Abstract

Base on preliminary observations taken at VIIIC class of SMPN 10 Malang during 6th to October 31, 2014, were found several facts. Most of students test result have not reached minimum standard result that is 75 (only 14.17% of students who reach minimum standard result, and average of test results obtained by the students is 50), students are less skilled to do practical work, only certain students are active and enthusiastic in learning activities, some of these phenomenon are proof that motivation and student learning outcomes need to be improved. Solution that can be applied is to apply inquiry learning model. The purpose of this study is to obtain a clear explanation about the improvement of motivation and student learning outcomes at VIIIC class of SMPN 10 Malang through the implementation of inquiry learning model. This classroom action research was conducted at the time of learning by chapter of excretion system. Results of the research showed that, Students' motivation have increased from 72% in the first cycle to 82% in the second cycle. Cognitive learning outcomes of students have increased from 79.41% in the first cycle to 88.24% in the second cycle. Psychomotor learning outcomes of students have increased from 78% in the first cycle to 91% in the second cycle. Affective of learning outcomes of students have increased from 84% in the first cycle to 90% in the second cycle. Base on the data of these research, it can be concluded that the implementation of inquiry learning model can improve students motivation and learning outcomes at VIIIC class of SMPN 10 Malang.

Abstract

The results showed that the evaluation implementation of learning in senior high school 1 Blitar was appropriate curriculum in 2013, but the teacher in senior high school in 1 Blitar must to complete assessment instruments portofolio, practice tests and tests. The evaluation implementation of learning in senior high school 2 Blitar appropriate curriculum 2013 is the assessment of the attitude with observation, assessment practice test and a written test, but all of implementation assessment instrument not yet, so the teacher must to complete the assessment instrument. Evaluation implementation of learning in senior high school 4 Blitar appropriate curriculum 2013 is the assessment of the attitude with observation, assessment written test, portofolio, practice tests and projects. Same as senior high school 1, the teacher must to complete assessment instrument portofolio, practice test and project.

Abstract

The limit of face to face learning presented the recent alternative solution in technology named E-learning. This Research and Development (R and D) aims to produce media-based e-learning LMS Moodle, in the course of Human Anatomy Physiology. The research was conducted in Class Human Anatomy Physiology, Biology Education Study Program V Semester 2014 Faculty UNM. The data were collected by using questionnaire to measure validity, practical, and effectiveness. The R and D’s model used Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate (ADDIE) comprised of initial data collecting, design of research instrument and Moodle, development of research instrument and Moodle, trial and error to subjects, and evaluation .The result of this study noted that media-based e-learning LMS Moodle is very useful in improving the quality of lecture courses of human anatomy and physiology. This increase can be seen from the use of e-learning facilities by students in the course of Human Anatomy Physiology, increased activity of learning, and students attitude towards human physiology and anatomy course.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of  Project Based Learning to increase student’s motivation, creativity, critical thinking and cognitive abilities in learning biology. This quasi-experimental research design was "The Non Equivalent pretest-posttest control group design". Based on further testing of LSD showed that the project based learning can influence students 'motivation is higher by 14%, a 31.1% increase students' creativity, critical thinking skills increased by 34% and the cognitive abilities of students also increased 28.9% from the learning that is given without project. Project based learning motivates students to learn independently find their own information from various sources, such as a team of experts, environment, media and internet. Students are motivated to cooperate with the team to generate creative ideas that then manifested in a product. Learning project trained to make students think critically about the contextual issues relating to biological materials through the themes they choose, so as to increase students' cognitive abilities from analysis, synthesis, evaluation, and creation.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of Socio-Biological Case Based Learning model toward critical thinking skills. This study is an quasy experimental design by nonrandomized pretest-posttest control group design conducted in the department of Biology in State University of Malang in 2015. The data was collected from pretest and posttest. The result showed that there was significant influence of critical thinking skills on general Biology among Socio-Biological Case Based Learning and conventional model. The average difference in conventional model for pretest and posttest is 18,21 while in Socio-Biological Case Based Learning is 36,92. Based on gain score, the increase in conventional model is 62,80% while Socio-Biological Case Based Learning model is 74,03%.
