Abstract

This research was done to investigate the behavior of edge slab-column connection of flat plate structure using the CDP features of ABAQUS software. Experimental specimen obtained in the literature was modelled in ABAQUS software with CDP features to define the concrete inelastic behavior. The investigated slab-column connection is an edge slab-column subassembled connection having slab dimension of 1020 mm x 1540mm, slab thickness of 120 mm, column dimension of 250 mm x 250mm and column height of 1520 mm. The vertical load and unbalanced moment were applied through the column ends. The vertical load works in the direction perpendicular to slab surface, and the unbalanced moment perpendicular to slab free edge that is obtained from a couple of horizontal forces acting in opposite direction. As many as 22 models were analyzed for five variations on CDP parameters and mesh size. The parametric values of the CDP were varied to obtained the analysis results predict well the experimental results. The analysis shows that the parametric values of CDP such as viscosity (µ) of 0,00005, dilatation angle (?) of 40°, using tension strain to define tension behavior of concrete, and considering damage parameter due to compression and tension give the analysis results of the behavior of edge slab-column connections close to experimental result. Abstract

One option to overcome traffic jam that has been implemented was by building Bali Mandara toll road. However, the connection between the toll road with the Tugu Ngurah Rai intersection has caused traffic jam and long queue. Therefore, it is required to analyse appropriate traffic management at Tugu Ngurah Rai intersection. This study aims to analyze the existing performance of Tugu Ngurah Rai roundabout and to provide the alternatives control considering both signalized roundabout and separated-grade intersection of partial-type underpass. The analysis is conducted in accordance to the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (MKJI, 1997). The study showed the existing performance of Tugu Ngurah Rai roundabout was at the level of service C. In addition, the degree of saturation, average delay and queue probability of the roundabout were 0.652, 10.802 sec/pcu and 6%-25%, respectively. The roundabout is predicted to reach a level of service D in 2019 with the average delay of 26.664 sec/pcu. Installing signalized traffic control at Tugu Ngurah Rai roundabaout is unable to reduce the congestion, therefore, a separated-grade intersection of underpass is such a plausible alternative. An alternative design of underpass on north-south direction in 2019 is found to be better than east-west direction. The underpass on north-south direction will have a degree of saturation, average delay and queue probability of 0,517, 9.7118 sec/pcu and 12% - 21%, respectively. These condition is equal to a level of service B. Furthermore, considering the increase of traffic flow in 2026, the underpass is predicted to experience a level of service D with average delay of 20.773 sec/pcu. Abstract

This research uses 4 types of piles as the objects, a bored pile, a continuous flight auger (CFA) pile, a full displacement pile (FDP), and a full displacement pile with an expander body, the depth for all piles is 9.5 m. The bored pile, CFA, FDP, and FPD with expander body have the following diameter: 62 cm, 45 cm, 45 cm, and 22 cm. Each pile, which has different construction method, is tested by full-scale static loading, excluding the FDP with expander body, it uses Osterberg-Cell. The research aims to know which analysis method best suits a particular kind of foundation and to compare each pile capacity. The pile capacity analysis conventionally using t-z and q-z curve gives 13%-15% higher estimation than the static loading test result. Analysis using Plaxis for FDP with expander body gives lower estimation than the Osterberg Cell test result. Keywords: Continuous flight auger, full displacement pile, t-z curve, q-z curve

Abstract

Comparative study of steel structure behavior and performance using composite and non composite columns were done by making five structure models. A model using wide flange steel columns, two models with circular and square concrete encased columns (MCEC and MCES), also two models with circular and square concrete filled tube columns (MCFTC and MCFTS). Columns on 4th-5th floor are smaller than columns on three floors below. Structure behavior were observed through elastic analysis which are displacement and interstory drift. While structure performance were evaluated through non linear static Pushover analysis using SAP2000®. The analysis showed that with P-M ratio ranging from 0.79 until 0.88, all models interstory drifts were exceed limit on 1st, 2nd and 4th floors. Countermeasures were done by rotating half of total MS steel columns (then became MS-R), enlarging 4th-5th floor columns on MS-R and MCFTC, and also installing eight X-bracings on all models ground floor. Pushover analysis showed that performance level of all models are Immediate Occupancy (IO) except MCFTS. MCFTS model which in Collapse (C) performance level were improved by increasing thickness of steel section (then became MCFTS-Improved) and resulting IO performance level. Calculation of structure materials cost showed the most expensive until the cheapest models respectively were MS-R, MCFTS-Improved, MCEC, MCES, and MCFTC with comparison 1:0,99:0,88:0,87:0,86. Abstract

I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport has high numbers of car parking users, however land availaibility is limited to accomodate entire vehicle. This research was conducted to study about the characteristic of parking and future parking needs. The aim of this study was to analyze the characteristics of parking on weekdays, weekends, and public holiday at Ngurah Rai Internasional Airport, also future parking needs. The method used to obtain data throught direct survey and recording primary data from PT. Angkasa Pura I (Persero). The analysis was performed by comparing characteristics on weekdays, weekends and holiday on motorcycle (2 wheelers), car (4 wheelers), and bus (6 wheelers). The highest parking indexs of motorcycles in on working days is 4.75. The highest parking indexs of car is on the weekend day is equal to 1.84. The highest perking indeks of bus is on the public holiday is equal to 7.54. I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport still requires parking lots to meet parking needs. Based on characteristics parking, for motorcycle there was deficiency of 3.092 SRP, total parking lots requirement for car is 1.897 SRP and for bus is 42 SRP.
