Abstract

Partners in this community service activity are Jogja Flight students. The goals and targets to be achieved in community service for Jogja Flight students are to increase students' knowledge about one of the aircraft systems, namely air conditioning. With this activity, it is hoped that it can increase students' provisions in job competition in the aviation world. To achieve the goals and targets of this community service program, partners are given training on air conditioning systems in the form of writing, pictures or videos during this activity. After this activity, Jogja Flight students have an additional ability of 90% which was initially only 17% about the Boeing 737-200 aircraft air conditioning system which is useful as added value when working later.

Abstract

Keterbatasan literasi energi pada usia sekolah dasar dapat menghambat tumbuhnya kesadaran terhadap pemanfaatan energi bersih. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan mengenalkan prinsip kerja, manfaat, dan penerapan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS) kepada siswa kelas V SDN Mangunharjo, Kota Semarang. Kegiatan diikuti oleh 14 siswa dan dilaksanakan melalui pemaparan singkat, demonstrasi alat peraga, praktik perakitan secara berkelompok, pengoperasian panel surya di luar ruangan, serta evaluasi lisan menggunakan lima pertanyaan. Alat peraga berupa miniatur panel surya digunakan untuk menyalakan lampu dan kipas kecil serta menunjukkan proses pengisian baterai. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan keterlibatan aktif siswa selama proses perakitan dan demonstrasi. Siswa yang berpartisipasi dalam sesi evaluasi mampu menjelaskan bahwa panel surya mengubah energi matahari menjadi energi listrik, menyebutkan manfaat energi surya, dan memberikan contoh penerapannya pada peralatan sehari-hari. Guru pendamping dan kepala sekolah juga menilai alat peraga membantu penyampaian materi energi pada pembelajaran IPAS. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran langsung menggunakan alat peraga PLTS dapat menjadi pendekatan yang konkret dan menarik untuk mengenalkan energi terbarukan kepada siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Bench work (kerja bangku) is a foundational manual-skills practicum in mechanical and manufacturing engineering education. It requires sustained non-neutral postures—forward trunk flexion, downward neck flexion toward the vice, and repetitive upper-limb exertion—that expose students to work-related musculoskeletal disorder (WMSD) risk early in their careers. Conventional ergonomic evaluation relies on manual observation, which is subjective, labour-intensive, and difficult to scale across large student cohorts. This study presents a markerless computer-vision pipeline that estimates body joint angles from ordinary RGB video and automatically derives Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) scores for students performing bench-work tasks. Two-dimensional pose estimation localized anatomical landmarks; sagittal joint angles for the neck, trunk, upper arm, lower arm, and wrist were computed from landmark coordinates and mapped to RULA segment scores. Thirty engineering students were recorded performing five representative tasks (filing, hacksawing, marking/scribing, chiselling, and hand-tapping). The mean RULA grand score across tasks was 6.0, with 92% of observations falling in action levels 3–4 (“investigate and change”). Vision-derived joint angles agreed with manual goniometry to within a mean absolute error of 4.8°, and RULA grand scores matched an expert assessor within ±1 point in 96.7% of cases (weighted Cohen’s κ = 0.82). The results show that markerless computer vision offers a low-cost, objective, and scalable instrument for ergonomics education, posture feedback, and bench-station redesign.
