Abstract

Abstract : The problem of job stress is not addressed will be able to reduce the level of labor productivity and reflects a poor performance. Many factors play a role as a trigger of workplace stress everyone. If the stress of work is going on a nurse, then the role of which is the nurse characteristics (age, education level, marital status, employment status, type of personality), work environment, and the work itself. Generally, job stress caused by the demands of the job do not match the capabilities and skills of workers, which is often the cause staunch educational factors, personality type, and work environment. This study used analytic method with cross sectional approach, and the sampling technique is done by total sampling 22 responden and chi-square test with significance level α = 5 % (0.05). The analysis showed a significant relationship between work environment factors to the stress of nurses working in the Intensive Care Unit Hospital Dr.H. Chasan Boesoirie Ternate with p = 0.015, no significant relationship between the factors of job stress of nurses with a value of p = 0.574, there is a significant relationship between the level of education and work stress nurse with a value of p = 0.003, there was a significant association between type personality with work stress nurse with a value of p = 0.023, there was no significant relationship between age and job stress of nurses with a value of p = 0.293, there was no significant relationship between marital status with the stress of nurses with a value of p = 0983, no relationship was significant between employment status with the stress of nurses with a value of p = 0562, and the factors most associated with job stress of nurses in the Emergency Unit of Hospital Dr. H. Chasan Boesoirie Ternate is a personality type with Exp (B) 12.093. Therefore, it is expected that the Hospital Dr. H. Chasan Boesoirie Ternate to deregulate (restructuring) tasks and roles with the application of professional nursing practice.

Abstract

Abstract : Malaria is the leading cause of death tropical diseases an estimated one million people in the worldwide die each year and new cases of malaria 200-300 million / year, and is one of the major public health problem because it affects morbidity infants, toddlers and maternal and give rise to extraordinary events. This study aims to examine the relationship behavior with the public about the prevention of malaria incidence in all three working areas of the health center. This study uses analytic approach to case control study, and the sampling technique is done by total sampling a total of 36 cases and 36 controls, and performed with the chi-square test with significance level α = 5% (0.05). The analysis showed a significant relationship between behavior modification with malaria incidence with a value of P = 0.002. there is a significant relationship between environmental modifications with malaria incidence with a value of P = 0.004. There was no significant relationship between the behavior of personal protection with malaria incidence with a value of P = 0.343. It was concluded that there was no significant relationship between the behavior of personal protection with the incidence of malaria, There is a significant relationship between behavior modification and modification of the environment with the incidence of malaria. Therefore, it is expected that the health centers regularly conduct counseling on malaria and prevention efforts.

Abstract

Introduction: : Lack of health literacy for smoking nurses has worsened image of nursing services. The role of leader can be a support in increasing behavior change of nurses who smoke. The aimed to find out health literacy of smokers in nursing staff through interpersonal role of the head of the room by intervention based on Peplau’s model.Methods: A quasi-experimental research with a pre-and post-control group design, using modification questionnaire of knowledge and behavior. The target population was nurses living in Singkawang who smoke in a hospital. Sample was 35 respondents for each group (controlling group and intervention group) using purposive sampling. Dependent variable is health literacy among nurses who smoke and independent variable is intervention based on Peplau’s model. Intervention is in the form of a guide module consisting of strengthening health literacy (health awareness, self-reflection, cognitive competence and behavioral interpersonal relationships in the head of the room) and   will be implemented to nurses who smoke. Analysis data for bivariate used paired t – test and for multivariate used the McNemar test.Results: The research showed that the difference before and after intervention was 2.23 (p = 0.001) and control group was 8.00 with a default value of 0.870 deviation. The results showed a significant increase in health literacy in nurse smokers through the role of interpersonal head nurse (p=0.001).Conclusion:Role of head of room in interpersonal relationship with Peplau’s model affects the health literacy of nursing staff who smoke.

Abstract

Indonesia National Adolescent Mental Health Survey (I-NAMHS) shows that one in three adolescents aged 10-17 years in Indonesia had mental health problems in the last 12 months, equivalent to 15.5 million adolescents in the country and one in 20 adolescents aged 10-17 years in Indonesia also experience mental disorders equivalent to 2.45 million adolescents in the country. Of the 120 respondents, it was found that there were several emotional and mental problems, namely, the aspect of emotional problems in the high abnormal category. This study aims to determine the effect of implementing supportive therapy on adolescent mental problems. This study employs a quantitative, quasi-experimental pre-post-test design with a control group. The inclusion criteria are divided into class A and class B. The total sample used based on the screening results is 120 adolescents. 60 adolescents from class A were given the intervention group, and 60 adolescents from class B were made the control group and did not receive group supportive therapy. The sampling technique used in this study was the total sampling technique. The instrument used was the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ). The results of the study obtained a range of mental and emotional problems of adolescents in the intervention group before therapy, namely emotional problems 48.3%, behavioral problems 26.7%, peer problems 12.5%, and hyperactivity 12.5%. after therapy, emotional problems were 45%, behavioral problems 16.6%, hyperactivity 3.33%, and peer problems 13.3%. This shows that there is a significant difference between the range of mental and emotional problems after being given supportive group therapy.

Abstract

Earthquake disasters can occur at any time and humans are not yet able to detect when they can occur. Children are included in a group that is vulnerable to the impact of disasters because of their lack of knowledge regarding disaster mitigation. To minimize the impact of disaster events, education on disaster mitigation is needed. To determine the influence of the school's role in increasing students' disaster preparedness abilities in junior high schools in Ternate City. Quasi-experimental research type with a one-group pre-post test design. Data were analyzed using the non-parametric Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The research subjects consisted of teachers (seven respondents) and students (90 respondents). The data were processed using the non-parametric Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The analysis results showed that asymp. sign. (2-tailed) The teacher's score is 0.018 and the student's score is 0.000, where the value of 0.000 is smaller than p value = 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is an increase in disaster preparedness abilities among schoolteachers and students. The role of schools is very important in disseminating disaster mitigation education as basic knowledge that requires learning as early as possible, so that a culture of disaster mitigation grows both before, during, and after a disaster. There was an increase in the ability of teachers and students at school after a disaster preparedness simulation was carried out at a junior high school in Ternate City.
