of the planning, implementation action, observation and reflection. Research subjects is eleventh grade student of SMKN 1 ATP Muara Kabupaten Uya Tabalong by the number of students 28 people. Data collection techniques used were the test results, and observations. Techniques of data analysis using techniques percentages. The results showed that the use of visual aids can enhance student’s understanding of the concept. learning outcomes of students increased from 67.14 to 89.99 on the first cycle to second cycle. Activities of students and teachers from the first cycle to second cycle also increased.Key words: Mathematics, visual aid, built space

Abstract

The research on colloidal system using Numbered Head-Together method (NHT). Subjects were a class of eleventh grade students of SMA Haruai 1. This study aims to determine increasing in student learning outcomes and to evaluate the response of students towards learning using numbered head together (NHT). Classroom action research carried out in two cycles. The first cycle consisted of two action and second cycle consisted of an action. the number of students in this study amounted 24 people. data collected by tests, questionnaires, observations, and analyzed by quantitative descriptive.  The results showed that (1) student learning outcomes using Numbered-Head-Together (NHT) has increased, (2) students responded positively to the use of method numbered head together (NHT) in colloidal systems of learning.  Key words : Numbered head together (NHT), colloidal system, cycle, quantitative descriptive.

Abstract

It has been conducting research about Implementation of inquiry guide approach in science integreted learning specially garbage management. There are three formulation of the issues raised in this study, namely: how the learning outcomes of students using the inquiry approach, how the activities of the students asked, answered, doing tasks and present their work and how student responses on learning using the concept of inquiry guided approach to waste management competencies. Research goals to improve student’s understanding of eleventh grade of SMKN 1 Tanjung at Waste Management using inquiri guided approach. The number of respondents is 36 students. Results showed that student learning outcomes in the first cycle has not yet reached the classical completeness which 58.3% (category less) increased to 91.70% (Good categories) in the second cycle, the results of student learning is very low with an average of 60.45 (category is less) on the first cycle and increased to 90.45 in the second cycle. management of learning activities performed by teachers also increased, in the first cycle of 3.51 to 3.84 in the second cycle. This learning get very positive response from eleventh grade of Marketing student, for all students (100%) states excited by learning about waste management by using inquiry guided approach.Key word : improve understanding, garbage, inquiry guided approach

Abstract

The classroom action research implementing mathematics laboratory as learning resources on Pythagoras Theorema concept was conducted. The objectives of this study was to describe student’s activities and mastery learning outcomes. in the 8 th grade class of MTsN 1 Muallimin Muhammadiyah Alabio with the mathematics laboratory for measurement learning. Subjects were 17 students involved on this study. The Class action research conducts in 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, acting, observing, evaluating and reflecting.. The data collected in the form of student’s activities, achievments and mastery learning outcomes  through tests and observation. Results indicated that mastery learning outcomes of students has increased from cycle I to II, which is 70.57% and 94.12%. The quality of student’s activity also increased from good to the best category.  Key words : Mathematics laboratory, Pythagoras Theorema, mastery learning outcomes, student’s activities
