Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the emulsion coating with oleic acid, stearic acid and palmitic acid in bali fresh fruits characteristics and determine the proper emulsion formulation to obtain fresh bali best fruit characteristics. Experimental design used in this research is completely randomized design ( CRD ) is simple. The treatment is performed as follows; A0: Salacca untreated ( control ). A1: Salacca treatment given oleic acid ( 1 % ), distilled water ( 98 % ), tween 80 ( 0.5 % ), NaHCO3 ( 0.5 % ). A2: Salacca treatment given stearic acid ( 1 % ), distilled water ( 98 % ), tween 80 ( 0.5 % ), NaHCO3 ( 0.5 % ). A3: Salacca treatment given palmitic acid ( 1 % ), distilled water ( 98 % ), tween 80 ( 0.5 % ), NaHCO3 ( 0.5 % ). A4: Salacca treatment given oleic acid ( 1 % ), stearic acid ( 1 % ), palmitic acid ( 1 % ), distilled water ( 96 % ), tween 80 ( 0.5 % ), NaHCO3 ( 0.5 % ), The experiment was repeated three ( 3 ) times. Observations durability shelf life is done every 3 days until the fifteenth day. The results showed that the emulsion layer with oleic acid, stearic acid and palmitic acid can significantly extend the shelf life of fruits bali. By protecting the surface of the rind of the fruit so as to prevent contamination with bacteria or microbes destroyer .   Keyword : coating, oleic acid, stearic, palmitic, fresh Salak fruits

Abstract

This research was carried out in Kusamba Village, Dawan District, Klungkung Regency. This study aims to find out to identify the salt kusamba marketing channel with the structure, conduct, performance (SCP) approach and analyze the marketing efficiency of kusamba salt. The data collected was analyzed with qualitative and quantitative methods. Qualitative methods are used to analyze marketing channels, structure, and market behavior, while quantitative methods are used to analyze market performance. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the salt marketing process is through 4 (four) marketing channels. The market structure that occurs in the marketing of kusamba salt is oligopsonia. Market conduct occurs when the practice of pricing is still dominated by intermediary traders. Market performance shows that the highest total marketing margin is found in marketing channel 3 and the highest farmer share is found in marketing channels 1. The analysis of salt marketing efficiency based on farmer 's share states that the marketing channel 1 is the most efficient and based on the total marketing costs of marketing channel 3 is the most efficient because the value of Marketing Efficiency (EP) is 44,44% or ? 50%. Abstract

The objectives of this research were to determine the factors that affect the availability of soybean, to arrange modelling system dynamic of soybean availability, to calculate the availability of soybean in an effort to achieve food self-sufficiency, to arrange alternative recommendation of plausible scenario to fulfil the food self-sufficiency of soybean in Bali. This research were conducted in Bali on March to June 2017. The step of this research were determine the location of research, identification the problem and purpose, conceptualization of system, formulation of model, verification and validation of model, simulation with scenario and arrange alternative of recommendation. The factors that influence of availability of soybean in Bali such as the area of planting, harvested area, the production of soybean, inter island trading, harvested productivity, area productivity, intensification of technology, ekstensification rate, land conversion rate, population growth, migration net, requirement of tempe and tofu industry, requirement of soybean milk industry, requirement of soybean snack. Dynamic model of availability soybean that had simulation with few scenarios was increased of soybean production with improvement efforts of the area of planting and increased of productivity in intensification technology effort. Availability of soybean in Bali was decreased of productivity, the are of planting, harvested area, and productivity.. Alternative recommendation of subtlety scenario to fulfill the requirement of soybean in Bali which were expected to be applied with empowerment area scenario was 15% every year and the soybean’s area of planting, and increased productivity with effort intensification from 1,35 ton/ha become 2,94 ton/ha.Key words: system dynamic, availabilit y of soybean, simulation, Bali

Abstract

This study aimd toknowthe effect of addition of magnesiumsulfate heptahydrate and ferric chloride in Blue Green Medium-11 on the production biomass of Tetraselmis chuii and tofine out the concentration of magnesium sulfate heptahydrate and ferric chloride on Blue Green medium-11 which could produce the highest biomass of Tetraselmis chuii. The Experimens was designed by a completely randomized design (CRD) with factorial pattern two factors were designent in the experient. The first factor was magnesium sulfate heptahydrate addition which was consist of three levels i.e. 0, 2, and 4g/L. The second factor was ferric chloride addition which was consist of three levels i.e. 0, 12, and 24 µM. Experiement was repeated twice times to obtain 18 units experiment. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance and if the treatment significantly affected the parameter followed by Duncan test. The addition of magnesium sulfate heptahydrat e4g/L producedin the highest biomass concentration of 4.4x10 6 cells/ml while the addition ferric chloride 24 ?m produce the highest biomass concentration of 4.3x10 6 cells/ml.

Abstract

Ulva lactuca L. is a type of Chloro phyta or green algae. Ulva lactuca L. contains many chemical compounds that are useful to be developed. This study were determine the effect of ethanol solvent concentration and duration of extraction on the characteristics of extract bioactive compounds. This study used Factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 2 factors as treatment. Factor I is the concentration of ethanol solvent which consists of 3 levels there are 70%, 80% and 90%. Factor II is the length of extraction consisting of 4 levels there are 3 hours, 4 hours, 5 hours, and 6 hours. The results showed that ethanol solvent concentration and extraction time were very influential on total phenolic content of sea lettuce extract. While the interaction treatment of ethanol concentration and extraction time greatly affect the levels of vitamin C and ?-tocopherol levels. Ethanol concentration of 90% and 5 hours extraction time resulted in the best extract of Ulva lactuca L. with characteristics of vitamin C content of 35.64 mg / 100g., Total phenolic 694.57 mg GAE / 100 g, and ?-tocop herol content of 308.54 mg / 100g. Abstract

This study aims to determine the best ratio of oil / water and concentration of resting cells and determine the time course of resting cells bacteria isolates SBJ8 to be known the biodesulfurization capability in two-phase media using media mineral salt sulfur free-tetradecane(MSSF-TD). Oil/water ratio used in this study is 1 : 1 , 1 : 2 and 1 : 4 in combination with cell concentration by OD66010, 20, and 30. The study was conducted using 200 mg · l–1dibenzothiophene as a source of sulfur dissolved in tetradecane as a model of petroleum (oil phase). Isolates were incubated for 24 hours at 37°C and the residue analyzed by gass cromathography mass selective (GC-MS). Testing the degradation of resting cells is accomplished by two replications. The results showed that the ratio of oil water 1 : 4 by and cellconcentration OD66030 shows the results of the highest degradation of 84.84% and the time course of 24 hours resting cells show degradation rate dibenzothiophene up to 81.84%. Abstract

The aims of this study was to determine the optimum substrate concentration of cassava peel and fermentation time on crude cellulase activity from Trichoderma viride FNCC 6013. Optimization on crude cellulase activity from Trichoderma viride were calculated using the response surface method. Central Composite Design was used to study the effect of optimum substrate concentration of cassava peel and fermentation time on maximum crude cellulase activity (filter paperase). The results showed that 3.14% substrate concentration of cassava peel and 7.26 days fermentation produces maximum crude cellulase activity (filter paperase), amounting to 0.099 Units/mL.

Abstract

Peeled without roasting cocoa beans is a new product at UD. Harta Sari and still not so much (15%) of the total production per year of production. The purpose of the study is to, determine the financial feasibility of the peeled beans non roasting business, determine the value added of processing, and determine the business feasibility of peeled beans non roasting if there is an increase in operational costs and a decrease in income using sensitivity analysis. Financial feasibility analysis uses quantitative descriptive analysis using calculations profit and loss, Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return, Net B/C Ratio, Payback Period, and Break Event Point, and Value added analysis using Hayami method. The results showed that financial feasibility analysis that is Net Present Value of Rp. 56,933,644. Internal Rate of Return of 5.49%. Payback Period for 3 year 10 months, and Net B/C Ratio of 1.32. It is based on added value obtained from the processing of peeled cocoa beans non roasting is Rp. 6,250/Kg. The business of peeled cocoa beans non roasting as a whole is profitable with a net profit of Rp. 78,231,000 of year and worth developing. Sensitivity analysis indicates that an increase in operational cost of 2.5% and a 1.5% revenue decrease does not affect the feasibility of the project. Based on the results of research on the business of peeled cocoa beans non roasting is feasible. Keywords : cocoa, financial feasibility, value added

Abstract

The extraction of enfleurage system is widely used to take volatile compounds in flowers. The purposes of this research were to know the influence of fat and vegetable oil in the extraction process of enfleurage system on sandalwood frangipani flower’s essential oil characteristic, and to determine the best combination of fat and vegetable oil that produced essential oil of sandalwood frangipani flower. This research was a factorial research which used Randomize Block Design with 2 factors. The first factor was the type of fat oil, which consist of butter and margarine. The second factor was the type of vegetable oil, which consist of coconut, palm, corn, and soy oil, so there were 8 combination of experiments. The experiments were done in two replications, resulting 16 units of experiment. The variables observed were rendement of essential oil, density, solubility in alcohol, and aroma preference. The objective data were analyzed by analysis of variance and then continuing by Duncan test. Meanwhile, aroma preference data were analyzed by using Friedman test. The best treatment were determined using effectiveness index test. The result showed that there was a significant influence of fat and vegetable oil on essential oil’s rendement and solubility in alcohol, but there was no significant effect on essential oil’s aroma preference. Combination treatment of butter and corn oil was the best treatment that produced essential oil of sandalwood frangipani flower with rendement, density, and solubility in alcohol was 4.13%, 0.83 g/ml, and 6.5 ml, respectively. The aroma preference of this product was in the range of ‘quite like’ to ‘like’.Keywords: enfleurage, sandalwood frangipani flower, fat oil, vegetable oil, Plumeria alba.

Abstract

This study aimed to isolate microbe indiegenous. Samples will takes of soil that has been contaminated by pesticides in Bedugul area. In addition, experiments conduct to determine resistance isolates at high concentrations profenofos. The result of the research showed 6 isolates. Isolates with IPP 02 code, was good growth on Mineral Salt Peptone Yeast medium with 200 ppm concentration profenofos. Keywords : isolation, screening, idiegenous
