Abstract

Patih Udawa is a puppet character who is the son-in-law of Patih Sengkuni. If Patih Udawa has a positive character with several shortcomings, then Patih Sengkuni predominantly has a negative character. This qualitative research using literature study will analyze Patih Udawa's character from the perspective of Islamic religious teachings. The data analysis technique uses content analysis by sorting things according to the focus and objectives of the research. This research resulted in the conclusion that Patih Udawa has several positive characteristics that are significant to the teachings of the Islamic religion as follows, among others: honest and significant to the QS. Al-Ahzab verse 70 and HR. Bukhari; obeying the orders of the king or leader (ulil amri) is significant with QS. An-Nisa verse 59; significant fidelity with QS. Al-Ahzab verse 23 and QS. An-Nahl verse 95; clever at adapting to circumstances in the sense of being filled with tenderness and significant affection with QS. Ali Imran verse 159 and HR. Muslim; and significant savvy with HR. Ahmad, HR. Bukhari, and HR. Turmudzi. One of Patih Udawa's shortcomings is his lack of skill in solving problems. Patih Udawa's incompetence in resolving significant problems with QS. Al-Ahzab verse 27 where humans always commit wrongdoing and are stupid towards themselves. However, Patih Udawa's lack of competence does not make him a completely negative character. This is different from the nature and character of his father-in-law, namely Patih Sengkuni, whose negative side is more dominant.

Abstract

Keberhasilan dalam pembelajaran tergantung pada metode yang digunakan. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan studi kepustakaan ini membahas beragam metode pembelajaran pendidikan multikultural. Teknik analisanya menggunakan analisis isi dengan memilah-milah data yang sesuai dengan fokus penelitian. Tulisan ini menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa metode untuk mengintegrasikan materi pembelajaran pendidikan multikultural, antara lain: (1) motode kontribusi  diimplementasikan pada peserta didik TK dan SD kelas bawah (I, II, III); (2) metode aditif diimplementasikan pada peserta didik SD kelas atas (IV, V, VI) dan SMP yang sudah mulai mampu memahami makna; (3) metode transformasi diimplementasikan dalam melihat konsep, isu, tema, dan problem dari beberapa perspektif dan sudut pandang etnis; (4) metode aksi sosial diimplementasikan untuk peserta didik dalam melakukan kritik sosial, membuat keputusan, memperoleh pendidikan politis, menjadikan peserta didik reflektif dan partisipan terlatih dalam perubahan sosial. Selain itu, ada beberapa metode pembelajaran yang dapat diimplementasikan dalam pendidikan multikultural, antara lain: metode pembiasaan, metode keteladanan, metode pemberian ganjaran, metode pemberian hukuman, metode ceramah, metode tanya jawab, metode diskusi, dan lain sebagainya. Seorang guru hendaknya memilih metode pembelajaran yang sesuai agar tujuan pembelajaran bisa berjalan maksimal.

Abstract

Islam contains teachings that are in accordance with all times so that the nine pillars of character values ​​offered by the Indonesia Heritage Foundation (IHF) feel significant with the two main sources of the religion, namely the Qur'an and the Hadith. This qualitative research with a literature study will discuss the significance of the nine pillars of character values ​​with Islamic teachings in a multi-religious society. The data analysis technique uses content analysis by sorting things that are in accordance with the focus and objectives of the study. This study found that the nine pillars of character values ​​offered by the Indonesia Heritage Foundation (IHF) are significant with Islamic teachings based on the Qur'an and the Hadith, so that they can be practiced by Muslims in a multi-religious society such as in Indonesia. For example, love for God and the universe is significant in the contents of Surah Ali Imran verse 31, Surah Al-Baqarah verse 165, Surah Al-A'raf verse 56, Surah Shad verse 28, HR. Bukhari, HR. Abu Dawud, and several other hadiths; responsibility, discipline, and independence are significant with the contents of Surah Al-Mudatsir verse 38, Surah Al-Isra verse 36, Surah An-Nahl verse 90, Surah Al-Baqarah verse 286, Surah An-Nisa’ verse 59, Surah Al-Ashr verse 1-3, Surah Ar-Ra’d verse 11, HR. Bukhari and Muslim, and HR. Abu Daud; and others.
