Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the application of a geometric mosaic can improve the spatial-visual intelligence of children aged 5-6 years. This research was conducted at Mutiara Hati kindergarten in Manyaran, Semarang by using a pre-experimental design method in the form of One Group Pretest-Posttest. The populations in this study were 45 children of class B in Mutiara Hati kindergarten in Manyaran, Semarang. The sampling technique in this study is purposive sampling, where the criteria for determining the sample are children who do not understand the criteria for spatial-visual ability. The sample used in this study was 30 children. The data from the pretest and posttest were processed using the SPSS application. The researcher also collected documentation that served as supporting data. The data results were obtained through statistical calculations through paired sample t-test. The results of the calculation of the hypothesis can be accepted then the value of tcount must be smaller than ttable (tcount <ttabel) and Sig. <0.05. The results show that the value of tcount <ttabel is -7,350 <1,697 and Sig. 0,000 <0.05 so that Ha can be accepted. Based on this description, it can be concluded that the geometric mosaic can improve the spatial-visual intelligence of children aged 5-6 years at Mutiara Hati kindergarten in Manyaran, Semarang.

The main informant in this study is 3 parents who have toddlers, and triangulation informants 1 TPA chairman, 1 health center health worker, 1 Posyandu cadre. Data analysis technique uses the theory of Milles and Huberman. The validity of the data uses the method triangulation. The results of this study are that the family of TPA scavengers already know personal hygiene and every day serves healthy food that contains nutrition for their families, especially to children, by paying attention to personal hygiene when serving food, but there are still residents in the environment around the landfill who do not keep themselves clean properly and the living environment that does not receive enough attention from the cleanliness aspect. Abstract

This study aims to explain the differences and improvement of the cooperation ability of children aged 5-6 years based on the application of the sociodrama method. The hypothesis in this study is that there are differences and improvements in the cooperation ability of children aged 5-6 years based on the application of the sociodrama method. This research uses quantitative research by using the One Group pretest-posttest design experimental method. The subjects in this research were children aged 5-6 years who became students in ABA 27 Kindergarten in Semarang, Gajahmungkur, Semarang City, group B, amounting to 30 children. The data collection technique used the cooperative ability scale, while the data analysis used the Paired Sample t-Test and Percentage Techniques. The results showed that there were differences and improvements in the cooperative ability of children aged 5-6 years based on the application of the sociodrama method. There are differences in the cooperative ability of children aged 5-6 years. The cooperative ability of children aged 5-6 years is higher after being given treatment. The increase in the cooperative ability with children aged 5-6 years based on the application of the sociodrama method was 38.03%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of the students’ perceptions about Teacher Professional Educational Program (PPG) on the interest in becoming a certified teacher in the Early Childhood Teacher Education (PGPAUD) study program, faculty of education, UNNES. Students’ perceptions about PPG and interest in becoming certified teachers are interrelated. One of the requirements for someone wanting to become a professional teacher and having certification has to take PPG. The program is aimed at graduates of S1 / D4 education and non-education. The approach used is quantitative with survey methods. The populations of this study are the active students of PGPAUD UNNES 2017. The number of samples that have been taken using a proportional random sampling technique is 78 students from 3 classes. The data collection techniques used a questionnaire. All calculations use SPSS 24. Based on statistical calculations using Linear Regression, a significance value (Sig.) Of 0.00 is obtained, which means it is smaller than the significance level of 0.05 or 0.00 <0.05, then Ha is accepted. The results of the study using simple linear regression analysis showed there was an effect of 59.4% and the remaining 40.6% was influenced by other factors not covered in the study. This shows that students' perceptions about PPG have an influence on the interest in becoming a certified teacher. This research suggests that educational student graduates must be more enthusiastic and increase their confidence to be able to compete with non-education students to become certified, competent, and professional teachers.
