Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of social interaction in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning based on socio-cultural theory at SMA Negeri 1 Rantau Bayur Banyuasin. The focus of this research is to explore how Islamic education teachers act as mediators in shaping religious social interactions that reflect the cultural context of the school environment. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The participants consist of Islamic education teachers, students, and the school principal, selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion verification. The findings reveal that PAI learning at SMA Negeri 1 Rantau Bayur is deeply rooted in local social and cultural values such as mutual cooperation, tolerance, and social awareness. Islamic education teachers play a crucial role as facilitators who integrate Islamic values into students’ daily lives through interactive and collaborative learning. These social interactions not only enhance students’ religious understanding but also strengthen their moral and social character. The implication of this study emphasizes the importance of applying socio-cultural theory in Islamic education to create a collaborative, contextual, and transformative learning environment. The unique value of this research lies in its contribution to enriching the discourse on socially grounded models of religious education in secondary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Qur’anic and Hadith values in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning and their impact on the formation of students’ religious character at SMA Negeri 1 Rantau Bayur Banyuasin. The background of this research is based on the importance of integrating Islamic values into formal education to develop students who are intellectually competent and morally upright. However, field realities indicate that the implementation of these values has not been fully optimal due to limited instructional time, students’ varied understanding, and insufficient religious facilities. This research employs a qualitative approach with a field research design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving teachers, the principal, and students. The findings reveal that the implementation of Qur’anic and Hadith values is carried out through lesson planning, role modeling, habituation, and value reflection. Furthermore, the school’s religious environment such as daily Qur’an recitations, congregational prayers, and Islamic celebration activities plays a significant role in strengthening students’ religious character. The results show an improvement in discipline in worship, politeness, moral responsibility, and social awareness among students. Values such as honesty, responsibility, and tolerance have begun to internalize within the school culture. Nevertheless, teachers still face challenges, including time constraints and students’ diverse levels of understanding. Therefore, teacher collaboration and the optimization of school-based religious activities are recommended to enhance the effectiveness of PAI learning grounded in Qur’anic and Hadith values. This study contributes to the development of a holistic and contextual model of Islamic education.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and validate an interactive learning media for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) on the topic of worship practices for senior high school students at SMAN 1 Rantau Bayur. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE instructional design model, consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. Data were collected through interviews, classroom observations, documentation, and expert validation questionnaires. The developed product was evaluated by one material expert and one media expert using a five-point Likert scale. The findings indicated that conventional teaching methods, dominated by lectures and simple demonstrations, limited students’ engagement and understanding of worship practices. The interactive learning media was designed by integrating multimedia elements, including instructional videos, animations, illustrations, narration, and interactive quizzes, to facilitate meaningful and student-centered learning. Expert validation demonstrated that the product achieved a feasibility score of 94% from the material expert and 93% from the media expert, with an overall average of 93.5%, categorized as "very feasible." These results confirm that the developed learning media meets pedagogical, technical, and instructional quality standards. The study concludes that interactive multimedia developed through a systematic instructional design process can enhance the quality of Islamic Religious Education by increasing students’ understanding, learning motivation, and active participation. The developed media is recommended as an innovative instructional resource for improving worship practice learning in senior high schools.

Abstract

Multiple linear regression is widely used in educational research to examine the statistical association of several predictors with an outcome. Its interpretation, however, depends on appropriate model specification and diagnostic evaluation. This study examined a two-predictor regression model of students’ learning outcomes and evaluated the statistical assumptions preceding model interpretation. A quantitative survey design was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Rantau Bayur. The sample comprised 40 students selected purposively. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires whose validity and reliability had been assessed and were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics. The analysis included descriptive statistics, distributional diagnostics, homoscedasticity, multicollinearity, heteroskedasticity diagnostics, and multiple linear regression. The reported results showed Shapiro–Wilk p values above .05 for X1, X2, and Y; a Levene statistic of 1.244 (p = .272); tolerance of .712 and VIF of 1.404 for both predictors; and no apparent heteroskedastic pattern in the residual scatterplot. The regression model yielded positive coefficients for X1 (B = 0.413, SE = 0.098, p < .001) and X2 (B = 0.287, SE = 0.081, p = .001), with R = .742, R² = .551, and adjusted R² = .526. Thus, the two predictors jointly accounted for 55.1% of the observed variance in learning outcomes in this sample. The study highlights the importance of regression diagnostics while emphasizing that purposive sampling and a single-school sample constrain generalizability and that the observed associations should not be interpreted causally.
