Abstract

The low achievement of student competencies in the Construction Project Management course, driven by the imbalance between theoretical learning and field practice, serves as the foundation of this study. Such conditions necessitate the implementation of more active, contextual, and student-centered learning methods. This study aims to analyze differences in learning outcomes, perceptions, and collaborative skills among students, while simultaneously measuring the effectiveness of applying the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) method integrated with Collaborative Learning in the Construction Project Management course. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design (one-group pretest-posttest) was employed, involving 15 students from the Vocational Education Program in Building Construction as the research sample. Data were collected through pretest and posttest instruments, Likert scale-based questionnaires, and observation sheets. Data analysis encompassed normality testing, homogeneity testing, paired sample t-test, and N-Gain calculations using SPSS. The findings revealed significant improvements across all variables: learning outcomes increased from a mean score of 67.00 to 89.00, student perceptions from 29.87 to 45.20, and collaborative skills from 34.40 to 44.47. A significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) confirmed that the alternative hypothesis was accepted. Furthermore, an N-Gain score of 0.72, classified within the high category, reinforces that the Collaborative Learning-based PjBL method is highly effective in promoting student learning improvement. Accordingly, this study provides a meaningful contribution to the development of collaborative project-based learning models in vocational education, while offering practical recommendations for lecturers in designing more contextual instructional strategies aligned with industry demands.

Abstract

Teaching Factory (TeFa) merupakan model pembelajaran berbasis produksi yang dirancang untuk mendekatkan pengalaman belajar siswa SMK dengan kondisi kerja nyata. Studi ini bertujuan menganalisis kontribusi TeFa terhadap pengalaman Praktik Kerja Lapangan (PKL) dan kesiapan kerja siswa di Indonesia. Menggunakan pendekatan PRISMA, sebanyak 25 artikel (2020–2026) dianalisis secara tematik. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa implementasi TeFa berkontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan kesiapan kerja, penguasaan hard skills, pengembangan soft skills, serta pembentukan jiwa kewirausahaan. Integrasi TeFa dengan PKL terbukti memberikan dampak lebih kuat dibandingkan implementasi terpisah. Selain itu, faktor seperti self-efficacy, motivasi, kreativitas, dan keterlibatan siswa berperan sebagai variabel moderasi penting. Tantangan utama mencakup keterbatasan kompetensi guru, infrastruktur, serta lemahnya kolaborasi dengan dunia usaha dan dunia industri (DUDI). Studi ini juga mengidentifikasi kesenjangan riset dan merekomendasikan penelitian lanjutan terkait evaluasi longitudinal, pengembangan instrumen terstandar, serta integrasi teknologi digital dalam TeFa.

Abstract

Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) merupakan aspek krusial dalam sektor konstruksi yang dikenal memiliki tingkat risiko kecelakaan tinggi. Organisasi Perburuhan Internasional (ILO) mencatat lebih dari 2,3 juta pekerja meninggal setiap tahun akibat kecelakaan dan penyakit akibat kerja, sementara BPJS Ketenagakerjaan mencatat lebih dari 265 ribu kasus kecelakaan kerja pada tahun 2022 di Indonesia, dengan sektor konstruksi sebagai salah satu penyumbang terbesar. Salah satu faktor dominan penyebab kecelakaan kerja adalah rendahnya kesadaran penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD), termasuk pada calon tenaga kerja dari Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Observasi awal di SMK Negeri 1 Suwawa, Kabupaten Bone Bolango, menunjukkan siswa kompetensi keahlian konstruksi masih belum terbiasa menggunakan APD saat praktik. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran siswa terhadap penerapan APD melalui edukasi, sosialisasi berbasis studi kasus kecelakaan kerja, dan diskusi interaktif. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test terhadap 14 siswa dengan 20 butir soal. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata akurasi jawaban dari 58% pada pre-test menjadi 81% pada post-test, atau meningkat 23 poin, setara skor gain ternormalisasi 0,55 (kategori sedang). Peningkatan paling menonjol terjadi pada pemahaman peran utama APD dan acuan regulasi Sistem Manajemen Keselamatan Konstruksi (SMKK). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa edukasi K3 berbasis studi kasus efektif meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa, meskipun perlu dilengkapi dengan praktik langsung penggunaan APD agar dampaknya lebih optimal..

Abstract

This study aims to conceptually examine the urgency of strengthening the foundations of student character in the era of artificial intelligence disruption. This study uses a qualitative approach with library research methods through critical analysis of scientific literature, educational policies, and technology ethics studies. The results show that student character formation in the AI era must be based on fundamental values such as moral responsibility, integrity, critical digital literacy, empathy, and ethical awareness in the use of technology. Character education cannot be positioned as a complementary element, but rather as a primary foundation that must be integrated into the curriculum, school culture, and technology-based learning practices.

Abstract

Geotechnical Geotechnical engineering has evolved into an increasingly diverse and multidisciplinary field, yet a comprehensive, data-driven mapping of its global publication trends, collaboration networks, and emerging research themes as an integrated discipline remains limited. This study aims to (1) analyze global publication trends and scientific developments in geotechnical engineering, (2) identify collaboration networks among countries, institutions, and authors, and (3) examine emerging topics and future research directions through bibliometric visualization. A bibliometric review was conducted on 245 Scopus-indexed publications (2016–2026), selected through a PRISMA-based screening process and analyzed using VOSviewer and Bibliometrix-R. The results show a consistent growth in publications, with a sharp acceleration during 2023–2025, driven by three dominant thematic clusters: artificial intelligence and digitalization, bio-based and sustainable geotechnics, and energy geotechnics. Collaboration network analysis reveals that China (35 publications) and the United States (33 publications) lead global output, followed by Australia, the United Kingdom, and Brazil, while developing regions, including Southeast Asia, Africa, and most of Latin America, remain underrepresented. Author-level analysis identifies Phoon, K.-K. as the most productive and influential researcher, reflecting a pronounced Matthew effect within the field. Keyword co-occurrence, overlay, and density visualizations further confirm that artificial intelligence and data-centric approaches represent the most rapidly accelerating research frontier, while sustainable geotechnics remains a stable, well-established research stream. These findings provide a comprehensive evidence base for guiding future research agendas, strengthening international collaboration, and directing geotechnical innovation toward more sustainable and technologically advanced solutions.
