Abstract

Background. Indonesia is experiencing a strategic momentum towards Indonesia Emas 2045, a long-term vision centered on the quality of its human resources. Aims. This study aims to analyze strategies to improve the quality of education and the mastery of science and technology (IPTEK) to prepare an adaptive, competitive, and innovative generation. Methods. The method used is an exploratory qualitative approach through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) involving education stakeholders, complemented by a SWOT analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in the education system. Result. The results of the study indicate that the main challenges faced are disparities in educational quality across regions, low literacy in IPTEK, and a lack of integration between the curriculum and the needs of the world of work. Conclusion. Through the SWOT Analysis, the main technical priorities to be addressed include procurement of ICT devices, ongoing teacher training, equalizing infrastructure, and strengthening the vocational curriculum. Implementation. This study provides strategic recommendations for transforming the Indonesian education system to be more adaptive and aligned with the needs of the 21st century.

Abstract

Background. The professionalism of education supervision is a strategic factor in ensuring the quality of education delivery, especially at the primary and secondary levels. Purpose. This study aims to analyze the level of professionalism of school supervisors in West Java Province and its impact on improving the quality of teachers and schools. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, supported by simple quantitative data from a survey of 75 school supervisors across five districts. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and questionnaires, based on supervisory competency indicators set out in Permendikbud Number 143 of 2014. Results. The results of the study show that the professional competence of supervisors in West Java is in the high category (82%), especially in the dimensions of academic and managerial supervision. However, the main challenge remains mastering digital technology and implementing continuous evaluation. Conclusion. The analysis also showed a positive correlation between the intensity of supervision and improvements in the quality of teachers' performance and in the achievement of school accreditation. Implementation. This research emphasizes the importance of capacity building and continuous professional development for education supervisors as quality agents in the regions.

Abstract

Background. The construction industry plays a strategic role in Indonesia’s economic development, particularly through State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) that are mandated to deliver national infrastructure projects. Despite their importance, Indonesian construction SOEs continue to face persistent challenges, including low productivity, cost overruns, schedule delays, bureaucratic complexity, and limited organizational agility. Lean Management has been widely recognized as a practical approach to improving efficiency and reducing waste; however, its application in the construction sector has predominantly focused on project-level operations rather than organizational-level readiness. Aims. This study aims to identify the key factors influencing the successful implementation of Lean Management in Indonesian construction SOEs and to assess how these factors interact in determining organizational readiness. Methods. A quantitative research design was employed, with a structured survey administered to 246–250 respondents from six major Indonesian construction SOEs. The study adopts the Lean Construction Maturity Model (LCMM), consisting of 11 main attributes: lean leadership, customer focus, organizational culture, competency, process and tools, change management, work environment, business results, and learning and competency development. Data were analyzed using linear regression to examine relationships among influencing factors and their contribution to Lean Management readiness. Result. The findings are expected to yield a Lean Management Implementation Readiness Index that provides a comprehensive measure of organizational preparedness and highlights critical interdependencies among factors. Conclusion. The study contributes theoretically by extending lean management research to the organizational level within construction SOEs and practically by offering a diagnostic tool to support strategic decision-making, policy formulation, and performance improvement in Indonesia’s construction sector.

Abstract

Background. Production quantity forecasting is a crucial element in the planning and control of manufacturing systems, as it directly affects operational efficiency and capacity utilization. Production systems are generally classified into continuous and discontinuous line flow, which differ in process flow characteristics and levels of variability. Aims. This study aims to examine production quantity forecasting methods for both systems using a Barchart simulation approach as a visualization and process time analysis tool. Methods. The research method used is a systematic literature review and conceptual modeling based on production time, cycle time, setup time, and waiting time. Conclusion. The results of the study indicate that Barchart simulation is effective in representing the stability of production flow in continuous line flow systems and identifying process variability and irregularity in discontinuous line flow systems. Implementation. Thus, the Barchart simulation can be used as a simple yet informative tool to support production quantity forecasting based on manufacturing system characteristics.

Abstract

Background. Lean Management and Lean Construction have been widely recognized as effective approaches to improving efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing organizational performance. However, the readiness of construction organizations—particularly State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs)—to implement Lean Management remains insufficiently explored, especially in developing countries. Aims. This study aims to assess the factors influencing Lean Management implementation and to evaluate the readiness level of Indonesian construction SOEs using a quantitative approach. The research adopts Lean Management as its theoretical foundation and applies the Lean Construction Maturity Model (LCMM) as the primary measurement framework to capture organizational readiness comprehensively. Methods. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire distributed to management-level respondents across six Indonesian state-owned construction companies, involving division heads, section managers, staff, and project managers, with a total sample of approximately 250 respondents. The analysis employs linear regression within a structural model to examine the relationships among key readiness factors, including leadership, culture and behavior, competence, continuous improvement support, processes and tools, organizational change, work environment, business results, and learning and competency development. Result. The findings are expected to provide empirical insights into the interdependencies among these factors and to identify critical readiness gaps that may hinder effective Lean Management implementation. Conclusion. This study contributes theoretically by extending the application of LCMM to Lean Management readiness assessment and practically by offering a structured diagnostic framework for SOEs seeking to enhance Lean adoption in the construction sector.

Abstract

Background. The SPPG Kitchen Program has been running for more than a year as an effort to meet the food needs of the beneficiary communities. Although it has shown various progress, its implementation still faces a number of obstacles that have an impact on service quality, including the suspension of around 1500 SPPG units. Aims. This research aims to analyze problems in the implementation of SPPG and formulate effective supply chain implementation strategies.Methods.The methodology used includes stakeholder mapping, food safety, and K3 knowledge gap analysis, and cause-and-effect analysis. In addition, the SCOR (Supply Chain Operations Reference) model approach and SWOT analysis are used to deepen the evaluation of supply chain systems.Result.The results of the study show that the main problems lie in the disintegration of the supply chain, differences in stakeholder interests, and low human resource capacity. Recommended strategies include system integration, process simplification, human resource capacity building, and strengthening local ecosystems. Implementation. The implementation of this strategy is expected to improve the efficiency, stability, and quality of SPPG services.
