Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using Heyzine-based digital flipbook media in enhancing students' cognitive understanding and affective engagement regarding "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika" (Unity in Diversity) in Pancasila and Civic Education (PPKN). Amidst 21st-century educational challenges, integrating innovative technology is essential to transform students from passive recipients into active participants. This research employs a mixed-methods approach with data triangulation techniques involving surveys, interviews, and classroom observations. Participants were selected using purposive sampling, encompassing educators across various levels to obtain a holistic perspective. The results indicate that flipbook integration significantly improves information retention and academic performance (evidenced by pre-test and post-test comparisons). Affectively, this media strengthens students' emotional connection to the values of diversity and tolerance through personalized, dynamic, and interactive learning experiences. However, the study also identifies challenges such as potential cognitive distraction, risks of excessive screen time, and systemic barriers related to digital access gaps. These findings underscore the importance of a blended learning approach that balances digital literacy with face-to-face social interaction. In conclusion, the synergy between substantial PPKN content and innovative technology not only optimizes learning outcomes but also creates an inclusive educational ecosystem that prepares students to become critical and adaptive global citizens.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive E-LKPD based on liveworksheets for the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS), specifically on the topic of changes in the state of matter for fourth-grade students at SD Gugus II Kubutambahan District. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) study using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The subjects of this study were fourth-grade teachers and students in the selected elementary schools. The results showed that the developed E-LKPD media obtained very high validity levels, with material expert validation of 0.90, media expert validation of 0.94, and language expert validation of 0.91. In addition, the practicality test results showed very positive responses, with 97% from teachers and 96% from students, categorized as very practical. These results indicate that the developed media is feasible for use in the learning process. In conclusion, the interactive E-LKPD based on Liveworksheets is valid and practical to be used as a learning media to help students understand the concept of changes in the state of matter in a more engaging, interactive, and meaningful way

Abstract

Education at the Elementary School (SD) level plays a fundamental role in shaping the foundation of literacy, numeracy, and character in students. Interactive media is a tool used by teachers to deliver lesson material to students. The main benefit is that media can make the lesson message or information clearer and easier for students to understand. The approach applied in this research is the literature review, where data is collected through the analysis of literature review. Genially is a web-based platform that allows for the creation of multimedia content with interactive features such as presentations, maps, games, and animated images. Genially is a digital platform specifically created to make it easier for teachers to produce various teaching aids. Genially is an online platform designed to facilitate the creation of interactive educational content. This platform addresses the varied learning needs of students, covering visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles. Genially serves as a tool for producing media that provides visual stimuli and interactive touches (clicks, hovers, transitions). The main aspects emphasized in the design are the interactivity features and visual elements. The primary goal of this research is to produce and prove the effectiveness of Genially-based IPAS learning media for 5th-grade elementary school students. The implementation of Interactive Genially Media in the IPAS (Science, Social Studies, and Environmental Education) subject is highly relevant for application in 5th grade of elementary school.

Abstract

This development research aimed to produce a digital comic learning media suitable for teaching the Indonesian Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject on the topic Indonesian Cultural Heritage Recognized Worldwide for sixth-grade elementary school students and to evaluate its validity and practicality. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), although the research was conducted only up to the implementation stage. The study was carried out in Cluster VI Elementary Schools, Sawan District, involving three expert validators (content, media, and language experts), two sixth-grade teachers, and 20 sixth-grade students. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques. The developed product was a digital comic created using Canva with Artificial Intelligence support and published as a digital flipbook through Heyzine. The learning media presents instructional content in several episodes and is enriched with interactive features, audio narration, cultural information buttons, learning summaries, and evaluation quizzes. The validity assessment yielded an Aiken's V index of 0.90, indicating a very high level of validity based on evaluations by the content, media, and language experts. The practicality test showed average scores of 92% from teachers and 90% from students, both categorized as very practical. These findings indicate that the developed digital comic learning media meets the criteria of validity and practicality and is therefore suitable for use as an alternative IPAS learning medium to promote more engaging, interactive, and meaningful learning experiences for sixth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

Advancements in digital technology encourage teachers to utilize innovative learning media to enhance the quality of the student learning process. One such medium is interactive multimedia created with Canva, which integrates text, images, animations, video, audio, and interactive quizzes into a single learning tool. This study aims to analyze the application of Canva-based interactive multimedia regarding the topic of changes in the state of matter within the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject for fourth-grade elementary students. The study employs a qualitative approach using the library research method. Data were collected through a review of various scholarly sources—including national and international journal articles, books, conference proceedings, and education policy documents—relevant to learning multimedia, Canva, and the topic of changes in the state of matter. The data were analyzed using content analysis techniques involving collection, reduction, categorization, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the application of Canva-based interactive multimedia fosters a learning environment that is more engaging, interactive, and student-centered. The use of this medium helps students grasp concepts regarding changes in the state of matter through concrete visualizations, boosts learning motivation, strengthens engagement in the learning process, and cultivates critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Furthermore, Canva-based interactive multimedia enables teachers to present material systematically and in a manner suited to the characteristics of elementary school students. Thus, Canva-based interactive multimedia is a viable alternative learning medium for the IPAS topic of changes in the state of matter, supporting the implementation of effective and meaningful learning in elementary schools.
