Abstract

This article discusses risk mitigation in the construction project of the lobby building and facade renovation of TK Dwijendra Denpasar. In this project, risk identification is crucial to understand the potential risks of each activity and then analyze the impact on the continuity of the construction project. The author successfully identified as many as 81 risks from 11 possible risk sources in this project. To reduce the negative impact of the identified risks, the author suggests several risk mitigation strategies, such as retaining risk, reducing risk, transferring risk, and avoiding risk. These strategies can help manage uncertainties related to potential hazards in construction projects.

Abstract

The challenge of Pererenan Beach Development is to determine the efficiency of resource utilization, so that it does not exceed its carrying capacity. The carrying capacity of Pererenan Beach tourism is carried out by analyzing the suitability of coastal tourism. Then calculate the capacity to measure the number of tourists that can be accommodated without damaging the ecosystem. This study aims to determine the suitability and carrying capacity of coastal tourism. The method used is quantitative and descriptive analysis method. The results showed that the carrying capacity of the area on Pererenan Beach was classified under the carrying capacity and had a very suitable relative criterion (S1) with a percentage value of 96% suitable for use as beach recreation tourism. The Covid-19 pandemic provides a lesson that the concept of carrying capacity is important to avoid mass tourism and reduce the number of tourists according to their capacity so that visitors get comfort and travel satisfaction.

Abstract

Fields or parks in the city center as public open spaces have social functions, ecological functions, environmental functions and economic functions. In terms of economic function, its existence has an impact as a movement of regional economic development. Fields that are strategically located in the core of the city center of government will affect the development of land use around them. As a result, this will have implications for increasing the need for land, which will ultimately escalate the economic value of the land. This study aims to analyze the impact of the existence of Renon Field as a public open space on the economic value of the land around it. The method used is a descriptive and comparative quantitative approach. The study used a comparison test of the difference between two areas, namely the subject area (Jl. Raya Puputan) as the affected area and the control area (Jl. Cok. Agung Tresna and Jl. Moh. Yamin) as a controlled area/considered not affected. Thus, the results obtained show that the existence of the Renon Field has a real impact with the acquisition of land value results in the subject area (Jl. Raya Puputan) being greater and/or having a significant difference in land value compared to the land value in the control area (Jl. Cok. Agung Tresna and Jl. Moh Yamin) as a corridor that is considered unaffected.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the most effective spatial setting for the fitness spots with pandemic mitigation in the city park of Puputan Badung Denpasar Bali as well as to identify various responses of human behavior in complying with health protocols. A mixed-method strategy was utilized, where a quantitative technique was used to determine the level of compliance. A qualitative inquiry with a case study method was also used to assess the influence of spatial attributes on human behavior. The respondents were selected using accidental sampling during peak times for a week. The sport activities observed were fitness, which was available in several spots of parks. Based on human behavior theories, the fitness space equipped with COVID-19 mitigation measures has not provided optimal stimuli to the people in complying with health protocols, leading to low compliance levels. The results of this study can be used as a reference to evaluate the effectiveness of implementing pandemic mitigation in the city park of Puputan Badung and other city parks with similar characteristics from an architectural perspective.

Abstract

The Ceking Rice Terrace tourist area in Tegallalang, Gianyar is one of Bali's iconic agrotourism destinations, relying on the scenic beauty of terraced rice paddies as its primary attraction. As tourist visits increase, pressure on spatial utilization in this area intensifies, potentially threatening the preservation of the terraced paddies and the ecological-cultural balance of the local community. Desa Adat (Traditional Village) Tegallalang holds authority based on awig-awig and pararem, reinforced by Bali Provincial Regulation Number 4 of 2019 on Traditional Villages. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Traditional Village's role in controlling spatial utilization in the tourist area. A qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach was employed through field observations, in-depth interviews, and review of customary regulatory documents. The findings indicate that the Traditional Village has performed its control function through awig-awig, area arrangement pararem, and co-management with subak; however, its effectiveness remains constrained by weak coordination with local government, economic pressure from tourism businesses, and limited institutional capacity. This study recommends strengthening collaboration between Desa Adat, Desa Dinas, and local government within a spatial control system grounded in the Tri Hita Karana values.

Abstract

Balinese building design reflects its rich cultural heritage and strong traditional identity. In this design, the use of garland and decoration plays a central role in creating a unique aesthetic and expressing religious values and the natural surroundings. Carvings, such as the structures on pelinggih, provide a distinctive physical structure, while decoration, such as wood carvings and paintings, add artistic details that enrich the appearance of the building. Through this research, we explore the use of garland and decoration in Balinese building design and instill them with cultural identity and traditional values.
