Abstract

The new student admission process serves as the main gateway to higher education institutions, requiring a modern system that is efficient, transparent, and easy to use. This research aims to design a new SPMB prototype that integrates CBT features, biodata management, and real-time graduation announcements. The development approach used is the Waterfall model, with implementation through the PHP programming language and Tailwind CSS framework to create a responsive interface. Results indicate that applying a utility-first interface significantly improves user experience (UX) for prospective students throughout registration and selection exams. Furthermore, the prototype includes an automated scoring algorithm that facilitates efficient academic graduation decisions.

Abstract

The student admission process in many schools is still conducted manually, including data recording, selection, and announcement of results. This conventional method often leads to inefficiency, data inaccuracies, and delays in decision-making. This study aims to design and develop a web-based Student Admission System (SPMB) to assist schools in managing the registration and selection of prospective students in a computerized manner. The system allows administrators to input applicant data, perform automatic selection based on predefined criteria such as academic average scores and distance from the student’s residence to the school, and display selection results efficiently. The implementation results indicate that the proposed system improves the efficiency, accuracy, and transparency of the student admission process. By automating data management and selection procedures, the web-based SPMB application provides an effective solution to support school administrative activities.

Abstract

The student admission process (SPMB) is a crucial stage in educational management at schools. Manual admission procedures often cause various problems, such as delays in data processing, recording errors, and limited transparency of information for prospective students and parents. This study aims to design and implement a web-based student admission system at a Superior School to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and the quality of registration services. The research method applied is a system development approach consisting of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and testing stages. The results show that the web-based SPMB system is able to facilitate online registration, provide academic information, and manage prospective student data in a structured and integrated manner. This system is expected to support school administrators in decision-making processes and to provide easy access to information for the public.

Abstract

The MTs Yapima Depok website is an official information platform designed to provide comprehensive and accurate information about educational services and activities at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Yapima Depok. This website serves as a communication and publication medium that presents the school profile, vision and mission, organizational structure, academic programs, student activities, and new student admission information. In addition, the website supports transparency and public access to information for students, parents, teachers, and the wider community. Through an informative and user-friendly interface, the MTs Yapima Depok website is expected to enhance information services, strengthen the institution’s image, and support the integration of information technology in madrasah education management.

Abstract

The development of information technology requires educational institutions to improve service efficiency, including in the new student admission process. This study aims to design and implement a web- based New Student Admission Selection (SPMB) information system at Sanad University (UNISAN) using the Waterfall method. The system is designed to overcome the problems of manual registration which is time- consuming and risks data loss. The application integrates key features such as prospective student account registration, biodata completion, document uploading, and graduation verification by admins. Development was carried out using the Native PHP programming language and MySQL database. The implementation results show that this application is able to facilitate prospective students in registering online and assist the PMB committee in managing applicant data centrally and efficiently.

Abstract

The New Student Admission (PMB) process in many higher education institutions is still conducted manually or semi-digitally, resulting in various problems such as delays in data processing, recording errors, and low effectiveness in the registration process. This study aims to design and develop a web-based New Student Admission Information System (SPMB) that facilitates online registration for prospective students and assists universities in managing admission data in an integrated manner. The system development method used in this study is the Waterfall method, which consists of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and testing stages. The result of this study is a web-based SPMB system capable of managing applicant data efficiently and simplifying the registration process. The developed system is expected to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the new student admission process.

Abstract

Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru (PPDB) merupakan proses penting dalam administrasi sekolah yang bertujuan untuk mengelola pendaftaran calon peserta didik. Pada beberapa sekolah, proses PPDB masih dilakukan secara manual sehingga menimbulkan permasalahan seperti keterlambatan pendaftaran, kesalahan pencatatan data, dan kesulitan dalam pengelolaan informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun website PPDB berbasis web guna mempermudah proses pendaftaran dan pengelolaan data calon peserta didik. Metode pengembangan sistem yang digunakan adalah metode Waterfall dengan tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, implementasi, dan pengujian. Website dikembangkan menggunakan PHP dan MySQL. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem PPDB berbasis web mampu meningkatkan efisiensi pendaftaran serta mempermudah pihak sekolah dan calon peserta didik dalam mengakses informasi secara online.

Abstract

The The New Student Admission Selection (SPMB) process requires a system capable of managing registration data in a structured and easily accessible manner. Manual data management has the potential to cause problems such as recording errors, process delays, and difficulties in managing applicant information. Therefore, the design and development of a web-based SPMB information system using the Agile method was conducted. The Agile method was applied to support an iterative and incremental development process, allowing system requirements to be adjusted according to user needs during development. The system provides features for online prospective student registration, applicant data management by administrators, and the delivery of selection result information. The results indicate that the developed system functions properly and supports more effective and organized management of new student admission data.
