Abstract

ABSTRACT Asparagus Farm Performance in Pelaga Village, Petang District, Badung Regency. Asparagus farm including a newly developed farming in Bali. The purpose of this study was to determine the allocation of the costs of the farm asparagus, and how the performance of asparagus farming in Pelaga village, Petang District, Badung Regency in terms of BEP analysis and DOL. Costs necessary for the asparagus farming is quite high, Rp. 28.310,00 for a year. Results of the BEP analysis showed that farming asparagus is able to provide benefits to farmers, where the selling price per kg of asparagus in the market (Rp. 28.310.00) greater than the BEP selling price (Rp. 17.625,00) and the price per kg in the market is stable because there was no change to the current price. In terms of quantity, the quantity sold farmers still higher (1.420 kg / year) of the BEP quantity (381  kg / year) with an average land area of ??15 acres. DOL analysis value of 1,37 shows that farm profits will continue to grow in line with increased production in which every 10% increase in production will drive the gain of 13,7%. Asparagus farming is very promising views of BEP analysis and DOL, but in the field there are many farmers experiencing farm constraints, government assistance and mertanadi koperasi particularly needed to assist both in terms of production facilities and technical farming and land development asparagus very well done to make a point higher profits for farmers. Abstract

ABSTRACT Comparison of sweet corn and rice farm Income in Subak Delod Sema, Padanggalak Kesiman Petilan village, East Denpasar. Sweet corn as a farm commodities is a favorite food especially in town. Sweet corn cultivation has an opportunity to give high benefit if done by effective and efficient system. The election of research area is done by purposive because subak Delod Sema as a central of sweet corn in Denpasar. We take 35 sweet corn farmers and 15 rice farmers (opportunity cost)  from 177 sweet corn farmers as our respondent and we use Slovin Theory. Than 56 rice farmers (opportunity cost) with proportional random sampling method. The purposes of this research are for knowing farmer income, marketing process, and farmer problems. The result of this research show that real income rate which got by farmer from sweet corn farm operations are Rp 9,263,218/month/ha bigger that's all million that is Rp 6,727,102/month/ha (57,01%) get more by rice as opportunity cost Rp 2,536,116/month/ha. This situation show that advantages in the same wide area for sweet corn farm operations get more value than rice cultivation. There are two ways for distribution their sweet corn product such as: first, start from farmer as producer to collector further to consumer. Second, start from farmer as producer to collector than collector to retail in market further to consumer. There are problem faced by sweet corn farmer such as: climate change, exchange price, rare access to investor, and decrease of price information. Based this research we suggest to farmer that sweet corn farm operations as daily profession and more active browsing information in create farm operations. Abstract

ABSTRACT Contribution Revenue Ornamental Fish Fishermen Against Total Household Income in the SeranganVillage The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) the costand revenue  structure fishermen fish in the Serangan Village (2) ornamental fish revenue contribution to total household income of fishermen fish in the Serangan Village (3) The constraints faced by fishermen ornamental fish culture in running the business. The method used in this study consisted of observation, in-depth interviews, literature review and survey. Data have been obtained were then analyzed by the method of farm analysis. Research results indicate that (1) The average cost of production of ornamental fish business in the village of attack is Rp10.247.084,00/cycle consisting of variable cash cost of   Rp 6.405.430.00 (62,51%), variable costs instead of cash amounting to Rp 2.447.059,00 (23,88%), and a flat fee of Rp 1.394.595,00 (13,61%) and the average amount of revenue obtained from the fishermen ornamental fish farming in the amount of   Rp. 17.329.412.00/cycle and The average income of the fishermen of ornamental fish farming in the Serangan Village is Rp. 7.082.328.00/cycle (2) Contribution to the cultivation of ornamental fish total household income of fishermen in the village was 48,56% Attack This means income from ornamental fish farming contributes greatly to the total household income of fishermen. (3) The constraints or problems faced by fishermen in the cultivation of ornamental fish disease during weather disturbances which makes fishing difficult to regulate the temperature of the water in the pond/aquarium that can bedetrimental to fishermen. Abstract

ABSTRACT Comparison between Farmers Household Income in The Subak of Tourism and Non Tourism Area Household income of farmers in the area of subak in tourism and non tourism is different. Diversity of household income of farmers in Subak tourism and non-tourism areas makes it worthy to be known in order to see the effect of tourism on agriculture, especially subak development. The research objective is to determine the ratio of household income from agriculture and non-agricultural sectors in the subak of tourism and non tourism area. Total income of farm households in the subak areas of tourism and non-tourism income derived from agriculture and non-farm sector income. Income households in the tourist areas of the agricultural sector amounted to 14.39% while the non-agricultural sector amounted to 85.61%. The households’ income in non-tourism areas of the agricultural sector amounted to 35.64%. Research shows total income of farm households in the area of ??tourism and non-tourism is different. It can be seen from the t- test with a significance value of 0.000 with a t-value of 4.003. Subak farmers in the tourism area are  expected to set aside revenue from non agricultural sector to increase income from non-agricultural sector, farmers in the non tourism a part from relying on the main livelihood from agriculture  they also rely on non-agricultural sector as side income so that livelihoods of farmers' household income increased, members farming households are expected to remain as in average farmers have started entering unproductive age so the need for regeneration is highly required. Abstract

ABSTRACT Effect of Fermentation Cocoa Processing and Non Fermentation on The Quality and Pricing Products on Tunjung Sari Unit Produktive in Tabanan District The purpose of this study was to determine influence how a cocoa processing fermented and non fermented on the quality and price of the product and to determine constraints face on Tunjung Sari Unit Produktif in the processing of fermented and non-fermented cocoa on product quality and price. The method use  observation, interviews and literature study to record relevant information. then analyzed with descriptive and qualitative analysis. The results showed that the method of processing cocoa enough to affect the quality and price of products on Tunjung Sari unit Produktif. Processing cocoa bean fermentation yield account (number of seeds) 120 seeds per hundred grams while non fermented bean seeds acount 118 percent gram, fermented cocoa color to blackish brown in color while the non fermented brown light, aroma of cocoa beans have a distinctive fermentation processing chocolate aroma while the non-fermentation processing does not have a distinctive smell like chocolate, slaty (purple beans) fermented cocoa maximum of 3-5%, while the non-fermented seeds no slaty (purple beans) slaty occur due to the fermentation process less than three days, in the form of fermentation of cocoa beans has a texture that is hollow while the non-textured solid fermentation, the level of moisture content of cocoa beans fermented 7% and 7.5% non-fermented and fermented cocoa beans price of Rp 19.500/kg while non fermented Rp 17.000/kg. Abstract

ABSTRACT Orange Honey Value Chain Management at Barus Jahe Sub-District Barus Jahe Regency Karo, North Sumatra. Orange is kind of horticulture are much favored by the public. One of the problems for citrus growers are constrained in citrus marketing system that is less efficient. therefore needs required a citrus marketing system that is efficient and provides benefits for farmers to sell their products without spending a huge cost. This study aimed to determine (1) the pattern of commodity value chains honey orange at Barus Jahe. (2) may at any gains in the value chain. (3) the effect on value chain management at Barus Jahe. The research was conducted in Barus Ginger, North Sumatra. Data obtained from this village were analyzed using descriptive methods. The study found that the value chain system in the village is divided into three, namely (1) farmers - traders - market - consumers. (2) farmers - market - retailer - consumer. (3) farmers - merchants - retailers - agents - consumers. Value chain lies in achieving the highest sales channel III. Marketing margins in the channel I Rp. 2500 (25%), channel II Rp. 3000 (30%), channell III Rp. 4500 (45%). The results of the analysis of value chain management applications that occurred in the study area is said to run pretty good. Key words : value chain, orange honey, value chain management

Abstract

ABSTRACT The Study on Implementation of Agro Commodities Auction Market in The Industry and Trade Service of The Province of Bali In the marketing of agricultural products, the most common problem was the gap of unfair of price that accepted by producer farmers by prices paid by the final consumer. Various reasons that lead to margin of trading system, that are weak bargaining position of farmers, farmers tend subject to the buyer rule, the cost of transport from production centers to the end of consumer market. Work program in the Industry and Trade service of the Province of Bali was conduct activity of agro commodities auction market, which is one of medium to aid to facilitate the meeting of buyers and sellers directly. The aim of this study was to find out the implementation of agro commodities auction market conducted by the Industry and Trade service as well as the constraints in conduct activity of the agro commodity auction market. Locations of study were selected by purposive sampling. Data collected by the method of observation, in-depth interviews and documentary study. Data have been analyzed descriptively. The results of study showed that the performance of auction market not yet to show maximum results. Levels of productivity were very high fluctuation for each implementation.  Problems of fail to deliver and fail to pay occur estimated very low integrity and credible participants, the constraints in the implementation of agro commodity auction market was weak underwriting system, uncertain membership, the formulation of quality standards, as well as the types of commodities that enter the auction market. Implication of important policy will be done by formulate quality standards, priorities of traded commodity, and maximize the role of private sector. Abstract

ABSTRACT Farmers’ Perception toward Awarding Degree Subak as World Cultural Heritage - Study Case in Subak Pulagan Tampaksiring District Gianyar Region Subak is the organization that regulates the irrigation system used in the rice field in Bali. Subak unique culture has an element of mutual support and the concept of Tri Hita Karana makes UNESCO decided to give awarding degree to subak as world cultural heritage. One of that subak is Subak Pulagan which one fed by the watershed (DAS) Pakerisan. Respondents in this research were 34 farmers taken from 160 farmers decided by random sampling method. Perceptions and expectations seen from three aspects, they’re mindset, social, and material aspects. Data analysis is done by descriptive – qualitative calculations using Likert scale. Perceptions result shown 83.63% or on good category. Almost all respondents said the response was excellent or agree with the statement in the questionnaires. Farmers' perceptions based on aspects of mindset has score 73.53% or on good category, social aspect’s score is 90.76% or on very well category, and material aspects’s score is 86.62% which is on very good category. They have hopes to make farmer’s life better in the future. Based on this study it can be seen that the members of Subak Pulagan still need the things related to improving productivity and enhancing the quality of life in order to retain continuity subak.
