Abstract

Discovery learning model is one model that can increase student activity in the learning process so that students seek and find their own knowledge. This study aims to determine the effect of discovery learning model on the cognitive improvement of students on Biology material in X class. Research method used in this research is quasi experiment with research design of Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The population in the study consisted of 5 classes totaling 256 students. Sampling is used by using simple random sampling technique. The sample of this study is X MIA 1 class as experiment amounted to 37 and X MIA 3 class as the control class amounted to 45 students. In the learning process, the experimental class is treated by using discovery learning model and control class is taught with conventional model. The results of this study indicate that the average Ngain of the experimental class is 0.56 which is in the medium category and the average N-gain for the control class is 0.30 which belongs to the low category. Data analysis using t-test with significant level 0,05 obtained tarithmetic = 7,470 while t-table = 1,667 seen that t-arithmetic> t-table. This can be seen from the calculation of cognitive t-test showed students sig. t-arithmetic 0.000 <0,05, then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. The result of the analysis of the average increase of cognitive completeness of the experimental students. In the experimental class reaches 32.65% while the cognitive students in the control class is 12.42% which means that the cognitive of the experimental class is higher than the control class instudent's cognitive. Thus, it can be deduced that the Disccovery learning model has an effect on the students’ cognitive improvement on X class student biology material.

Abstract

Abstract: This study was aimed to develop Biology teaching kits using Self Regulated Learning (SRL)-based strategy in senior high schools that have been validated and tested. The study was carried out by using the development strategy of Borg and Gall. The subjects were the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Sentolo in the academic year of 2014/2015. The data for the validation process and the implementation of the teaching kits were collected through questionnaires and observations. The data of the validator assessment were analyzed using the categorization formula and Borich formula. The data on the try-out were analyzed using the paired sample test. The findings were in the form of teaching kits product for Bryophyta materials for the tenth grade students. The teaching kits had been validated theoretically by experts and teachers, the lesson plans had been validated and simulated, and the teaching kits and research instruments had been tried out in a small scale and implemented in the field. Metode penelitian menggunakan strategi pengembangan Borg dan Gall. Subjek penelitian perangkat pembelajaran adalah siswa kelas X SMAN 1 Sentolo. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam proses validasi dan implementasi perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan angket dan observasi. Data penilaian validator dianalisis dengan rumus kategorisasi, sedang persamaan validator terhadap lembar validasi menggunakan rumus Borich. Data hasil uji coba dianalisis dengan paired sample test. Hasil penelitian berupa produk perangkat pembelajaran pada materi tumbuhan lumut di kelas X SMA. Perangkat pembelajaran tersebut telah divalidasi secara teoretis yang dilakukan oleh ahli dan guru, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran tertentu telah diuji secara terbatas keterbacaan dan disimulasikan, perangkat pembelajaran dan instrumen penelitian telah diuji coba terbatas dan lebih luas. Abstract

AbstractThis research departs from the strategic issue of human and community development in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 as well as answering the challenges of learning innovation in the new normal era. This era provides a learning challenge based on hybrid learning. This challenge applies to all tertiary institutions, including the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD). This urgency is what encourages flipped classron learning research to be carried out as a form of solution to improving the quality of learning based on hybrid learning. The 2019 PKPT findings show that data literacy, professionalism, and pedagogical competencies are competencies needed by teachers in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. In the 2020 research we want to adopt the findings of the 2019 research into a flipped classroom-based learning design in the Classroom Action Research (CAR) course. Research Stages (1) research and information collection; (2) planning; (3) develop a preliminary form of product; and (4) preliminary filed testing. Abstract

This study investigated the feasibility of the scientific-based self-regulated learning model oriented interactive flash for the Biology subject from the perspective of experts. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Interviews with structured interview guidelines were used to collect the data in this study. Three groups of experts were employed in this study, i.e. materials, media, and language experts. The material experts examined the content of the interactive flash; the media experts examined the graphic and the clarity of the SLRBS models steps in the interactive flash; and the language experts examined the language aspects displayed in the interactive flash. Interactive analysis models were used in the data analysis. The analysis consisted of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusions. The findings showed that seven out of the 32 feasibility indicators needed revisions. The material aspects which needed revisions were the depth and coverage of the materials and the encouragement of curiosity and asking ability. The media aspects which needed revisions were image arrangement indicator and media . The language aspect which needed revisions was the sentence accuracy indicator since there were a few incorrectly written sentences in the flash presentation. It was concluded that the developed interactive flash media was categorized as feasible but still requires some revisions. Keywords: media, flash, Based Scientifi- Self-Regulated Learning STUDI KELAYAKAN HASIL PENGEMBANGAN FLASH INTERAKTIF BERORIENTASI MODEL SELF REGULATED LEARNING BERBASIS SAINTIFIK Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kelayakan hasil pengembangan media flash interaktif Biologi berorientasi model self-regulated learning berbasis saintifik jika ditinjau dari sisi expert judgment. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara. Intrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar wawancara terstruktur. Expert yang digunakan terdiri dari tiga kelompok, yakni expert materi, media, dan bahasa. Expert materi membahas aspek kelayakan isi flash, expert media membahas aspek kelayakan kegrafikan dan kejelasan langkah model SLRBS di dalam flash, dan expert bahasa membahas aspek kelayakan bahasa yang ditampilkan oleh media flash. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analysis interactive model yang terdiri dari data collection, data reduction, data display, dan conclusions. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan bahwa dari 32 indikator kelayakan hanya 7 indikator yang terindikasi revisi. Aspek materi yang diperbaiki adalah indikator kedalaman, keluasan materi, mendorong keingintahuan, dan mendorong kemampuan bertanya. Aspek media yang menjadi perbaikan adalah indikator penataan gambar, dan tingkat interaktif media dengan peserta didik. Aspek bahasa yang perlu direvisi adalah indikator ketepatan struktur kalimat karena ada beberapa kalimat yang salah tulis dalam penyajiannya. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah media flash yang dikembangkan terkatagori layak namun masih memerlukan revisi dibeberapa indikator.Kata kunci: media, flash, Self-Regulated Learning Berbasis Saintifik (SRLBS)

Abstract

The implementation basic of this dedication begun by the problem of having not a forum for science teacher at SMPN 3 Banyuasin 1 to discuss in solving the problems faced at class. This dedication activity was aimed 1) to increase science teachers’ knowledge at SMPN 3 Banyuasin 1 about lesson study with project based learning model (PjBL) and 2) to know the level of participant's satisfaction toward the implementation of dedication activity. Implementation Methods of dedication activity included: 1) socialization of the PjBL model; 2) socialization of lesson study; 3) socialization of learning devices types; and 4) assistance of implementation simulation of lesson study based PjBL consisting of plan, do, and see. Data collection of knowledge was done by using the questions given before and after the PkM activity, while the satisfaction level of dedication implementation of devotion was taken by using the questionnaire. Data analysis of knowledge and questionnaire using descriptive analysis. The results of the dedication showed that 1) there was the increase of  Science Teachers’ knowledge of SMPN 3 Banyuasin 1 about lesson study with PjBL model from 66 to 74,6; and 2) there was the indication of the participants being very satisfied of the implementation of dedication activities.

Abstract

Era Masyarakat Ekonomi Asean (MEA) memberikan gambaran tantangan globalisasi harus dihadapi oleh siswa di masa yang akan datang. Tantangan ini tentunya diikuti dengan penguasaan bahasa yang memadai, pengusaan materi yang lebih mendalam, dan beberapa kemampuan abad 21 lainnya. Beberapa tantangan yang telah diuraikan tersebut berlaku untuk semua mata pelajaran di sekolah tidak terlepas juga mata pelajaran Biologi. Cara yang dapat dilakukan dalam menjawab tantangan ini dimulai dari perbaikan proses pembelajaran yang berkualitas. Pembelajaran yang berkualitas dintunjang dengan penggunaan bahan ajar yang memadai. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang telah diuraikan maka penerapan modul Biologi bilingual dapat menjadi solusi bagi para guru di sekolah. Penerapan modul harus ditunjang dengan penggunaan strategi yang memfasilitasi kemampuan metakognitif dan bahasa Inggris siswa, karena itu penerapan modul Biologi bilingual menggunakan strategi Self Regulated Learning Berbasis Saintifik (SRLBS).

Abstract

This study is based on the low level of students' science process skills. This is because in the learning process that takes place students are more passive role and only receive learning materials provided by the teacher. Model Problem Based Learning is a learning model that is using the problem as a benchmark, the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) on Science process skills To the material of the respiratory system in the class XI on SMA PGRI Prabumulih. This research uses quasi-experimental research (Quasi Experimental Reasearch) using descriptive quantitative data analysis techniques. The instrument used in this research is the test and performance assessment. Analysis of the data from the two classes using t-test Independen Sampel t test Analysis of the data from the two classes using t-test with independent testing samples test-t with t count> t table (2,066> 2,000), then H 0 rejected and H a accepted, which means that the model of problem based learning affects the students' science process skills, and Paired sample t-test in experimental class with the value t count <t table (-6.353 <-2.045), then Ho is rejected it means there is a difference science process skills between before and after the implementation of the learning model of problem-based learning. It was concluded that model of problem based learning It was concluded that model of problem based learning affects on the material respiratory system science process skills of students in class XI SMA PGRI Prabumulih.

Abstract

Problem-based learning model is a learning activity that requires physical and mental activity of students to understand a learning material through situations and problems presented at the beginning of learning with the aim to train students solve the problems by using problem-solving approach. This study aims to see the effect of problem-based learning model on student learning activities on the material interdependence in the ecosystem VII class. Variables in this research are problem-based learning model as independent variable and learning activity as dependent variable. The sample of this research is VII.C class as experiment class and VII.D class as control class. The method used in this research is all experimental method. Data collection techniques used were questionnaires and observation sheets to determine the level of student learning activity after applied problem-based learning model. H0 rejected and Ha accepted which means there is influence of problem-based learning model to student learning activities on the ecosystem materials.

Abstract

This study titled analysis misconceptions students use science subjects in SMPN 4 penukal utara kabupaten penukal abab lematang ilir pendopo. Misconceptions in students often happens, the misconception occurs because the need for students to understand a concept, as happened to the students at SMPN 4 penukal. This study aims to analyze student misconceptions in science subjects in SMPN 4 penukal utara kabupaten penukal abab lematangilir. According Omrood (2008) misconception is the belief that is not in accordance with generally accepted explanation and proved valid about a phenomenon or event. The research methodology used in this research is quantitative descriptive. Sampling using cluster random sampling, to be sampled VII.1 class research amounted to 38 students .Instruments used in the study using a multiple-choice test reasoned open. The analysis showed that there was a misconception in science subjects, namely on the material characteristics of living things and the organization of life. Percentage of misconceptions students on the material characteristics of living things at 41.5% for the material organization of life 48%. t can be concluded that student misconceptions in the material organization of life is higher than the misconceptions on the material characteristics of living things. Student misconceptions caused by student learning, the methods used, and the lack of students in finding information.

Abstract

Studies of PBL and outdoor learning in improving creative thinking skills in Indonesia are still conducted separately. Although there are studies that combine PBL with outdoor learning, the dependent variables are still learning outcomes and motivation, not yet reaching creative thinking ability. This study aimed to determine the influence of the PBL model through outdoor learning in improving students' creative thinking ability on Environmental Changes at grade X SMA PGRI Tanah Abang PALI. This study used the quasi-experimental design (using nonequivalent control group design) the sampling technique used purposive sampling. The instrument used essay questions consisting of aspects of fluency, flexibility, originality, elaboration, and evaluation. The descriptive data analysis used gain score and inferential data analysis used independent sample t-test supported by the effect size r independent t-test. The results showed there was the influence of the PBL model through outdoor learning to improve students' creative thinking ability on Environmental Changes at grade X SMA PGRI Tanah Abang PALI (sig 0,00 < ± 0,05/2). The limitation of this study is the determination of the observation location of pollution objects. If the PBL model through outdoor learning wants to be used, the purpose of the observed problem should be a more real problem and directly to the location of pollution, so that outdoor learning becomes more optimal.
