Abstract

Mapping of Land Ownership and Human Resources Based Geospatial in Subak Anggabaya, Umadesa, and Umalayu East Denpasar Subdisticts Subak Anggabaya, Umadesa, and Umalayu have been recommended as Suistainable Food Agriculture Land areas. To support it, information database on agricultural resources potential are needed to support Government Regulation number 25 of 2012. The role of mapping and information is needed for planning and monitoring in maintaining land use in Subak Anggabaya, Umadesa, and Umalayu. The purposes of research: Knowing, inventorying and describing the ownership of paddy fields in Subak Anggabaya, Umadesa, and Umalayu which are highly recommended for LP2B, develop a database of human resources in each polygon of land ownership, designing a human resources information system. Research methods use: (1) literature study, (2) satellite image analysis, (3) tentative mapping of land ownership, (4) field survey, (5) arraging resources information. The results of research showed: land ownership maps in three subak totaling is 258 polygons, consisting of 96 polygons in Subak Anggabaya, 62 polygons in Subak Umadesa and 100 polygons in Subak Umalayu. The farmer's human resources database consists of the farmer's name, farmer's address, farmer's age, farmer's education, large, owner's name, owner's address, and profit sharing system. Land ownership map consisting of owner farmers and sharecroppers. Subak Anggabaya: owner (28 peoples) large 11,5 ha,sharecroppers (35 peoples) large 12,22 ha; Subak Umadesa: owner (22 peoples) large 3,93 ha, sharecroppers (20 peoples) large 7,10 ha; Subak Umalayu: owner (32 peoples) large 11,80 ha, sharecroppers (33 peoples) large 13,25 ha.

Abstract

The Population Analysis of Spinach (Amaranthus Spp. L) and Green Mustard (Brassica Juncea L.) Crops on Verticulture System Production of spinach and mustard greens in Denpasar is still low. The effort to increase the vegetables production need to be done with a verticultural system but the crops population should be considered. Therefore, a greenhouse experiment to find out the optimal population of spinach and mustard greens grown under verticulture system had done on July - November 2016 in Denpasar. The experiments was conducted using randomized split block design with three replications. The treatments were consisting spinach and green mustard as the main plot and the additional factor consisted of five population levels, namely 8, 12, 16, 20 and 24 plants per container. The total number of experimental units was 30. The population effect of spinach and mustard greens was shown on fresh weight variables per plant which were analyzed by regression analysis. The results of the regression analysis on fresh weight variables per plant showed that the population negatively affected the fresh weight of spinach plants per plant and had a positive effect on the fresh weight of green mustard plants per plant.

Abstract

Antagonistic test of Bacillus siamensis and Paenibacillus polymyxa against the growth of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides the cause of Antracnose disease in cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescent L.) Colletorichum gloeosporioides is one of latent pathogens that can infect several agricultural crops. This pathogenic fungus is very detrimental to the production of cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.). The purpose of this research was to determine the ability of Bacillus siamensi and Paenibacillus polymyxa in inhibiting the growth of C. gloeosporioides KLCR2 causes of anaplosal disease. Research was conducted in Biopesticide laboratory. Results showed that treatment with antagonistic bacteria significantly (P<0.05) inhibited the growth of C. gloeosporioides on potato dextrose agar (PDA) medium. Treatment with B. siamensis was able to inhibit the growth of C. gloeosporioides with inhibitory activity by 96.18%. While for the treatment with P.polymyxa the inhibitory activity was 84.79%. Treatment with B. siamensi depressed the biomass of C. gloeosporioides KLCR2. In this study, treatment with cell-free filtrate of B. siamensis at concentration of 50% was able to suppress the development of C. gloeosporioides with a percentage of inhibitory activity by 94.15%. Further study is necessary to evaluate the ability of the B. siamensis to inhibit the development of C. gloeosporioides KLCR2 in vivo on cayenne pepper fruit.

Abstract

Detection of Potyvirus in Mosaic Symptomatic Euphorbia heterophylla in Melon Planting Area in the city of Denpasar Melon (Cucumis melo L.) is a horticultural plant which is included in the Cucurbitaceae group and is highly favored by the community. The development of melon cultivation has faced some obstacles that cause the level of consumption of melon can not be fulfilled. Viruses in plants have a wide range of hosts including several weeds that can be alternative hosts and as a source of inoculums. Potyvirus group is the largest group of plant viruses and plays an important role in causing harm. This research was conducted to determine whether weeds can potentially as an alternative host of Potyvirus so that they can be used as reference materials for academics and farmers so that they take strategies to control weeds in melon plants. Variations in symptoms found in the field include mosaics, vein banding, vein clearing, and chlorosis. The method used in this study was the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR). The research activities include (1) sampling and (2) detection and identification of potyviruses in weeds. The results of this study found that Euphorbia heterophylla weeds could become alternative hosts for Potyvirus. The RT-PCR technique succeeded in amplifying target DNA fragments measuring 683 bp according to the CIFOR / CIREV universal primers used in samples from Denpasar.

Abstract

Land Suitability For Fruits Plants And Plantations Based On Geographic Information Systems On Dry Land In Yeh Ho Watershed, Tabanan Regency This research aims to discover the actual and potential of land suitability, limited factor, improvement effort, land use management, and the creation of land suitability maps and direction of use land for fruit plants and plantations. Plants that are evaluated include pomelo, durian, banana, passion fruit, vanilla, pepper, robusta coffee, arabika coffee, coconut and cocoa. The research was conducted in Yeh Ho Watershed Tabanan Regency from January 2020 to March 2020. The research method uses the land evaluation survey method. Land suitability assessment is carried out to the sub-class level, by matching the quality of the land with the growing requirements of the plants evaluated. The results showed that classes of actual land suitability for fruits plants and plantations are S1 (very suitable) until N (not suitable). The limited factors in the research area include: temperature, rainfall, dry month, humidity, texture, coarse material, soil depth, pH, salinity, slope, erosion hazard, surface rock, and the rock outcrops. Improvement of the land-suitability can be done with improvement effort except temperature, rainfall, humidity, coral material, surface rock, and rock outcrops because they are permanent barrier factor. Potential suitability class of land for some fruit plants and plantations evaluated are S1 (highly suitable) until S3 (marginal suitable), with limited factors among others temperature, rainfall, humidity, coarse material, surface rock, and rock outcrops factors. Land use recommendations on LCKIVKc and ACKIVTg for robusta coffee plants; ACKIVKc for pomelo plants; LCKIIKc for durian, banana, pomelo, coconut and pepper plants; LCKIIITg for pepper and vanilla plants; LCKIIIKc for pomelo and banana plants.
