Abstract

This research aims to implement Inquiry Small Research to improve the scientific attitude and achievement of students in vertebrate zoology This research was conducted in second semester with 38 students. This classroom action research is conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle through planning, action, observation and reflection. Data collection using observation sheet to know the scientific attitude and cognitive test to measure student achievement. The results showed that implementation of Inquiry Small Research for scientific attitude of students with good and excellent category experienced an increase from pre-cycle and cycle I by 54%, and from cycle I and II increased by 6%. Thus, overall from the pre-cycle stage to cycle II, students' scientific attitudes increased by 60%. The increase of student achievement by 27%, from pre cycle and cycle I, from cycle I and cycle II experienced 39% improvement. Thus, overall from pre-cycle stage to cycle II, student achievement has increased by 66%. The conclusion of this research is through implementation of Inquiry Small Research can improve scientific attitude and student achievement.

Abstract

The Science Subjects have an important influence for human life. The research is designed using quasi-experimental approach to the design of a simple 2 x 2 factorial. The research subjects was a university student of Special education . Students were selected in this study amounted to 55 students. The results of this study are: 1) the average value of the learning outcomes of students who are taught Sciences using Problem based learning is higher (at 4,500) of the learning outcomes of students who are taught Sciences using conventional models (at 1,241); 2) the average value of learning outcomes Sciences students have high motivation to learn at 3,250 while those with low motivation to learn at 2,296; 3) the experimental group students with high learn motivation have the best learning outcomes Sciences by 4,692 while the control group students with low learn motivation to learn science have the worst outcomes for 0,429. Based on the results of the study, the conclusions are : 1) Problem based learning model significantly influence learning outcomes, learning outcomes of Sciences subjects experimental group (tought using problem based learning model) is higher than in the control group outcomes study (taught using conventional model or lecture); 2) motivation to learn significantly affect learning outcomes, student learning outcomes Sciences high motivation to learn is better than the student learning outcomes that low motivation to learn; 3) there is no significant interaction between fine distinctions model of learning and fine distinctions motivation performed well in giving influence against student learning outcomes of Science.

Abstract

A more interactive and fun microbiology learning solution by utilizing information technology is the development of interactive multimedia of microbiological material based on Edmodo Android. The purpose of this research is to produce interactive multimedia microbiology based on Edmodo Android. The research method used is research and development. Interactive multimedia microbiology based on Edmodo Android developed with Thiagarajan development model. The research is done through define stage, design stage, and develop stage. The data of the research are validation questionnaire from media experts, microbiology material experts, and practitioners. The research data is corrected by using the percentage of eligibility criteria.

Abstract

Achievement of learning objectives and learning competencies can be possessed by students through a process of learning experiences that are meaningful for students. Low learning results one of them caused by misunderstanding of the concept of matter. Understanding the concept of students can be improved in learning by using the model of learning think, talk, write. This study is a classroom action research consisting of two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data analysis technique is done by calculating from the value obtained from the completeness of individual and classical. The result of the analysis shows that there is an increase of learning result 23,32% from cycle 1 to cycle 2.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the objective condition of children who have difficulty learning in knowing land animals. The method of learning role playing is one of the learning methods used to overcome it. The purpose of this study is to improve the learning activities of children of sub-subject of animal introduction. The method used in this research is qualitative method using observation and interview to dig the child data. The subjects of the study were children with intelectual disability aged 9 years amounted to one person. The results showed that: 1) The cognitive development of the child is still like 6 years old children, 2) The children need services that suit their needs through role playing learning method, 3) role playing method done six times, 4) role playing method can increase Learning activities of children in knowing land animals.

Abstract

This study is based on the low level of students' science process skills. This is because in the learning process that takes place students are more passive role and only receive learning materials provided by the teacher. Model Problem Based Learning is a learning model that is using the problem as a benchmark, the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) on Science process skills To the material of the respiratory system in the class XI on SMA PGRI Prabumulih. This research uses quasi-experimental research (Quasi Experimental Reasearch) using descriptive quantitative data analysis techniques. The instrument used in this research is the test and performance assessment. Analysis of the data from the two classes using t-test Independen Sampel t test Analysis of the data from the two classes using t-test with independent testing samples test-t with t count> t table (2,066> 2,000), then H 0 rejected and H a accepted, which means that the model of problem based learning affects the students' science process skills, and Paired sample t-test in experimental class with the value t count <t table (-6.353 <-2.045), then Ho is rejected it means there is a difference science process skills between before and after the implementation of the learning model of problem-based learning. It was concluded that model of problem based learning It was concluded that model of problem based learning affects on the material respiratory system science process skills of students in class XI SMA PGRI Prabumulih.

Abstract

This study aims to invite students to dig up information around them. So that students can reveal the information obtained by doing experiments with inquiry learning. This research has been done in 2016 in Unsri labolatorium, the result of this research found that there are 8 isolates of mold. Isolate V1 has the same characteristic as V8, isolate V2 has the same characteristics as V3, V6 and V7, whereas the isolate V4 has the same characteristic as V5. Therefore, based on the identification result, it is stated that the isolates of V1 with V8 are Aspergilus fumigatus, hereinafter called Aspergilus fumigatus (V1). Isolates of mold V2, V3, V6 and V7 are Cylindrocladium sp hereinafter called Cylindrocladium sp (V2). Isolates of mold V4 and V5 are the same isolate and identified as Fumago sp hereinafter called Fumago sp (V4).
