Abstract

This study aims to test the validity of the Virus Material Booklet as a teaching material supplement and to test the effectiveness of the booklet in increasing the learning interest of class X students. This research is included in R&D research with a 4D model but only up to 3 stages or 3D. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Tigapanah in class X MIPA 1 and X MIPA 3, which consisted of 30 students and 15 students. Instruments in the form of validation sheets and measurement sheets of increasing student interest in learning. The results of the test of the validity of the virus material booklet are in the valid category to be used as a teaching material supplement, but in terms of increasing interest in learning the booklet has not been effective because the increase in student interest in learning is in the low category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the discovery learning assisted by teaching materials based on multi-representation to improve students' critical thinking skills and independent learning attitudes. The research applied used a pre-experiment type one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were students of class X MIPA SMA N 1 Kayen for the academic year 2020/2021. The samples in this study were students of class X MIPA 2 and X MIPA 7. The results showed that the two sample classes experienced an increase in critical thinking skills of 0.54 in the medium category and an increase in independent learning attitudes by 0.45 in the medium category. Before treatment, the pretest results were obtained with the results of 1.39% being a very critical category, 9.72% critical, 38.89% quite critical, and 50% less critical. After being treated with the application of the discovery model with multi-representation-based learning tools, the post test results showed that 26.39% of students were in the very critical category, 61.11% in the critical category, and 12.5% ​​in the moderately critical category. From the results of the N-Gain test, students experienced an increase of 18.06% in the high category, 65.28% in the medium category, and 16.67% in the low category. Classically, 81.94% of students complete the KKM. The independent learning attitude of students has increased by 0.45, namely in the medium category. Students experienced an increase of 18.03% in the high category, 63.89% in the medium category, and 18.06% in the low category. Before learning, 25% of the students were in the very independent category, 63.89% of the students were in the independent category, and 11.1% of the students were in the moderately independent category. After learning, 80.56% of students in the very independent category, 18.05% of students in the independent category, and 1.39% in the moderately independent category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of the discovery learning with multi-representation-based learning tools on ecosystem materials is effective for improving students' critical thinking skills and independent attitudes.

Abstract

Education in 21st century, students have creative thinking skills according to various intelligence. Basic competencies used are to train students to analyze ecosystem topics. This shows that basic competence is not enough to explain the concept. Therefore, it is necessary to developed interactive teaching materials that can facilitate the material delivered easily understood by students, one of which is e-book. The research objective is to produce interactive e-books based on multiple intelligences ecosystem topics to train creative thinking skills that are feasible theoretically and empirically. The study used the ADDIE model. Feasibility is theoretical in the form of validity, and empirical feasibility is readability tests and student response questionnaires. This research involved 15 students of class X MIPA 8 SMAN 2 Lamongan. Data analyzed descriptive quantitative. The results showed that e-book was feasible theoretically with a percentage of 97.16% and empirically feasible with a readability level of 10th and student responses with a percentage of 98.48%. That is, the e-book is theoretically and empirically feasible to implement in learning.

Abstract

Supplementary teaching materials were developed based on the analysis of student needs and observations in learning. Supplements are prepared as supporting teaching materials for teachers to assist in learning activities in the classroom. Researchers made observations on learning resources, the material on the animal digestive system did not contain relevant images, the textual discussion and the examples presented were less varied. One of the learning media that can help overcome these problems is by developing supplementary teaching materials for PBL-based animal digestive system materials to teach junior high school students mastery of concepts. The use of media during the learning process aims so that students can form their own concepts. This study aims to test the eligibility of teaching materials supplements based on validator assessments, test the readability of teaching materials supplements, analyze students' conceptual mastery by looking at improving learning outcomes through the n-gain test and analyze the practicality of teaching materials supplements based on teacher and student responses. This research uses the R&D approach and the ADDIE model. The sample used in this study was class VIII H SMP N 13 Semarang. The results of the assessment of the eligibility of the teaching material supplements were declared very feasible by material and media experts with feasibility scores of 88% and 95% respectively. The readability test of teaching material supplements was stated to be easy to understand with an average score of 82.5%. The n-gain test on the pretest and posttest obtained a result of 0.7 with high criteria. Teacher and students gave a practical or good response after using teaching material supplements as evidenced by an average score of 81% and score teacher response of 89%. Supplements for teaching materials based on PBL for animal digestive system materials that have been developed are effective in supporting learning.

Abstract

Education is an effort to develop the potential in students, the quality of education is determined by the quality of learning. The quality of learning in curriculum implementation aims to foster student character education with HOTS-based assessment (Higher Order Thinking Skill) or higher-order thinking skills that students must have in the 21st century. Students' higher-order thinking skills are analytical skills, analytical abilities can be identified by diagnostic tests . This study aims to develop HOTS items with a diagnostic test to identify students' analytical skills on environmental change learning for class X SMA/MA. The method used in this research is RnD (Research and Development) with a 4D model design including: Define, Design, Development and Desseminate. The subjects in this study were students of class XI and XII MIPA 1 and 2 SMA YSKI, Semarang for the academic year 2020/2021. Data was collected by observation, interviews and literature review. Data were taken from instruments which included: validation sheets, HOTS items with diagnostic tests to identify students' analytical skills, questionnaires for teacher and student responses. Data analysis includes content validation by experts, item validation with the help of Microsoft Excel and Rasch Model The student's analytical ability profile on the small-scale test is 44.8% and the large-scale test is 31.09%.

Abstract

Increasing community participation in efforts to conserve natural resources is one of the important factors in conservation efforts. Therefore, it is necessary to train the character of caring for the environment in the community, one of which is by integrating it into biology learning at school. The purpose of this research was to produce a valid and practical E-Atlas Avifauna Surabaya of Surabaya as Identification Tool of Birds and to Train Environmental Care Character for Grade X Students. This research used a 4D development model without the dissemination stage. The validity of the E-Atlas was measured based on validation from education experts, material experts, and media experts. The practicality of the E-Atlas was measured based on the response of education practitioners (teachers) and students to the E-Atlas, as well as the response of the students’ environmental care character. The data obtained were analyzed descriptive-quantitatively. The results showed that the E-Atlas Avifauna was declared valid or feasible with an overall mode of 4. The E-Atlas Avifauna was declared practical with a teacher’s practical response percentage of 97.7%, a students’ practical response percentage of 95.2%, and a caring character response students’ environment percentage of 80% and 84% with practical categories. Thus, it can be concluded that the E-Atlas Avifauna Surabaya that has been developed is declared valid and practical as an identification tool for birds and to train environmental care characters of X Grade students

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh penugasan proyek pada pembelajaran konsep sistem pernapasan manusia terhadap optimalisasi aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa SMA N 2 Sragen. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kelas XI IPA4 dan XI IPA5, pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara Simple Random Sampling dengan desain penelitian One Shot Case Study. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa aktivitas siswa, hasil belajar siswa, data kinerja guru, data tanggapan siswa, dan tanggapan guru. Analisis data hasil belajar diambil dari rata-rata nilai setiap aspek hasil belajar. Analisis data aktivitas siswa, tanggapan siswa dan guru serta kinerja guru menggunakan analisis deskriptif persentatif. Hasil penelitian diperoleh persentase siswa yang sangat aktif dan aktif mencapai 97,7% pada kelas XI IPA4 dan 98,9% pada kelas XI IPA5. Hasil belajar siswa mencapai ketuntasan KKM sebesar 100%. Pembelajaran konsep sistem pernapasan manusia melalui penugasan proyek dapat mengoptimalkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa SMA N 2 Sragen. The purpose of this research was to examine the influence of project assignments of human respiratory system on the optimized activities and students’ learning achievement at SMA N 2 Sragen. The research was conducted in classes XI IPA4 and XI IPA5, the sampling was taken by simple random sampling techniques and using design One Shot Case Study. Data was collected from students’ activities, learning achievement, teachers’ performance data, student’s response data, and teachers’ responses. Data analysis of the learning results were taken from the average scores of every aspects of learning achievement. Students’ activity data, responses of students and teachers, and teachers’ performance were analysed by descriptive percentage analysis. The results obtained by the percentage of students who were very active were reaching 97,7% in class XI IPA4 and 98,9% in class XI IPA5. Learning achievement already statisfied minimum passing grade ( KKM) by 100%. The learning concept of the human respiratory system through the project assignment can be optimized to influence the activity and student learning achievement at SMA N 2 Sragen.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan tingkat kompetensi profesional guru Biologi SMA di Kabupaten Pemalang pasca lulus sertifikasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 25 guru SMA di Kabupaten Pemalang yang sudah disertifikasi dan sampel yang digunakan adalah 11 guru diambil secara purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan dari observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan bahwa tingkat penguasaan materi guru yang sangat tinggi, tingkat keterampilan mengajar tinggi, dan tingkat kesesuaian pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan RPP tinggi.The purpose of this study was to examine the level of  professional competence of Biology teachers of SMA in Pemalang District, after Teacher Certification Award. This research used qualitative descriptive method. The population used in this study were 25 teachers of SMA in Pemalang District who were already certified and samples used were 11 teachers taken by purposive sampling. Data were collected from observation, interview and documentation. The results of this research showed that the teachers demonstrated their very high level mastery of material , high level of teaching skills, and the high consistency of learning activities to lesson plan.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan ujian nasional dan ujian masuk perguruan tinggi merupakan bentuk kompetisi untuk siswa kelas dua belas. Lembaga bimbingan belajar memberikan penawaran yang menarik dalam mempersiapkan siswa untuk ujian nasional dan ujian masuk perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan persepsi siswa kelas dua belas terhadap lembaga bimbingan belajar di Semarang. Ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan mengambil sampel dari 177 siswa kelas dua belas dari lima SMA negeri di Semarang. Siswa belajar untuk mengikuti bimbingandi lembaga les GO, Exains, Neutron dan Primagama. Variabel penelitian ini adalah persepsi siswa terhadap guru (tentor), fasilitas, media pembelajaran, bahan ajar, metode  pengajaran, evaluasi program, waktu pelaksanaan dan biaya les, terutama mata pelajaranbiology. Hasil penelitian adalah, nilai persepsi siswa terhadap staf pengajar(tentor), fasilitas, media pembelajaran, bahan pelajaran, metode mengajar,evaluasi program, waktu pelaksanaan dan biaya les dalam mata pelajaran Biologi antara 20% -86,70% setiap aspect. Simpulannya persepsi siswa terhadap lembaga-lembaga bimbingan belajar di Semarang baik. Oleh karena itu, guru dan sekolah harus dapat menanggapi persepsi siswa dari les dengan menerapkannya di sekolah.Implementation of the national exams and college entrance exams is a form of competition for the twelfth grade students. Institutions tutoring provides an attractive offer in preparingstudents for national exams and college entrance exams. This study aims to describe the perceptions of twelfth grade students of senior high school of the institute tutoring in Semarang. This study is a descriptive research by taking a sample of 177 twelfth grade students from five of state senior high schools in Semarang. Students learn to follow the  guidance in the institute tutoring GO, Exains, Neutron and Primagama. The variables of this study is the perception of students to wards teachers (tentor), facilities, instructional media, learning materials, teaching methods, program  evaluation, implementation time and cost tutoring subjects, especially biology. These results indicate the perception scores of students to teaching staff (tentor), facilities, instructional media, learning materials, teaching methods, program evaluation, implementation time and cost tutoring biology in particular subjects is 20% - 86.70% every aspect. Based on the results of the study concluded that student’s  perceptions is well to the institutions tutoring in the Semarang. There fore, teachers and schools should be able to respondto student’s perceptions of tutoring by applying it in schools.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui penerapan model hands on minds on dengan bantuan media asli terhadap hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa pada materi Spermatophyta di MAN Batang.Metodepenelitian yang digunakanadalah pre eksperimendengandesain one shoot case study. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MAN Batang. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah penerapan model hands on minds on dengan bantuan media asli pada materi Spermatophyta,dan variable terikatnya adalah hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa. Penelitian ini dikatakan berhasil apabila ketuntasan klasikal siswa?85 % dengan KKM ? 65.Secara individual rata-rata hasil belajar siswa di kedua kelas lebih dari 65, kelas X.1 74,83 dan kelas X.475,05. Ketuntasan secara klasikal persentasenya mencapai 91,42% untuk kelas X.1 dan kelas X.4 94,28%. Aktifitas siswa menunjukkan respon positif pada aktivitas pembelajarannya di kelas X.1 dan X.4 86,66% dan aktivitas praktikum mencapai kelas X.1 88,57% dan kelas X.4 93,33%.Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan hands on minds on dengan bantuan media asli dapat diterapkan pada materi Spermatophyta karena dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa.The research objectivesare to determine the application of  hands-on minds on models with the help of the original media on learning outcomes and activities of students on the  Spermatophyta material at the MAN Batang.The research method uses preexperimental design one shoot case study. The research was conducted at MAN Batang.This research is successful when students exhaustiveness classical KKM ? 85% with ? 65.Results showed that the average individuallearning outcomes of students in both classes over 65, for classes and class X.1 74.83 75.05 X.4. Exhaustiveness in the classical percentage reached 91.42% for class and class X.1X.4 94.28%. Student activity showed a positive response on learning activities in class and X.4 X.1 86.66% and achieving a class lab activity X.1 88.57% and 93.33% X.4 class. Fromthe research results can be concluded that the application of hands-on Minds on with the help of the original media can be applied to the material Spermatophyta with the average student to achieve ? 65 and ? 85% classical exhaustiveness.
